a Finger Mouse um what.
The Retro Finger Mouse: A Blast from the Past
What's up guys? Keaton here, and I'm excited to share with you something pretty retro-y, but also pretty strange - a finger mouse! As I was browsing on Amazon for a new mouse, I wanted something kinda different, and that's exactly what I found. I stumbled upon this quirky little device, and I just had to show it off.
The packaging of the finger mouse is quite an eyesore, with outdated icons from Windows Vista, Windows XP, and the old Macintosh logo. It looks like someone sent out a memo saying, "Hey, we're 2016 now!" The box itself is covered in Lord of the Rings graphics, which seems to be some sort of marketing gimmick. I have to admit, it's a bit confusing, but that's all part of the charm.
Opening up the finger mouse, we find a booklet with instructions on how to use it. It tells us that the left click corresponds to the left key and the right click to the right key. Sounds simple enough, right? The system requirements are listed as Windows 98, which is laughable considering the current operating systems we have today.
The features of this finger mouse include a symmetrical design that fits both right and left hand users. It's described as a "real hardware solution," which I'm not entirely sure what that means. Despite its retro vibe, the device is surprisingly cheap, so I guess you can't complain too much about its price.
Now it's time to put this finger mouse on my finger. The packaging comes with some Velcro, which might come in handy. As I attach it to my right index finger, I notice that there's an LED light underneath, which seems like a nice touch. The scroll wheel is located on the side of the device, and I have to admit, it looks like something out of a sci-fi movie.
The finger mouse actually works quite well! When I plug it into my MacBook Air and type in some text, it responds with ease. However, it does require a bit of finagling to get it working properly. The optical sensor is located on the surface, which is cool because it's a throwback to old-school mice.
To test the finger mouse's capabilities, I try using it on different surfaces - a CD cover and even an album cover! To my surprise, it works flawlessly on both of them. It's almost like having a magic wand in your hand. When I'm done testing it out, I realize that this finger mouse is one of the best things I've ever bought.
In conclusion, this finger mouse might seem like something from another era, but it actually works quite well! If you're looking for a fun and quirky way to experience retro gaming or just want to have some laughs with your friends, look no further. This device is sure to bring back memories of old-school computing and leave you wondering why we ever went back to using mice in the first place.
