Galaxy Buds 2 Unboxing - Best earbuds under $150

**Unboxing and First Impressions of the Galaxy Buds 2**

The Galaxy Buds 2 arrived in their sleek, square box, which is accompanied by a smaller paper box containing the charging cable, two extra pairs of ear tips, and nothing else. The earbuds themselves are designed to be a hybrid between the Galaxy Buds Live and the Galaxy Buds Pro, with a sleek and lightweight design that weighs only 5 grams each. The pre-applied silicone ear tips fit comfortably and provide a tight seal, reducing the likelihood of them falling out during use.

**Design and Build**

The design of the Galaxy Buds 2 is definitely worth mentioning, as it seems to have taken inspiration from both its predecessors. The charging case is particularly handy and portable, with a battery indicator on the front and an additional LED indicator on the inside that notifies when the earbuds are charging. The USB-C port is located at the back of the case. The earbuds themselves feature a touch-enabled control mechanism, allowing users to play or pause music, skip tracks, or return to the previous one with a single double and triple tap, respectively.

**Sound Quality**

The sound quality of the Galaxy Buds 2 is where things get interesting. With a dual driver setup featuring a dedicated tweeter and woofer, these earbuds promise to deliver a superior audio experience. After listening to a few songs under the default equalizer settings, it's clear that the sound signature favors the highs, with a decent but not excessive bass response. While this may not be ideal for everyone, fans of more treble-heavy audio will likely find themselves enjoying these earbuds.

**Active Noise Cancellation and Ambient Sound Mode**

One feature that sets the Galaxy Buds 2 apart from its competitors is Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). With three levels of ambient sound mode to choose from, users can customize how much surrounding noise they want to let in. This feature is reminiscent of Apple's Transparency Mode on their EarPods Pro. While it may not be as effective as some other ANC systems on the market, it's still a welcome addition for those who value the ability to hear their surroundings.

**Battery Life and Charging**

The battery life of the Galaxy Buds 2 is another area worth mentioning. With a total playback time of five hours with ANC enabled and up to seven hours without, these earbuds should provide decent endurance for casual users. However, real-world usage may vary depending on how you use them. The charging case contains a 472mAh battery that can extend the overall playback time to 20 hours with ANC disabled.

**Full Review**

The Galaxy Buds 2 are an intriguing addition to Samsung's earbuds lineup, offering a unique blend of design, sound quality, and features at an attractive price point. While they may not blow everyone away with their performance, fans of the brand and those looking for a solid mid-range option will likely find themselves impressed by these earbuds. Stay tuned for our full review in a few weeks' time to see how the Galaxy Buds 2 hold up against other top contenders on the market.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys so samsung's unpacked event this year was quite a hit samsung launched two foldables um updated the watch lineup and also launched these the samsung galaxy bots too now when talking about wireless earbuds in general there are the high-end ones from companies like bose sony and apple and even samsung joined this club with last year's galaxy bots pro which offered excellent sound quality then there are the budget ones from brands like soundcore nothing and real me that are affordable and have garnered a lot of attention although their core sound quality still leaves much to be desired enter the galaxy buds 2 which basically tries to fill the gap between the two by offering a balance between price and quality kind of like luke skywalker bringing the balance to the force okay regardless samsung says that the bots 2 is the successor to the buds plus from 2020 and not the bird's life that came after it at 150 these earbuds are significantly more affordable than the galaxy bots pro which is the absolute best that samsung has to offer what's even more impressive is that their spec sheet is quite identical anyway let me unbox the buds too first as you can see it comes in this little square box um first there is the galaxy box to itself um keeping it aside for now we also have this mini paper box which has the charging cable and two extra pairs of ear tips and that's basically all there is inside the box okay let's have a look at the earbuds now and it kind of looks like a hybrid between the buds live and the bots pro which is to say that the design is really sleek these earbuds weigh 5 grams each so they're not very heavy either okay so let me put it on first all right so the pre-applied silicone ear tips fit me perfectly and deliver a tight fit as well uh so it is probably not going to fall off from your ears that easily but since the bots 2 is only ipx2 certified unlike the bots pro with an ipx7 rating i wouldn't recommend you wear it while exercising heavily because this inferior ip certification means that these earbuds are quite vulnerable even to excess humidity besides that i am quite fond of its design actually the charging case is really really handy and portable too uh there's a battery indicator upfront while you'll find an additional led indicator on the inside that notifies if the earbuds are charging at the back you have the usbc charging port moving on these earbuds enjoy the newer bluetooth 5.0 protocol as well as opposed to the bluetooth 5.0 on the galaxy bots pro and it pairs with your smartphone via the galaxy wearable app in regards to connectivity it retains the auto switch feature that was introduced with the buzz pro as well it's like multi-point connection but exclusive to samsung's galaxy ecosystem of devices under this the bots too can quickly switch between galaxy tablets smart watches and smartphones alright getting to controls like with other entries in the galaxy buzz umbrella these earbuds feature a touch enabled control mechanism as well you can play or pause music skip a track or return to the previous one with a single double and triple tap respectively there's even the support for touch and hold gesture for quickly switching between anc and ambient modes but if you would want to customize that samsung even lets you configure it for volume and voice assistant activation okay now let's talk about the most important thing on any earbuds the sound quality the galaxy buds 2 boasts a dual driver setup with a dedicated tweeter and woofer like the galaxy bots pro and the galaxy bots plus before it okay now let me try out a few songs and get back to you in a few minutes okay um fyi i listened to songs under the default equalizer settings and found its sound signature to be favoring the highs the base is there although it is not as thumpy as many would like um other than that the audio quality is quite reminiscent of the more expensive bots pro which is quite spectacular i must say but then again this is just my initial impression so i will reserve the final verdict for my full review which will be out in a week or two anyway as i mentioned earlier these are anc capable earbuds as well there's also something called ambient sound mode which is samsung's take on transparency mode found on apple's earpods pro basically what it does is it lets you hear the outside world without having to take off the earbuds even more impressively there are three levels of ambient sound mode to choose from meaning you get to customize just how much surrounding noise you want to let in lastly the galaxy box 2 features a triple mic setup and a voice pickup unit like the galaxy bots pro 2 although it does miss out on the windshield filter samsung even says that these earbuds deliver clearer calls through machine learning based algorithm but i will be the judge of that on a full review okay what did i miss yeah the battery uh well these earbuds pack a 61 milliamp hour cell each and boast a total playback time of five hours with anc on and up to 7.5 hours with anc turned off plus the 472 milliamp battery on this case takes those numbers to 20 and 29 hours respectively mind you that this is just the official claim and bots 2's real life endurance will certainly vary depending on how you use it i will definitely test these earbuds more and check if samsung's game holds up at all and that brings us to the end of this video in my limited time with the galaxy bots 2 i am quite impressed with its lightweight design and comfortable fit the sound quality from my initial impression seems to be on par with the more expensive galaxy bots pro however we will be coming up with a detailed comparison between these two earbuds quite soon so stay tuned for more also please do subscribe to the channel and hit the notifications icon to never miss an update thank you so much for watchinghey guys so
