T-Mobile G2x Hands-on

Welcome to the LG Booth! Today, we're going to take a closer look at one of our superphones, the T-Mobile G2x made by LG. I'm joined by Chad Smith, and he's going to take you through a food rundown of this amazing device.

First, let me just welcome you all to the LG Booth. We've got an incredible device on display here, and we're excited to share all its features with you. The T-Mobile G2x is powered by our very own Tegra 2 processor, which is also found in the G Slate that we recently reviewed. This processor is a game-changer, folks, as it's capable of delivering performance that's 2.5 times faster than a single-core processor.

So, what does this mean for you? Well, with the Tegra 2 processor, you can expect to enjoy console-level gaming on your Android device. That's right, we're talking about high-definition graphics and smooth gameplay that'll keep you entertained for hours on end. And it all starts with our GeForce graphics card, which is a high-end solution that delivers top-notch performance.

But that's not all - we also have an exciting application available that allows you to download high-def, high-end console-level gaming experiences right onto your device. This app is free and can be found on the Google marketplace, so you can start playing without breaking the bank. And the best part? It only works on devices with a Tegra 2 processor, so you know it's going to deliver top-notch performance.

Now, let's take a look at some of the other features that make the T-Mobile G2x an absolute standout. On the back of this device, we have an 8-megapixel camera, which is perfect for snapping high-quality photos and videos. And with LED flash, you can capture images in even the dimmest lighting conditions. Plus, the front-facing camera is a 1.3-megapixel sensor that's great for video chats and self-portraits.

But what really sets this device apart is its operating system - we're using a very standard version of Android, which will be fully upgradable to Gingerbread or 2.2/2.3 shortly after launch. This means you can expect a seamless and smooth user experience right out of the box. And with our video player, you'll get full HD output, which is perfect for streaming your favorite shows or movies onto your device.

Now, I know some of you might be wondering about latency - how does this device handle fast-paced action games and whatnot? Well, let me tell you - we've got some exciting news. Our Tegra 2 processor includes a number of features that help minimize latency, including support for HSPA and 4G connectivity. This means you can expect smooth gameplay even in the most demanding situations.

In fact, I'd like to demonstrate just how well this device handles latency. (takes finger to move bar down) See how smoothly that transitions? That's because our Tegra 2 processor is capable of handling fast-paced action with ease. And it's not just that - we've also got DTS digital theater surround sound built right into the device, which will transport you to a whole new world of immersive audio.

Now, I know some of you might be wondering about compatibility - can this device play games from other developers? The answer is yes! We've partnered with a number of game developers to bring console-level gaming experiences to Android. And with our GeForce graphics card, you can expect top-notch performance that'll keep you entertained for hours on end.

One of the most exciting applications we're working on is called "Tegra Zone." It's an app developed by NVIDIA that allows users to download and play a wide range of console-level games right onto their device. And the best part? The Tegra Zone app is free and available now, so you can start playing without breaking the bank.

But what really sets Tegra Zone apart is its ability to work with devices that have a Tegra 2 processor - which means you'll need this device to take full advantage of the app's features. And trust me, folks, it's worth it. With Tegra Zone, you'll get access to all sorts of console-level games and experiences that'll keep you entertained for hours on end.

And finally, let's talk about connectivity - what kind of networks can this device connect to? Well, we've got HSPA and 4G capabilities built right into the device, which means you can expect fast speeds and reliable connections wherever you go. And with our 3G technologies, you'll never be out of range.

That's all for today, folks - I hope you enjoyed this food rundown of the T-Mobile G2x made by LG. With its powerful Tegra 2 processor, stunning camera, and impressive gaming capabilities, this device is a must-have for anyone looking to take their Android experience to the next level.

graphics card since it is made by Nvidia it's a very very highend graphics card and what that's going to do is give you console level gating up to 60 frames a second there's actually an application that you can download right now um that's called a tgra Zone and what tone is an application that's free on the Google marketplace so you can download high def high-end console level gaming the great thing about that is only will run on a dual core Nvidia processor so what you're going to get is high graphic games on that okay another cool thing to point about about the device is on the back here you notice we've got an 8 megapixel camera so you're going to get high quality pictures on the device and it also has an LED flash um on the front over here we have a 1.3 front facing camera and that's for all your video chats is that an HD yes that is an HD cool another cool thing you notice on here we're using a very Standard Version um of Android on here and the reason we did that is this will be fully upgradable to gingerbread or 2.2 2.3 um very very shortly after launch um so we want to make sure that was very seamless and very smooth um another really cool thing on here we're going to go back over here into a video player um is this actually features um full 1080p um output for video so going to give you high definition output um it actually has an HDMI port um that's on the side so when you connect to your TV what you see on the device is what you're going to see on the TV so it's actually very very cool another cool thing to kind of demonstrate is I wanted to show you the kind of latency or the delay Factor that's actually built into the handset and this actually demonstrates a couple different things 1080p as well as integr to processor just going to take my finger here and I move that bar down I want you to see that there's zero latency it automatically is going to be your fast forward and go directly into that so there is no buffer or no latency delay on that um on the bottom down here I want you to see this it says DTS has digital theater surround sound so it's actually theater surround sound it's going to be simulated on the device there's actually two speakers on the side over here and then one on the top however using uh via HDMI when you connect up your TV if you have surround sound actually that will transfer surround sound right under your television so that's kind of the basic run through on the uh device itself did you explain tyer zone for me absolutely what tyer zone is is an application that was put out by Nidia and what it does is encompasses multiple different game developers um such as Game Loft uh such as EA Sports and what they're able to do is take their console level games and put them on the device that actually can run them um one thing to point to keep in mind is even though that you can try to down list on other devices it's only going to work on something that's running a t or two dual C processor because those have the capabilities to run the high Lev gaming the high graphics gaming so what you're getting basically is console level games on your handset okay sleet um another thing to point out is this is with T-Mobile so it will be HSPA or 4G it will be capable of 14.4 megabits per second on your download and 5.7 megabits per second on your upload as well as corresponding 3G Technologies as well very coolhey guys what is up it is Keen here with texart and today we are going to be looking at the T-Mobile G2x made by LG and I'm here with Chad Smith and he's going to take a
