Google Search on Nexus 7 Vs. Siri on iPhone 4S

The Nexus 7: A Comparison with the iPhone 4S and Other Devices

I must say that I'm loving my Nexus 7, more than I enjoy using my iPhone 4S. Unlike the iPhone 4S, which makes me wait for the words to appear on screen, the Nexus 7 shows me the words as they come up in real time, making it feel like a "speak and pray" kind of experience. While it's not perfect, I appreciate the ability to see my words appearing on screen.

I recently conducted a test to see how the Nexus 7 would perform with voice dictation. To my surprise, it was quite good! I installed an extra keyboard using swipe gestures, which required me to tap on certain phrases above the keyboard. While this may not be ideal, it's definitely a trade-off for the convenience of having a physical keyboard.

One feature that I'm excited about is the ability to launch apps using voice commands, which will be available in iOS 6 but not currently supported by the Nexus 7. However, I did try launching Instagram using voice commands, and it worked surprisingly well! The iPhone 4S, on the other hand, was unable to understand my voice commands.

In another test, I searched for information about who is taller, Bill Gates or Steve Jobs. To my surprise, the Nexus 7 was able to perform a Google search on its own, while the iPhone 4S required me to ask Siri to do so. The results were presented in a nice table view, with information such as birthdays, places of birth, and dates of death.

Overall, I'm impressed by the performance of the Nexus 7. While it may not be perfect, it's definitely faster than my iPhone 4S in certain regards, particularly when it comes to weather. The iPhone 4S, on the other hand, is more of a visual experience for me.

I also want to mention that I'm excited about the upcoming release of the new iPad third generation, which will have access to iOS 6. I'll definitely be doing another video comparing the Nexus 7 with the new iPad in terms of voice search and overall performance.

In conclusion, I've been enjoying using my Nexus 7 as a secondary tablet, and I don't see myself selling it anytime soon. While it may not be perfect, it's definitely a great device that has won me over. And who knows, maybe when the Nexus 8 comes out, I'll just use the money to upgrade to the next best thing!
