The Review of the Overdrive from Aza

When reviewing the Overdrive from Aza, it was clear that this was going to be a unique and exciting project. The first thing that caught my attention was when they reached out and asked if I wanted to review their product. As soon as I saw the initial image of the Overdrive lifted up, I knew that this was going to be a special build. I envisioned a futuristic looking case with a hint of sci-fi elements.

One of the first things that struck me about the Overdrive was its design. It looked like a combination of a mech's chest piece and Iron Man's suit. The idea of incorporating battle damage, blaster holes, and scorch marks into the build really caught my attention. I could already imagine the possibilities for weathering techniques, adding to the overall aesthetic of the case.

Upon closer inspection, it became clear that the Overdrive was made up of multiple panels that could be easily accessed and modified. The use of screws, clips, and other fasteners allowed users to customize the build to their liking. I also noticed that the front panel connectors were designed with a satisfying click, indicating high-quality construction.

As I delved deeper into the review, I began to explore the various features of the Overdrive. One of my favorite aspects was the use of decorative covers that could be applied to the back of the case. These covers added an extra layer of complexity and customization options, making the build truly unique. The designers had also included a gap between the panels on each side, allowing for easy cable management and minimizing clutter.

The build process itself seemed relatively straightforward, with most components easily accessible. However, I did notice that the designers had intentionally left out certain details, leaving room for users to add their own customizations. This approach not only encouraged creativity but also added a layer of excitement to the building process.

One aspect that really stood out during my review was the level of attention to detail. From the pin stripping lines on the Overdrive to the overall design aesthetic, it was clear that the designers had put a lot of thought into creating something truly special. I found myself getting lost in the possibilities and ideas for this build, eager to start experimenting with different modifications.

Throughout my review, I couldn't help but think about potential builds that could be created using the Overdrive. A mech warrior theme seemed like an obvious choice, with intricate details and paint schemes inspired by iconic sci-fi franchises. Alternatively, users could opt for a more subtle approach, incorporating camouflage patterns or metallic colors to create a sleeker look.

Overall, my experience with the Overdrive from Aza was nothing short of exceptional. This case had truly exceeded my expectations, offering an unparalleled level of customization and design flexibility. Whether you're an experienced builder or just starting out, the Overdrive is sure to provide hours of entertainment and creativity.

A Giveaway Opportunity

As I concluded my review, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement about the potential for this case. And that's not all – I also wanted to share some exciting news with our readers. click the link in the description below all right i think i know what's in here i do know what's in here so if you guys have never heard of the brand as a i think that's how you say it as a they reached out to me were like hey do you want to review this thing we got and i'm like i like reviewing things so today we're going to review their thing as soon as i um wrap it wow you know i will give things that come from china this credit i wish people who ship things domestically cared this much they reinforced the corners they wrapped the like this is like probably an entire roll of the packing wrap i love unique looking cases as i makes some of the weirdest looking cases i've seen on the market so this is the as a overdrive i believe they said this is the only review sample that went out making me the only one that has it i like when that's the case speaking of case oh it's a box in a box fun fact i actually ordered a really neat looking as a like briefcase pc case like last year on amazon and then they messaged me like a month later and we're like sorry it's gone and it never came that's why we ended up making our own little briefcase thing remember that phil that was derivative of that i was worried i wasn't have to build this case i'm glad i don't have to the thing with a lot of these really weird designs like think of the cougar conker case and all that you have to put it together this one appears like it's already built oh wow so here's the accessories this doesn't give you an idea of just how weird this case is going to be already just look at that panel right there it's very stealth fightery huh looks like we have some drive cages brackets and things here's another one of those i'm not sure where that goes we'll figure it out in a second this is why you guys are here that's upside down this is why you guys are here so one of the first things i thought of when i saw this case is it looks like a damn engine okay everyone knows i like the weird cases okay oh going doors on your case first things first i can see that we have room for at least two 360 millimeter radiators these screw in right here the anodizing quality on this no powder coating this is actually powder coated this is thick i really like the color of it this is a definitely a gunmetal but i like the fact that we have plexiglas oh that's magnetic that is satisfying listen so you can see the magnets right there right so when it closes it's just like i i mean that's just a neat effect it's a it's a it's a pretty open chassis right so it's pretty obvious that uh airflow in this thing is just well if you care about dust i guess keep them closed but either way this is going to be a mess you've got this one fan right here on the front i guess it can sort of push air across the motherboard because look here's your motherboard tray right here and so that's gonna push air just along the motherboard all right so having looked at the manual you have a couple things you can do here so here's the bracket that you would mount up to a 360 millimeter rad or 420 on there uh and it is the piece that was right here as you guys saw they came pre-installed right here or you can actually turn those into your graphics card installation area because you get two of these brackets here so you can choose basically a right or left and then they fit right here like so they screw into the back and then you have a place to actually mount your graphics card down to so it's a horizontal graphics card the other cool thing is you can mount your radiators down here into this side piece right here because you can see these holes are mount are the right spacing for a 360 rad and only 360. they won't fit at 420. makes you could do a 120 or 240 which would look dumb but those can go there for radiator mountings and then or you could space it and have your fans there and then you rad inset so you can have technically three 360 millimeter radiators and i only say three because of the fact that you need uh to be able to have your graphics card here a couple other things to talk about where i showed you how this thing sort of folds away right here and allows you to have tempered glass that you can see down there through motherboard goes right here obviously in the center but check this out you have an integrated reservoir mounting area as well this is the bracket you can attach your reservoir to you can fit a pretty good size res i like that they have this groove right here that way if you have cables like that they'll fit but this just gives you an idea right that if you are then going to have this really neat kind of a central oh hey that does fit even that big old piece holy cow look at that your reservoir would be kind of like right there in the very center as a as a nice little design piece one thing to keep in mind with that though is this is putting your res at the top of the loop so you would want to keep that angle as much as possible not have it laid down like that because of the fact that you would want to obviously be able to keep your pump being fed properly which i think would work just fine as long as you're using a pump res combo motherboard tray here looks like it will fit potentially eatx it looks like we have eatx mounting screws so this is just a standard uh it is an eatx right it's atx for sure maybe not a true eacx but it's an old uh maximus 10. so you can see right here that you do have plenty of room for an eatx motherboard you have this nice opening right here that leads down to the power supply chamber so your cables can come up and plug into your 24 pin and such nicely the other thing too the worth that's worth mentioning is in terms of running tubing and stuff with this uh rigid tubing would be difficult-ish only because everything's sort of enclosed in a cage right oops but you have a lot of these openings here right so you got these big openings that you could easily run so if you had a graphics card sitting up in here with this mount sitting like this you'd have plenty of room to actually be able to have your tubing kind of come up through here go down into your cpu block you've got openings on the side where the hard drives mount if you're not putting actual sata drives in there then you'd be able to have tubing come out the side and maybe up through here to like your rad and stuff so you'd be able to definitely get this to look pretty neat i think it's a very new case so i'm sure the only people that are going to probably have builds out on these are going to be a lot of the pro modders and stuff that are probably given some of these cases ahead of time to you know come up with some promotional builds and stuff for it i'd like to do a build in this my problem is i like to do a build in every case i get and so i there's only so much time and so many parts to do builds all the time it's a rough life but someone's got to do it in terms of the power supply area you get a lot of room down here in the bottom as well because you can see the power supply gets centered right here and you do have this bracket that you remove to get it out but you have plenty of room on either side of it to be able to hide cables and stuff and you can see that this is where a lot of the cables that are part of the case already are bundled together so you've got your two usb 3.0s you've got your usbc right here your front panel connectors and then your hd audio and then you can run this obviously up through where you need it but you have plenty of room on the sides and the reason why i'm pointing that out is it's an area where you could hide a lot of things like tubing and and whatnot you could even mount a standalone pump down here if you wanted and then have a tube reservoir up here that's feeding that pump and then you have to worry about the whole pump being too high in the loop type of thing because that would be my only concern with this is the fact that that's not a very aggressive angle to try and feed the pump again as long as the water is above it you'll be perfectly fine but if you had a reservoir sitting here with tubes going down to a pump down in the basement then that alleviates any of those concerns whatsoever and then we also found out what these pieces were for by looking at the overdrive manual that you get with the qr code these are basically just decorative covers that would go on the back right here and then there's two screws holes right here on the side and then it just becomes a an interesting rear cover technically and then there's enough of a gap between the two panels right here because it's going to be symmetrical so what you see here is the opposite over there plenty of a gap right here are plenty big of a gap to be able to have your cables uh power cables usb cables ethernet and all that come out without any sort of a problem and then when this is closed that's what it looks like this has got to be one of the most futuristic looking builds i think that i have ever seen and i'm looking at this and my mind is just like kind of going crazy with build concept ideas like i'm gonna tell you right now phil already mentioned we with the start of this when we saw this uh when they reached out and asked if i wanted to review this the first thing i saw was when they had this lifted up like that i i saw a v8 i saw maybe doing some sort of mod to make it look like cylinders and have headers and stuff coming off of it but you know the more i look at this this starts to look like either iron man's chest piece but i also feel like it looks like a mech and this would be an awesome one to do battle damage with and stuff like on the star wars build having blaster holes in it and scorch marks and maybe a little bit of rust like i feel like this would be a hell of a build to do my weathering techniques with you guys know when it comes to my builds they take time we've got a business to run around here that are that's not just involving building computers and it takes a lot of work and a lot of effort but i like to do them right so if you guys have an idea or if you'd like to see me do one of my battle worn damaged type builds on this and let me know down in the comments below what you think i should do i guess an important part to point out that i didn't do earlier is all of the front panel connectors right here on the front underneath the fan that's a very satisfying click you always tell the quality of a case by the firmness of its button it's like the case handshake if you go to shake someone's hand and it's all wet and like a limp noodle then you know that that person he ain't worth doing business with if he can't actually shake your hand it's like a button on your case that goes was like a double press no i was just pushing too hard and breaking it probably and then you got your usbc on the front headphone jack mic jack and then of course your fan right here so i'm curious do you guys want me to do a mech warrior type build on this you want me to we the cool part is because we've got the qriket we could come up with the nice like pin striping lines and stuff like you would see on a on a jet or something but you guys have another idea sound off in the comments below what you guys think thanks for coming and hanging out on this unboxing again i think they said this is the think would work just fine as long as you're using a pump res combo motherboard tray here looks like it will fit potentially eatx it looks like we have eatx mounting screws so this is just a standard uh it is an eatx right it's atx for sure maybe not a true eacx but it's an old uh maximus 10. so you can see right here that you do have plenty of room for an eatx motherboard you have this nice opening right here that leads down to the power supply chamber so your cables can come up and plug into your 24 pin and such nicely the other thing too the worth that's worth mentioning is in terms of running tubing and stuff with this uh rigid tubing would be difficult-ish only because everything's sort of enclosed in a cage right oops but you have a lot of these openings here right so you got these big openings that you could easily run so if you had a graphics card sitting up in here with this mount sitting like this you'd have plenty of room to actually be able to have your tubing kind of come up through here go down into your cpu block you've got openings on the side where the hard drives mount if you're not putting actual sata drives in there then you'd be able to have tubing come out the side and maybe up through here to like your rad and stuff so you'd be able to definitely get this to look pretty neat i think it's a very new case so i'm sure the only people that are going to probably have builds out on these are going to be a lot of the pro modders and stuff that are probably given some of these cases ahead of time to you know come up with some promotional builds and stuff for it i'd like to do a build in this my problem is i like to do a build in every case i get and so i there's only so much time and so many parts to do builds all the time it's a rough life but someone's got to do it in terms of the power supply area you get a lot of room down here in the bottom as well because you can see the power supply gets centered right here and you do have this bracket that you remove to get it out but you have plenty of room on either side of it to be able to hide cables and stuff and you can see that this is where a lot of the cables that are part of the case already are bundled together so you've got your two usb 3.0s you've got your usbc right here your front panel connectors and then your hd audio and then you can run this obviously up through where you need it but you have plenty of room on the sides and the reason why i'm pointing that out is it's an area where you could hide a lot of things like tubing and and whatnot you could even mount a standalone pump down here if you wanted and then have a tube reservoir up here that's feeding that pump and then you have to worry about the whole pump being too high in the loop type of thing because that would be my only concern with this is the fact that that's not a very aggressive angle to try and feed the pump again as long as the water is above it you'll be perfectly fine but if you had a reservoir sitting here with tubes going down to a pump down in the basement then that alleviates any of those concerns whatsoever and then we also found out what these pieces were for by looking at the overdrive manual that you get with the qr code these are basically just decorative covers that would go on the back right here and then there's two screws holes right here on the side and then it just becomes a an interesting rear cover technically and then there's enough of a gap between the two panels right here because it's going to be symmetrical so what you see here is the opposite over there plenty of a gap right here are plenty big of a gap to be able to have your cables uh power cables usb cables ethernet and all that come out without any sort of a problem and then when this is closed that's what it looks like this has got to be one of the most futuristic looking builds i think that i have ever seen and i'm looking at this and my mind is just like kind of going crazy with build concept ideas like i'm gonna tell you right now phil already mentioned we with the start of this when we saw this uh when they reached out and asked if i wanted to review this the first thing i saw was when they had this lifted up like that i i saw a v8 i saw maybe doing some sort of mod to make it look like cylinders and have headers and stuff coming off of it but you know the more i look at this this starts to look like either iron man's chest piece but i also feel like it looks like a mech and this would be an awesome one to do battle damage with and stuff like on the star wars build having blaster holes in it and scorch marks and maybe a little bit of rust like i feel like this would be a hell of a build to do my weathering techniques with you guys know when it comes to my builds they take time we've got a business to run around here that are that's not just involving building computers and it takes a lot of work and a lot of effort but i like to do them right so if you guys have an idea or if you'd like to see me do one of my battle worn damaged type builds on this and let me know down in the comments below what you think i should do i guess an important part to point out that i didn't do earlier is all of the front panel connectors right here on the front underneath the fan that's a very satisfying click you always tell the quality of a case by the firmness of its button it's like the case handshake if you go to shake someone's hand and it's all wet and like a limp noodle then you know that that person he ain't worth doing business with if he can't actually shake your hand it's like a button on your case that goes was like a double press no i was just pushing too hard and breaking it probably and then you got your usbc on the front headphone jack mic jack and then of course your fan right here so i'm curious do you guys want me to do a mech warrior type build on this you want me to we the cool part is because we've got the qriket we could come up with the nice like pin striping lines and stuff like you would see on a on a jet or something but you guys have another idea sound off in the comments below what you guys think thanks for coming and hanging out on this unboxing again i think they said this is the only sample they sent out which means i've got to follow through on the build can't just set it on the shelf so there you go guys thanks for watching and as always we'll see in the next one if you want to know more about it check the description below i'll put a link down to their website this is the overdrive from aza hey you before you click off this video you may or may not be aware i'm actually doing a worldwide graphics card giveaway where one winner will get to choose either a 6800 xt merc 319 card from xfx or a 2080
