Everyone Was Wrong about Pewdiepie!

The YouTube Controversy: A Threat to Small Creators?

I'm still trying to understand why people are so upset about PewDiePie's latest move. He threatened to delete his channel, which would have done nothing to help small creators like myself who are struggling to make ends meet on the platform. In fact, I think he actually ended up doing more harm than good by making a joke of it instead of taking real action.

I completely scratched my head when I heard about his threat, and I had to scratch mine too because ignoring all the stuff that most people are thinking about YouTube's changes is probably wrong. I mentioned this in a video that I'll actually be showing in the future but this is in the past for me. Anyway, I'm going to link up a game theory video that just went live about the YouTube changes.

If PewDiePie deleted his channel, it would have done nothing to help small creators like myself. It's not like deleting his channel would magically solve our problems or make us rich overnight. In fact, he would probably just bring it back a week later and still make basically the same video. He would have lost his platform, which is currently the biggest platform on YouTube with the biggest megaphone to talk to everyone about issues.

YouTube's Changes: What's Really Going On?

People think that PewDiePie deleting his channel was the whole point of what he was trying to do. But no one understands that the threat itself was the real goal. He wanted to get YouTube's attention and be like, "Yo, shit's going down. Talk to us." He didn't care about being heard or getting answers; he just wanted to make a statement.

What people don't understand is that PewDiePie isn't the biggest money maker for the platform. The big network channels that are on this trending page are the ones giving YouTube a ton of money. Those are the people who should be getting attention, not the indie creators like myself.

A False Sense of Hope

Some people think that PewDiePie deleting his channel would have been a great way to get rid of him and make the platform better for small creators. But that's not how it works. What would happen is that he would just start another channel and grow it instantly, and still be doing fine. YouTube would still be fine on the whole.

Deleting his channel would actually have been counterproductive because what would have happened was he would have gotten rid of the platform he had to make change or inspire change or talk to YouTube about issues. And that's exactly what he did - he used his platform to bring attention to the issues that matter, not just for himself but for all creators.

The Real Issue

So, why are people so mad? They're mad because they think PewDiePie deleted his channel and got away with it. But that's not true. He didn't delete his channel, and he's still using it to talk about the issues that matter. What they should be focusing on is the real issue - the fact that YouTube's changes are affecting creators like myself who have been dealing with these problems for years.

It's frustrating because people only pay attention when it's entertaining to watch or when their problems are resolved. They move on and no longer talk about it. But we need to keep talking about this, even if it's not as exciting as a PewDiePie controversy. We need to make sure that our voices are heard and that the issues we're facing are addressed.

Conclusion

In conclusion, PewDiePie deleting his channel would have done nothing to help small creators like myself. The real issue is the fact that YouTube's changes are affecting creators who have been dealing with these problems for years. We need to keep talking about this and make sure our voices are heard. It's time to take a closer look at what's really happening and how we can make change.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: ena kind of sick OS Vox here this weekend just kind of looking back at a hilarious moment in that everyone seems to have gotten trolled by PewDiePie saying that he was going to delete his Channel at 50 million subscribers which he hit and then didn't delete his channel and somehow people are mad about this as if they actually expected it to happen like I I'm cool with the news sites getting trolled by it of course all these click bity news sites anytime a YouTuber does something they put out some completely irrelevant nonsensical article about it and the average citizens of the world that don't suck YouTube are just kind of like the hell are they talking about and the rest of us who actually take our time on YouTube are just kind of like well they're dumb but I can't imag I find it hard to believe that anyone truly believed that he was going to delete his channel but I've seen people freaking out people who were freaking out about him deleting his channel even boogie 2988 said that his heart sank once he saw that pewy actually hit 50 million subscribers cuz he really thought he was going to delete his channel and he was worried about that there were people in the some of the Facebook groups I was in saying that they were mad that he didn't do it that he doesn't take things seriously and when he was supposed to be fighting for creators he just made a joke of it instead to which I completely scratched my head like ignoring all the stuff that what most people are thinking about YouTube's changes are probably wrong and I mentioned this in never the point of course he wasn't going to delete his channel that that wasn't the point the point was to threaten to delete his channel and freak YouTube out of a little bit maybe affect the stocks maybe just Freak Out YouTube in general and like 2 days later they put out a survey in the YouTube dashboard for creators to give their opinions nothing will probably ever come of that survey someone may not even read that survey and that certainly wasn't the kind of communication we were going for but that was the point was PewDiePie wanted to get YouTube's attention and be like yo shit's going down talk to us what's going on communicate with us or I'm done and that threat kind of send chills up people findes when they're when he's the biggest a in independent Creator channel on the platform what people don't understand is he's probably not the biggest Money Maker for the platform the big money maker for YouTube are the advertisers the big network channels that are on this trending page that h3h3 freaked out about those are the people giving YouTube a ton of money Pewdiepie makes a lot of money but it's probably not as much in term in the context of YouTube's overall income as people like to think it was the threat of it the threat of action leads to change compl completing the action would have done nothing if he deleted his channel he would probably would have just brought it back a week later and still made basically the same video but if he deleted his channel so what he he still has millions of dollars that he seems to have barely have spent so he's good on that front he would have started another Channel and grown it instantly and still be doing fine YouTube would still be fine on the whole like what would have happened nothing there was no consequence to him really deleting his channel it would have been counterproductive actually because what would happened was he would have gotten rid of his platform currently he has the biggest platform on YouTube with a the biggest ass megaphone to talk to everyone about issues to get YouTube's attention about issues by deleting his channel that platform is gone he would have gotten rid of the very platform he had to make change or Inspire change or talk to YouTube or anyone what what world would you want him to delete that if he's fighting for issues where the does that make sense and people were so mad they were like I can't believe he Del delete he didn't delete his channel just trolling us is BL no he's keeping the conversation going that that was the whole point it was a show of power it was I hit 50 lot of it's pretty frustrating a lot of the issues have affected myself for multiple multiple years so I'm just frustrated that people only pay attention to it when it's entertaining to the big channels to talk about and when either their problems are resolved or they just get bored of it or they stop getting views for complaining about it they move on and no longer talk about it when it's been affecting me since like 2013 it's still just it's not PewDiePie deleting his channel would have done nothing it's one of those issues where there is issue there are issues worth talking about and no one's paying attention to them because they were distracted by the idea of PewDiePie deleting his channel when that was never meant to be the focus they they they missed the point and when everyone
