Meet the 93-year-old Woman Behind New Orleans' Best Fried Chicken _ Eat. Stay. Love.

**A Legacy of Service: Dick Chase's Restaurant**

To me, she has so much still that she wants to give it tonight. We have a set menu that includes shrimp, B an Italian salad, what we call a yarden porn, chicken, and fish seasoned rice. Put it over there, I get the red bell pepper, crushed red pepper, and some turmeric. Put it in there just put it right in. Pour pour come on all of it. All of it. I don't know where I was when they were passing out patients. I must have been behind the door somewhere because I don't have any.

The restaurant has a long history that dates back to 1945, and it's a place where memories are made. The staff at Dick Chase's Restaurant takes pride in serving traditional Creole cuisine with a passion for making every meal feel like home. They strive to provide an experience that goes beyond just food, but also includes warmth and hospitality. Whether you're a local or just visiting, the restaurant welcomes you with open arms and makes you feel like part of the family.

Stevie W, Ray Charles, Willie Mays, Jim Brown, Thurgood Marshall – these are just a few of the many famous faces that have walked through the doors of Dick Chase's Restaurant. The restaurant has hosted countless celebrities over the years, but it's not just about the A-list crowd; it's also a place where community comes together to share meals and make memories.

The food at Dick Chase's Restaurant is renowned for its rich flavors and aromas. The chef takes pride in using only the freshest ingredients to create dishes that are both familiar and exciting. The fried chicken, in particular, is a favorite among regulars, who rave about its crispy exterior and juicy interior. And then there's the gumbo – a staple of Creole cuisine that warms the heart and soul.

New Orleans is a city like no other, and Dick Chase's Restaurant embodies the spirit of this vibrant metropolis. The restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it's an institution of culture and love. One thing that sets Dick Chase's apart from other restaurants is its commitment to service. Whether you're a local or visiting, everyone is treated like royalty here. The staff knows every face, every story, and every preference. They take the time to get to know you and make sure your meal is nothing short of exceptional.

After Katrina, when the city was in trouble and everything was wet, Dick Chase's Restaurant became a beacon of hope and continuity. Two people worked tirelessly from a small trailer across the street, ensuring that the spirit of freedom would live on forever. This kind of commitment to service is what New Orleans is all about – love, community, and a willingness to come together in times of need.

In many ways, Dick Chase's Restaurant is like a big ol' plate of gumbo – it brings people together, warms hearts, and satisfies souls. When you sit down at the table, you're not just eating food; you're becoming part of something special. The restaurant may have changed over the years, but one thing remains constant: its commitment to service, love, and the spirit of New Orleans.

The chef's mother taught him how to cook from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients. He adds a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and voilà! You get the perfect dish. The fried chicken is his specialty, and he takes pride in making it with love. He says, "I just do what my mom taught me how to do. Season it up, let it sit for a couple hours, and then fry it." It's a recipe that's been passed down through generations, and one that has earned him accolades and rave reviews.

When you walk into Dick Chase's Restaurant, you're not just walking into a restaurant – you're entering a world of memories. The staff knows your name, your story, and your preferences. They take the time to get to know you, to understand what makes you tick. And when it comes to food, they serve up something special – a taste of home that warms the heart and soul.

New Orleans is a city that's all about community, love, and service. Dick Chase's Restaurant embodies these values, and one can't help but feel grateful for this little slice of heaven on earth. Whether you're a local or just visiting, the restaurant welcomes you with open arms and makes you feel like part of the family.

One day, I had to tell President Obama that I was going to take him to Dick Chase's Restaurant. I said, "Mr. President, we have to go here." He smiled and said, "Okay, let's do it!" And so, one day, we walked into this little restaurant, and it felt like a miracle. We ate gumbo, fried chicken, and all sorts of delicious things. It was like a taste explosion in our mouths!

The memories that Dick Chase's Restaurant creates are truly special. Whether you're laughing with friends, sharing stories over dinner, or just enjoying the warm hospitality, every meal feels like a celebration.
