I'm here with David Berard at mWell Ield and David is one of the earliest app developers. He had a big hit early on with Gas Cubby when the App Store first launched. You know, you got to keep it coming right. Got to keep the hits coming. Yeah, I got to keep working so Gas Cubby did well for a while and we just keep working on new apps and um you know hoping people get excited about him right.
So David's got a new app today called Launch Center and it just uh is in the top 100 which is a big deal. Yeah, yeah just hit number uh last time I checked it was number uh 88 in the app store which is huge for us. It's been years since we've had one Crest in the top 100 so we're really excited. You make a couple of grand today or something like that probably maybe even a little more but you know tomorrow it may make five bucks so that's kind of the way the App Store rolls.
All right well let's do it then can you show it to us? Yeah sure so uh the app is called Launch Center and uh one of the one of the big use cases is I text my wife. You know probably 10 times a day so in order to text my wife I launched the messages app now I've been texting Justin a friend of mine well so now I got to go back to messages now I got to hit new and then I got to find her name right yeah so it takes so long so we launch CER and I've got it here in my dock um is I created a shortcut so now all I do is launch Launch Center and um and hit message my wife and there you go boom. And so it's it's super fast you can create uh launch apps and do all sorts of stuff and what's really cool is you can even schedule notifications.
So like uh let's say you visit the Drudge Report every morning uh you set it up Drudge Report The Drudge Report it back oh of course um and then you can schedule it so you can schedule it for uh you know tomorrow morning morning in the a.m. and then when you wake up in the morning there'll be a little notification in your lock screen and you just swipe that it takes you right to the site. So it's a really handy way to get shortcuts and schedule phone calls and things like that so you know if you set a calendar reminder then you still got to go launch the app and find the contact and do all that instead it's like I have a call at 5:00 with Bob well as soon as you swipe the notification you're calling Bob. So it's a really handy way to uh schedule shortcuts and and get around your iPhone cool.
All right yeah it looks really useful. It looks like a nice up we'll definitely have to check it out thanks a lot David at it okay I'm here with David Berard at mWell Ield and David is one of the earliest app developers he had a big hit early on with Gas Cubby when the App Store first launched um uh but uh you know you got to keep it coming right got to keep the hits coming yeah I got to keep working so gas cubby did well for a while and we just keep working on new apps and um you know hoping people get excited about him right.
