Unboxing the Vivo Next Phone: A Closer Look at Vivo's Latest Offering
As we look at the box, it's mostly in Chinese, and I don't really know what's inside. However, on the front, as you can see on the right of vivo, it says "Vivo" with a FIFA World Cup symbol. This is cool because Vivo is actually the official smartphone sponsor for the FIFA World Cup this year. The excitement around Vivo's latest phone, the Vivo Next, has been building up since its concept design was announced in February. With some really cool features, I'm excited to unbox this for you guys.
The first thing we notice when unboxing the Vivo Next is that it comes with a compact box. Right off the bat, I'm going to unpackage it for you guys. It's got that dual camera on the back, which catches my attention. I'm going to turn it on so you guys can see this display and get a closer look at its features. The Vivo Next has a bezel-less design, with a small chin up at the bottom. Other than that, there are no bezels, thanks to the use of an OLED display. However, this also means that there's no space for a front camera or a speaker on the screen.
As we can see, the phone has a six-point-five-nine-inch OLED display, which is impressive. The bezel-less design might seem like a drawback at first, but it actually allows for a more immersive viewing experience. Unfortunately, this also means that there's no button for the fingerprint sensor, as it's built into the screen instead. This is where things get really interesting, and we'll show you how to set up the fingerprint sensor later on.
After setting up the fingerprint sensor, we can now see the phone's interface in action. All the applications on the phone are actually in Chinese, but thankfully, the settings menu is available in English. We need this for typing in our password and adding a fingerprint. Since it's an in-screen fingerprint sensor, we simply press our finger up to the screen to set it up. And voila! The setup process is complete.
Now that the fingerprint scanner is set up, let's take a closer look at the phone's camera features. On the back, there's a dual camera setup with a 5-megapixel and 12-megapixel camera. This is actually the black color we have today, which looks quite sleek. However, I must say that I would personally prefer the red version, which has a holographic-like effect when put up against light. The selfie camera, on the other hand, isn't in the screen but pops out from the top right. It's an 8-megapixel camera that supports portrait mode, allowing for high-quality selfies.
As we continue to unbox the Vivo Next, we find a little pull-out flip with some additional accessories. This is pretty nice, as it covers up the holographic-like backing of the phone. We also find some Vivo headphones, which are quite nice and can be plugged into the headphone jack at the top of the phone.
Another feature that sets the Vivo Next apart is its USB power adapter, which comes separate from the USB cable for charging. This is always a nice touch, as it allows us to keep our cables organized. Additionally, we find a SIM card tool, which is handy for popping out your SIM card if needed.
Finally, the Vivo Next supports dual SIM cards, allowing you to use two different numbers or accounts simultaneously. This is especially useful when traveling abroad or needing multiple phone lines at home. So, while we can't get our hands on the Vivo Next just yet, it's clear that this phone is packed with features and design elements that are sure to impress.
As I continue to set up the phone and explore its features, I'll be sure to share my thoughts and impressions in a full review soon. For now, let's just say that the Vivo Next has some exciting things in store for fans of Vivo and those looking for a new smartphone experience.
