**Getting Started with Feature Points**

Those free apps you get points and with those points you can redeem them for a ton of different things from Pokémon go coins to gift cards even to PayPal cash so if Pokémon's not your thing there's still things that you can actually get with the points that you've earned but what I really liked about feature points is that you not only get points for the things that you download but also for referring other people and the things that they download as well so it's a win-win situation for you and your friends.

**Downloading Apps**

So what we have here on this first tab are different apps that I could go ahead and download so let's say I wanted to get this one so how this works is that you have your apps over here and then on the other side you have the points that you would get if you downloaded that app and beneath that number you have the points that you would get for a friend downloading that same application. If I wanted to get this one for example I would just tap on it and then it gives me directions in terms of what I need to do so I need to download the app and it's advised that I stay in the application for 2 minutes which I have found to be true you do want to stay in the app for 2 minutes and follow everything through as this says here. So I'm going to go ahead and hit download app and then it's going to redirect me to the App Store so that I can go ahead and download it now if at all possible you don't want to exit this process you want to follow it all the way through and head straight to the App Store as it's taking you there and then from there head straight to the app and not exit the app.

**Installing Apps**

In this case I'm going to just tap on the word get and I'm going to go ahead and let it download and install so the entire time that it was downloading I did not exit the App Store so from here I'm going just select open and I'm going just let it sit on this app for about 2 minutes sometimes I interact with it just to ensure that it goes through so you can do that as well but I don't think it's necessary all the time. So now 2 minutes have gone by so I can go ahead and hit my home button and jump right back into feature points and you'll notice that the number of coins that I now have up here in the top right have changed.

**Tracking Points**

Now if you're curious about the status of the thing that you downloaded and you want to make sure sure that your points are being credited to you if it's pending for whatever reason it should be shown down here that it's pending and in my case there's nothing there. You also have other ways down here that you can go about getting some points to redeem so if I head on over here to rewards you'll see up here at the top one of the things I can redeem my points for are some Pokémon coins but like I said if Pokémon's not your thing you can also get an iTunes gift card an Amazon gift card which is my favorite a PayPal gift card Play Store gift card Xbox Starbucks PlayStation and the list goes on as you can see here.

So so many different things that you can actually redeem your points for and I think it's a little bit easier to actually get points because you're using that referral system so it pretty much credits you for the things you download as well as the things that other people download.
