kindle unlimited reading wrap up (october)

**Book Review: A Month of Reads**

This month, I read a variety of books across different genres and series. One book that caught my attention was "Barbarian Alien" by Ruby Dex M. I really enjoyed the world-building and the unique characters in this series. The author's effort to create a rich history and culture for the people on the planet was impressive. However, I did not enjoy the sequel as much as the first book. The plot was lacking, and the romance between the two main characters fell flat.

I was particularly disappointed with the second book in the series, which lacked the world-building and additional knowledge that made the first book so enjoyable. The protagonist was also portrayed as a "big dumb oaf" and the heroine was depicted as whiny and annoying. This didn't make for a sexy romance, and I found it difficult to get invested in their relationship. Overall, I don't think I'll be continuing with this series.

On a positive note, I did enjoy the first book in the series, which opened my mind to new possibilities and got me excited about trying different things. The author has a unique writing style that I appreciate, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to save the sequel from being disappointing.

Moving on to my next read, "Born Darkly" by Tricia Wolfe. This book was part of a monthly book club pick, and I was intrigued by its premise about a serial killer and a psychiatrist forming a psychological bond. While it wasn't a traditional romance, there was definitely a romantic connection between the two main characters. I appreciated how the author handled the complex themes and topics in this novel. The ending left me on a cliffhanger, and I'm eager to find out what happens next.

Another book that caught my attention is "Caged" by JME. This book has a similar premise to "Born Darkly", but I was hesitant to read it due to mixed reviews of the first book in the series. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how well this author handled the tropes and made them feel intelligent and realistic. The psychology aspect of the novel was well-researched, and I appreciated the complexity of the story.

Overall, my month of reads has been a mix of enjoyable and disappointing books. While some authors have done a great job with world-building and character development, others have fallen short. I appreciate the opportunity to share my thoughts on these books and hope that you guys will find something that interests you in this article. **Author Recommendation**

I've recently been reading through various series and authors on Kindle Unlimited. While I enjoy recommending books to my audience, I also like to highlight some of the less obvious picks that I think are worth checking out. Ruby Dex M is one author who has caught my attention with her unique take on science fiction and romance.

If you're looking for something similar to "Barbarian Alien", but not exactly what it was, I'd recommend checking out JME's series. Her writing style is engaging, and she tackles complex themes with ease. Another author worth exploring is Tricia Wolfe, who has done an excellent job of handling dark and mature topics in her novels.

I'll continue to share my thoughts on Kindle Unlimited books and recommendations with you guys through various articles and videos. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to hearing from you in the comments below!
