DO I HAVE THAT OTHER BOOK CHALLENGE

The Book Challenge: A Look at My Bookshelf

As I sit here with my books stacked haphazardly in front of me, I'm excited to embark on a book challenge that's been on my mind for a while now. The rules are simple: answer a series of questions about the books on my shelf and see how many I can complete.

Do you have a favorite book? For me, it's a tie between "Beartown" by Fredrik Backman and "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". I've read both of these books multiple times and they never fail to put a smile on my face. But if I'm being completely honest, I do have a soft spot for all the Harry Potter books that line my shelves. They're battered and worn from years of reading and re-reading, but they'll always hold a special place in my heart.

Do you have a book with a moon on the cover? Yes, I do! "Winter Wood" by Shay Earnshaw features a stunning illustration of a crescent moon on its cover, and it's one of my favorite book covers of all time. The way the moon is depicted, surrounded by lush greenery and vines, is just breathtaking.

Do you have a sci-fi fantasy with an alliance between races? "Ember in the Ashes" by Sabaa Tahir features a complex world where different factions live together in a fragile peace, and it's one of my favorite books in this genre. The way the author weaves together politics, magic, and romance is just masterful.

Do you have a collection of fairy tales or myths? I do! "Thorns" by Joe Abercrombie features a unique blend of mythology and fantasy that really drew me in. And of course, who could forget "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", which is essentially a modern retelling of classic fairy tale?

What about books with narrow front covers? Those are historical romance novels to you, I suppose! But honestly, I'm not sure if I've ever actually owned one. I do have a lot of paperback books that are slightly trimmed shorter and narrower than the rest of the book, but they're mostly just random paperbacks that I picked up at thrift stores or book sales.

Do you have a book with a broken spine? Oh yes! My old Harry Potter books are all battered and worn from years of reading and re-reading. The spines are cracked and taped together with pieces of cardboard, but the books themselves are still full of magic and wonder.

And finally, do you have a book that covers three or more of the prompts above? Well, I don't know if I'm qualified to answer that question! But I do have a lot of fun coming up with creative answers to these challenges. Maybe one day I'll be able to say I've read all 10 books on this list...

Turn the page: A Look at First Chapter of Sequels

As I flipped through my bookshelf, I stumbled upon a fascinating question: what if I could only choose books that include the first chapter of the sequel? It's a clever twist on traditional book recommendations, and one that got me thinking about how many sequels are out there waiting to be read.

For me, it all started with "Ember in the Ashes". When I picked up the paperback edition of the second book in the series, I was excited to dive back into the world of Laia and Elias. But as I flipped through the pages, I noticed something interesting: the first chapter of the sequel was included on the inside cover! It was a clever marketing move, and one that made me appreciate the way the publisher had designed the book.

I started searching for more books with this same feature, and before long, I'd found several titles that fit the bill. "The Unraveled" by Elizabeth Sloane is another example of a sequel's first chapter being included on the cover, along with "Every Little Thing About You by Celeste Ing.

But why would publishers include the first chapter of a sequel in the paperback edition? Is it to entice readers to buy the book, or to give fans a sneak peek into what's to come? Whatever the reason, I'm happy to report that this feature has become one of my favorite things about paperback books.

The Fourth and Final Book: A Look Ahead

As I delved deeper into my bookshelf, I stumbled upon an exciting development: the fourth and final book in a popular series was on its way! For fans of "Ember in the Ashes", this news meant that Laia and Elias would soon be reunited for their epic conclusion.

I have to admit, I'm a bit nervous about reading the final installment. Will it live up to the hype? Can I say goodbye to these beloved characters without feeling too invested? But one thing is certain: when the book arrives, I'll be diving in with gusto.

For now, though, I'll just have to content myself with speculating about what might happen next. Who will survive the final battle? What secrets will be revealed? The suspense is building, and I can barely wait to find out!

The Book Challenge Continues...

And so, my book challenge comes full circle. From favorite books to narrow front covers, from sci-fi fantasies to fairy tales, each one has led me down a fascinating journey through the world of literature. It's been an absolute blast, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share it all with you.

But don't worry – I won't be stopping here! In fact, I have plenty more books lined up for future challenges. Stay tuned, folks, and get ready to join me on this wild ride through the world of literature!

The Final Answer: 5/10

And that's a wrap, folks! With a little over half of my bookshelf checked off, I'm feeling pretty proud of myself. Of course, it wasn't easy – there were plenty of times when I had to dig deep and think creatively about the questions. But in the end, it was all worth it.

So what's next? Will I be able to complete the full 10 books on my list? Only time will tell!

that signed in person by nicola yoon when you're y'all fast so that's really cool a book with a mostly red cover yes i do i have lots of books with mostly red covers on them i think she says that she can't find a single one and this drop of a hat oh i mean would you count this as like mostly red it's kind of like oranges red i would count that right no here i have a better one that's even that's just really straight up red vicious by v schwab it's pretty much red do you have a book between 287 and 306 pages what oh my gosh let's just go the books i have right in front of me 286 286. you have freaking page numbers on you how am i supposed to know 307 i think so it's going to be small a smallish book no not that one okay let me find a smallish book i do have smallish books right what was it 287 oh i think i don't have a winner no this is going to be too short this one 287 is this real life this is where i'll be at for the next year folks right here looking for this either get ones that are too small or too large two come on agatha no um this one looks pretty small though just be a nice 300 pages for me aha yes this book is exactly 289 pages what was the threshold 287 thank you evie drake starts over which is coincidentally a book that i love check it out the book was a main character who wears glasses yeah yes yes oh you know like you think yes right you're like yeah i've read harry potter there you go but then you can't think of like one right off the bat i want to say well met by jen deluca simon wears glasses in that book cast from maybe fan grover's glasses who else who else honestly i'm not trying super super hard do you have a book with a title that has the same number of letters as your first name oh gosh heather h-e-a-t-h-e-r seven letters let's look that up oh this is gonna be fun one two three four five six seven eight i'm i'm gonna this one it might be just a straight up no one two three four five six seven eight nine now i need a seven people seven seven seven six seven one two three four five six no one two three four five six seven yes obsidio by amy kaufman one two three four five six seven yes i was not sure i would find one of a book with cyber crime slash technology as a plot point oh my gosh i swear i'm not planning this i mean this whole series is got a lot to do with technology because it's about like an ai system that kind of just decides to whatever it wants takes place in space and yeah that one i guess you could say cyber crime i can't think of another one that's like really cyber crime a book written in another language or translated to english yes i have lots actually so take any frederick bachmann book he originally writes in swedish because he's a swedish author and they're translated from swedish so the one i'm going to recommend that i always say is my favorite oh my gosh is right here it is beartown i love it i'm obsessed with it i have a whole video in frederick bachmann but those are the ones that i can think of that i know for sure are translated do you have a book written by an asian author yes i do i have lots um here it is girl gone viral put in my alicia rye also the unraveling of cassie holmes by elizabeth sloane um celesting every little first ever by celeste ing and those are just a few that are right here on my shelf that i can see is there any other ones right here do you have a book with a moon on the cover yes i do winter wood by shay earnshaw there you go you got two moons you have four moons five moons it's got a lot of moons crescent moons didn't say what type of moon it had to be do you have a illustrated children's book do i that um children's book children's book yes i do i have alice's adventures in wonderland it's illustrated right yeah it's got illustrations in it yet to read it moving on do you have a collection of fairy tales or myths fairy tales i mean i don't i mean could this be like thorns it's like a book of midnight tales and dangerous magic but i don't know if it's like fairy tales or miss so and i have alice in wonderland and i know that's all i got so those two i don't know do you have a sci-fi fantasy with an alliance between races yeah i think probably an ember in the ashes maybe we have different classes of people different races as well um and i really like oh my gosh the fourth and final book of the series is coming out in a in a two months i'm so excited but oh so nervous about it do you have a book with a narrow front cover what does that mean paperback with the front cover that is slightly trimmed shorter narrower than the rest of the book oh okay i get what you think so it's like almost like a a step back which they call those historical romance books i don't know if i do honestly i'm trying to think about it i don't know if i've ever actually had one to think of it now so no i don't think i have that like you know how you can look at your books and just know i'm looking at them and i just no not unless i'm just so blatantly stupid which could be a big option do you have a book that includes the first chapter of the sequel oh that's a good question hmm do i have a book for the first chapter of the sequel i think i do crave i remember reading this somewhat recently and it had no maybe not that one let's see so ember in the ashes so i was just looking and it says turn the page for a preview of the assumption sequel and the reason why it took me so long to find one is because usually when i get a hardback book it's the first book in the series that doesn't make any sense but when it gets to be published in paperback that's oftentimes where you're gonna find turn to see the page of a sequel because by that time sometimes the paper copy doesn't come out so after the sequels come out or something like that so i'm guessing that's why either way i found it so i'm happy and the last question is do you have a book with a broken spine do i ever so i've said a lot i have all my old harry potter books and they're beat up as you can see i've taped it so the spine is broken as let me see if i can tell if you can tell there it is you can clearly tell the spine is like dunzo so you know usually a book's supposed to be stayed to this but this one's not so this is probably like actually one of my better ones too like i can legit see the cardboard that's keeping the whole book together i'll never get rid of it though bonus question do you have a book that covers three or more of the prompts above i'm not going to answer that because that's too much work and i'm lazy so yeah that was the do you have the other that other book challenge which is actually really fun to do what's never fun about these challenges videos is the mass quantities of books i have in front of me that i have to clean up which i'm not looking forward to one single bit so i'm gonna go do that thank you for watching i'm sure you're answering questions below about which ones i did not pick and that i should have picked and keep on doing thanks for watching bye youhello everyone today i am here to do a challenge video today i'm doing the do you have that other book challenge because a while ago i think all of a lot
