Creating Memes with Photo Editor by Avery: A Step-by-Step Guide

Hey there, guys! Steve from Cult of Mac here, and today I'm going to show you how to make your own hilarious memes using the Photo Editor by Avery app on your iPad or iPhone. Now, before we get started, I want to warn you that we can't guarantee that our memes will be funny. But hey, that's all part of the fun, right? So, let's launch Avery on your iPad and choose Gallery from the splash screen.

If you'd rather take a photo to turn into a meme, you can do so by tapping on the camera button or selecting the gallery button from the familiar photo picker on your iPad. Either way, tap a photo you want to turn into a meme, and you'll get the Photo Editor screen across the bottom of your iPad. Now, this is where all your editing options are at your fingertips. You've got everything from enhance to effects, crop to adjust, and more.

All these editing standards are located to the far right of the toolbar, so if you need to swipe over there to find them. But don't worry, they're easy to find once you know where to look. Now, let's tap on the meme button at the top left corner of the screen. This will take us to our meme screen, where we can start creating our hilarious memes.

To get started, all you need to do is type in your meme text for both the top and bottom of the photo. Hopefully, you'll come up with something funnier than mine once you've typed out your masterpiece! Don't worry if it's not funny; that's what makes life interesting, right? Now, tap the apply button at the top right corner of the screen to make your meme appear.

If you want to have a bit more fun with your meme, now's the time to add some stickers and frames. Tap on the sticker or frame icons in the bottom toolbar, then tap on the free sticker and frame packs that come with Avery. There are a few more that you can purchase within the app, so feel free to get creative! Tap each one in turn to see how they look with your meme, then hit apply when you're ready.

Now that we've created our meme, it's time to share it with the world. Tap on the save button in the upper right corner of the screen, and then tap below to share your meme to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, email text messages, or more! When you're all finished, tap the dumb button (yes, that's what it says!) in the upper right corner of the screen to start your next funny meme.
