**The Making of Two Delicious Sauces: A Vegan Salt and Caramel Sauce and a Chocolate Sauce**
In this video, we're going to cover two delicious sauces that can elevate any dish to the next level. First, we'll be making a vegan salt and caramel sauce using coconut milk, which is not only dairy-free but also has a slightly coconuty aroma to it. This sauce is incredibly simple to make and requires just a few ingredients: sugar, salt, and coconut milk. We're going to start by heating up the sugar and salt in a pan until they dissolve, then add in our coconut milk while stirring constantly to prevent any sticking.
As we heat up the mixture, we'll want to ensure it reaches a boiling point before adding the coconut milk. Once the water starts boiling off and the mixture thickens, we'll reduce the stirring frequency as the sauce darkens faster. If our caramel turns out too firm at room temperature, we can simply reheat it until it's liquid again and add a neutral oil to achieve a pouring consistency.
Moving on to the chocolate sauce, this is another simple yet delicious recipe that uses baker's chocolate, which happens to be dairy-free in itself. We'll heat up the remaining coconut milk in the microwave until it's hot, then chop up our baker's chocolate and pour the hot milk over it. By whisking everything together, we'll melt the chocolate and create a smooth sauce.
To give the chocolate sauce an extra boost of flavor, we'll add a tiny dash of vanilla extract. This is where vanilla can make chocolate-flavored things seem even more chocolatey. Our two sauces are now ready to be used in various recipes or as toppings for ice cream or other desserts. We hope you enjoy making and using these sauces, and don't forget to like and subscribe for more recipe videos.

**Tips and Variations**
If you find that your caramel sauce is too firm at room temperature, don't worry! Simply reheat it until it's liquid again and add a little bit of neutral oil to achieve a pouring consistency. We used avocado oil in our case.
Also, if you prefer a stronger vanilla flavor, feel free to add more vanilla extract to the chocolate sauce. However, we found that just a tiny dash was enough to give it an extra boost without overpowering the other flavors.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enand welcome back to love your food this week we have two vegan sauces for you this is a salted caramel and a chocolate sauce this is to go with the vegan ice cream and is going to culminate in next week's video which is going to be a little bit s a little bit silly uh before we get started I'd like to remind everyone that we have an affiliate link with Chef's temp if you need a kitchen thermometer or meat probe please check out the link in the description below and use code loveyou food on checkout for 15% off your order in the meantime here's our ingredients so we've got some baker's chocolate some coconut milk a little bit of salt for your salted caramel and some sugar super simple this is going to cover both recipes so first things first we're going to start uh to uh heat up our sugar and salt so we are making a uh a vegan salt and caramel here so there's going to be instead of cream in this we're going to be using coconut milk and it's going to have a slightly coconuty Aroma to it um but it's really really delicious actually both of these sauces came out extremely well so these are going to go into our hot pan and we're just going to keep that moving you want to make sure it gets hot and uh once it starts getting real hot and starts to show some signs of melting we're going to add in our coconut milk now we're not going to use all of it the rest of it we're going to use for the chocolate sauce in the other uh part of this video and you want to keep stirring this you really want to keep it moving you don't want any anything to stick to the bottom you want all of that sugar to dissolve and we're trying to make caramel here so we want all of the uh water to uh evaporate out of our coconut milk and we want that all to condense we want the flavor to condense and we want it to caramelize so you can see here uh the water's boiling off it's starting to thicken really really nicely once it starts to really thicken you can see here it is much more the consistency we're looking for uh you want to start uh stirring it less often because as you stir it less often it's going to start to darken faster now hours if it turns out that your uh caramel is a little too uh firm at room temperature what we did was we heated it back up uh until it was liquid or at least molten again and added a little bit of neutral oil we used avocado oil and that will sort of give it that that uh pouring consistency now as far as the chocolate sauce goes this is just a very simple sort of uh chocolate sauce so we're going to take the remainder of our um coconut milk and we're just going to heat that up in the microwave we're going to chop up our baker's chocolate and this is all going to go into the uh now this is this baker's chocolate is dairy free it doesn't have any dairy in it so this is all vegan and uh we're going to put this into a bowl and we're going to pour our hot milk over it and just give that a good stir uh until everything's well combined and then we're just going to whisk it you can see the Steam on the side of the bowl there this is nice nice and hot uh and it's just going to melt all that chocolate and we're just going to mix that together with a nice uh give it a good nice whisk there until it is nice and smooth you can see it all melting together in there and you want to keep it moving you just want to make sure that everything's melting together and uh it'll become very very smooth at the end uh and again totally dairyfree this is coconut milk and uh once it's all been combined you might want to taste it uh we felt that it needed a little bit extra so we gave it just a tiny little dash of vanilla which you're going to see right here little dash of vanilla in there and stir that in vanilla can often make uh chocolate flavored things a little seem a little more chocolaty oddly enough and here we are using it this is the chocolate sauce and here's the caramel sauce and we're putting it on here's a little sneak preview of next week's video which is like I said a little silly but that's it that's the whole thing really really simple absolutely delicious these are um excellent and you know really really versatile we can be used on ice cream you can use them on whatever you'd normally use chocolate sauce or caramel sauce on and we hope you'll give it a try if you like this recipe please do like and subscribe and if you have any recipes you'd like to see Chef Caleb try on the Channel please let us know in the comments below we'd like to thank our patrons over
