handcrafted it comes along with these little cards here that tell you they're based in Portland Oregon and they're a small team that create iPhone bamboo cases they make other wood as well this is maple actually and they're a really great company and they give you a little bit of details as far as what's covered under warranty and whatnot you can see this is from grade.com I'll leave a link in the description below and then it just shows you how to put the case on and it comes with a little sticker so for $99 you go on their website and you pick the case and the logo that you want to put on the back this could be a scene or a picture it could be anything you want and they'll print it on the back and then they'll ship it out to you the case itself is a logo that we chose to use it's actually from a local youth group that I help out with I'll leave a link to them in the description below so you can see this is a Maplewood and we have a cutout for the camera and we'll take a look at that it's for the iPhone 5 and 5s slide this out here and you can see they have a protective material inside it's a little bit padded so that's really nice and then what we have here is a solid surface material with solid maple on top of it so you have this dual core structure you also have cutouts on the bottom for your headphone jack lightning connector speaker and microphone so let's take the iPhone 5 this is actually my wife's phone we'll slide it in here and it is a snug fit so if you have a skin on your phone or anything like that you'll want to remove that so you can see it fits in snugly it doesn't fall out just like this but once you clip this onto the bottom it's even more secure you can see it's on here quite nicely it doesn't come apart easily some people have asked me about that with some of their cases in the past it takes a lot of force to get that off so no problem there we have a nice cutout for the camera and Flash and in my experience in the past the flash is no problem here you've got plenty of room so it doesn't interfere with the quality of your images on the side we have a cutout for the volume button up down and then our vibrate switch and you can get to that pretty easily and then if we go to the bottom you can see all of the different connectors on the bottom and I actually brought my Bose headphones just to show you that they will fit so it fits like that if you have a larger end you may need to get a different adapter and then you have room for a lightning cable as well so there's no problem there whatsoever on the top this is probably my favorite part of the case you have this nice wood button and it retains the solid click of the iPhone's button on top so it's really nice to use on the front we have this black surround now you can order this in black or white depending on which phone you have and what you want it to match and then this is just a custom button and I actually have a screen protector on here so it fits fine with a glass screen protector you can see it looks great the logo looks good and the wood is nice and soft and sanded now if you don't like the feeling of sanded wood you'll probably won't like this case but otherwise there's not really any complaints with it it looks great they've done a great job and it is an expensive case but it is handmade in America and custom made as well so definitely a nice case
