YA THRILLERS!!

**The Thrill of White Photos: A List of Book Recommendations**

I want to share with you some book recommendations that I've come across recently, and I think they're definitely going to be thrilling. As someone who's fascinated by true crime stories, especially those involving serial killers like Jack the Ripper, I'm always on the lookout for books that capture the essence of mystery and suspense.

**Genuine Fraud by E Lockhart**

One book that caught my eye is "Genuine Fraud" by E Lockhart. I've heard great things about this author's writing style, which is described as gripping and not too lengthy. This particular book is a bit longer than some of her other works, but at only 260 pages, it's still a relatively short read. I'm intrigued by the premise of the story, which involves two girls who are essentially running away from their lives and forming a bond with each other. I've heard that this book has a surprising twist at the end, which may make readers like me guess incorrectly until the very end.

**Little Monsters by Thomas**

Another book that's on my radar is "Little Monsters" by Thomas. This author has a knack for writing short and engaging stories, and I'm excited to dive into this one. The plot follows Casey, a new girl in town who befriends two girls named Bailey and Jade, but things take a dark turn when Bailey doesn't show up at the biggest party of the school year. With rumors surrounding Casey's involvement in some shady dealings, she becomes the prime suspect. I've heard great things about this author's ability to craft suspenseful stories with unexpected twists.

**First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North**

While not strictly a thriller, "The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August" by Claire North has been described as a mind-bending and thought-provoking read. The story follows the life of Harry August, who is reborn every time he dies, remembering everything from his past lives. As Harry navigates through different eras, he becomes embroiled in a complex web of time travel and conspiracy. This book has been hailed as a classic thriller by many readers, despite its somewhat longer length.

**Why I Want to Read These Books**

There are several reasons why these books have caught my attention. Firstly, each of them has received rave reviews from readers and critics alike, with some books being described as must-reads for fans of the genre. Secondly, all of these authors have a reputation for crafting engaging stories that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. Lastly, I'm always drawn to books that explore themes related to human relationships, mystery, and suspense.

**Other Book Recommendations**

While not strictly thrillers, there are several other books that I've been itching to read, including "The Silent Patient" by Alex Michaelides, "The Last Mrs. Parrish" by Liv Constantine, and "The Wife Stalker" by Liv Constantine. All of these authors have a knack for crafting suspenseful stories with unexpected twists, which has led me to include them on my list.

**Conclusion**

These are just a few examples of the many thrillers that I've come across recently. While they may not all be my usual cup of tea, each one has caught my attention in some way. Whether it's the promise of mystery and suspense or the allure of complex characters and plot twists, there's something about these books that draws me in.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everybody today I'm here to recommend you some books today I'm gonna be talking about thrillers but more specifically why a thrillers feel like I've recommended a ton of just adults rulers but I thought I would share with you some of my favorite y8 thrillers video is a paid promotion with Disney Hyperion in celebration of the release of follow me by Sara Shepard follow me is the second book in the amateur series the amateurs came out last year you can see it right here and then saya thriller pet stores November 7th and I cannot wait to read it because I really enjoyed the amateurs in the first book the amateurs five years ago that has grown in Helena Kelly disappeared for her backyard nobody knows where she went she disappeared literally without a trace meanwhile we have eighteen-year-old Seneca who is actually kind of obsessed with like unsolved mysteries and kind of you know like figuring out things that the cops can't figure out actually like she's a part of this forum where they do unsolved mysteries and they try to have theories and they have like these unsolved things and she really feels like she has a lead on Helen its disappearance so she sees Helen as younger sister Erin post on the forum you know saying that she wants help like a decides to meet up with her friend she's on this forum about cold cases and go down to the channel where Helena lived and team up with her sister and try to figure out the disappearance of Helena Monica is hiding secrets of her own and a killer is looking in the background cue the dun-dun-duh there this book without spoiling anything another kind of disappearance or killing of a case does the case worth 21 year old Chelsea has it disappeared social media star was last seen at this party on a summer night down at the Jersey Shore and after an explosive fight with her ex-boyfriend she disappears without a trace hopefully when Seneca her friend Helena sister hear about this know some jarring details about this particular case for example Chelsea looks just like Helena Kelly the first like disappearance I told you about Annika is convinced she knows what happened to hell enough she can't shake the feeling that somehow this case directly links up with the case of Chelsea disappearing basically what the series all about we have these people that kind of are in the midst of like really involved with mysteries and cracking cold cases that the police can't seem to solve so they're like why not solve it on our own so this is the sequel like I said to the amateurs I'm not quite sure how many books is going to be but this is the second one really enjoyed the amateurs so I can't wait to read this one it just hit stores November 7th so this is the first why thriller I would like to recommend to you obviously I'm read this one yet but I can recommend the amateurs it definitely kept me guessing I really enjoy share separates writing for her mystery factor because I feel like no matter how many times I make guests I'm usually wrong so I would highly recommend this series I think it's just a fun mystery to get swept up in so the first why it's thrillers I would like to recommend you now onto some other ones no Sara Shepard let's talk about another one of her series and no not the Pretty Little Liars series I'm talking about the perfectionist duology I read this series last year and I really enjoy it I really enjoy it for the fact that it's two books two and you're done why like I said I do enjoy Sara Sheppard's writing I could not finish the prio liar series because it's way too long in my opinion but I did enjoy this do ology so we have their perfectionist as book number one and I forget what the second book is called the perfectionist oh I'm so sorry two books basically this follows a group of girls that have nothing in common except for they all hate the same guys so somehow they're all paired up for this school assignment and they all realize that that is the one thing they have in common this one guy that they literally cannot stand so as a joke they start putting on how they're going to kill him they plan it all for this one at a party they have this perfect plan to kill this guy because he deserves it and they don't go through with it but the next day the guy ends up dead in the exact way that they plan to kill him so something I've missed none of them have done it they're trying to figure out who has learned their plans who somebody in the group is being deceitful either way it was a great book I loved the ending of it the ending had me floored oh absolutely I never guessed I was never more wrong about ending in a series than the second book in the book that's the sequel to this so I highly recommend this book if you're just looking for a fun mystery to him a book Sara Shepard is a perfect way to go it's just the light fund and mysterious read as I keep saying but highly and I love the fact that it's only two books two books and you're done and they were great in my figure another book I want to recommend is with malice by Eileen cook I've read this a few years ago and while I didn't love it I could see why a lot of other people do love it this is all about this girl that wakes up from the hospital they're kind of quintessential wakes up from the hospital and she has no clue what has happened for her in the last two weeks she wakes up she knows that her best friend has died and she died while on a school trip because their whole like kind of class in school saying went to a trip to Europe and basically the girl does not know how she died she does not know she's involved with it and it kind of recant hers the steps of trying to replace her memory was it trying to remember what happened and you know learn snippets from obviously what was going on this also has unique thing because it's told like so at some points it's told like facebook comments of life I can't believe this girl and it you like get to see what other classmates are sinking which I thought was very interesting wow I think I didn't love the book for the ending the ending I wasn't especially a fan of the majority and it was really good I had any guessing I was like why to happen on this trip like what could have gone wrong so I would recommend that if you're looking for a mystery that's definitely not too scary but you're really like trying to figure out what the heck's going on another wife I learned that I was keep saying mysteries and thrillers I kind of compared them as the same thing that's just how I am I don't know if you would say certain books are mysteries or certain book thrillers I don't know what separates the two genres but I kind of combined them just as like mystery fillers if you go and say so the next thriller Ness Street however you want to call it I want to recommend to you is there someone inside your house by Stephanie Perkins this can also be classified as horror I think but I don't really see it is that I see it more of a mystery slower I actually just read this a few weeks ago and I can loved it but I did enjoy it this is a book basically like if you take the movie I know what you love somewhere and scream and put it into a book boom there you have this is a quintessential teenage slasher film where there is a killer on the loose and those high school and high school students are showing up dead and no one can quite figure it out Oh we'll say the one thing I really didn't like about this book is you find out the killer pretty early on which I didn't really enjoy I think the whole notion of a thriller is you are trying to figure out slowly and then kind of the end is like the boom there's a mystery reveal this one it kind of hits you with the boom really early on and you have to deal with kind of the aftermath or the catching and things like that so this was a fun book I'm not gonna lie to you but it wasn't the best book but either way it's a quick fun read that'll definitely keep you guessing and you'll be like oh crap what's gonna happen here because like I said it's literally a teenage slasher film inside of a book but never book I want to recommend or maybe I don't know I just want to talk about is we were Liars by E Lockhart I don't know what to classify this book is it a mystery the thriller I don't know I read this book also a few years ago and this book left me so confused like after I finished it I literally did not know how to feel about it basically we have this group of friends that go to this island they're together every summer and this summer is kind of different you have to kind of have to piece together what's happening and I can't tell you anything more you have to go into this completely blind because at the end of it you're gonna be like what did I just read so this is a very controversial book a lot of people don't like it and a lot of people love it I'm kind of like I don't think I like it but I don't hate it if that makes any sense I feel like the ending was just a big WTF moment in my opinion I was like what and I just felt like it could have been a little bit better but I'm recommending it for the sole fact of it kept me interested and the ending jarred me so much I was like why it's like one of those books that when you get to the ending you're like how did I see that happening like how did I not piece together this puzzle and you mentally beat yourself up because you were like I should have caught all those signs but you didn't book I'm recommending for that and it's a super fast read you could finish this in a day honestly like it's only I don't think it's even 300 pages no it's only like 200 pages so it's a quick read and it's still gonna be like what did I just read so this is definitely a very gripping novel but very I don't know the more I think about it the more I don't love it but I still wanna talk the nice book I want to talk about is another one know what to classify it as ultimately I see it kind of as a mystery but more as a atmospheric mystery and that is stalking Jack the river by Carrie Maniscalco I read this this year and while I didn't love it I don't think I really liked it might Bend one of my least favorite books the whole year I can understand what a lot of people did love it because it's very atmospheric as I said this takes place in like the 1800's in London and you're pretty much following the case of Jack the Ripper so we have our main character I forget her name her name is Audrey and Audrey's grown to be this you know beautiful Victorian girl and she actually wants to like cut open people like she her uncle is kind of a mortician and she wants to like study cadavers and things like that so obviously when the case of Jack the Ripper pops up she wants to learn more about why Jack turfers doing it kind of catch him and that's what this book is all about I will say it's definitely a mystery and you can guess what's gonna happen at least I did and I'm really horrible at guessing I'm just gonna throw it out there but I did enjoy it for the fact of like the whole mystery aspect of it I wish it was a little bit more mysterious if that makes any sense at all but I wanted a little bit more of like really stalking Jack the Ripper I feel like you got that if you like it more delved into the personal character of Audrey Rhodes which was definitely interesting I didn't love the romance in it but I just felt like it could have been a lot better but it still want to recommend it to you because a ton of people have read this book this year and loved it so I'm definitely the unpopular opinion here said I didn't love a book doesn't mean you're not gonna love it you may read this and fall head over heels with it but I want to share this with you because it definitely is like more mysterious and thrilling because it's obviously stoking Jack the Ripper so books I want to talk about are more white photos that I want to read I haven't read a ton after obviously going through this list and realizing hmm I should probably read more why thrillers next four or five books I'm gonna show you or why throws that I would love to read sometime soon the first one thing genuine fraud by E Lockhart yes another a la carte book I don't know I really liked her writing style and they're gripping books they're not my favorite I think what makes me keep coming back to her is the fact that they're so short again this one is a little bit lengthier than her last one this is only 260 pages but that's nothing oh I want to read this book I feel like ilan our books you to go into them completely blind and just go for the ride all I know about this it's about two girls basically that are kind of running away and I think they're basically gonna like be each other if that makes sense like switch lies like there are like it's a genuine fraud of their life I think I could be a hundred percent wrong with that synopsis but I've heard good things about this book and I definitely wanna check it out because number one so short and number two I wanna see if it's gonna have the same ending as the real wires were at the end I'm gonna be like what did I just read how did I not guess that so I want to read this very very soon another one I want to be very soon is little monsters back here at Thomas she also has another book I wanna check out caught in the darkest corners this is basically about a girl named Casey who is a new girl to this town and she's very very wary about and being the new girl because it's hard being the new girl and then she befriends a couple of people named Bailey and Jade and they're her new friends and everything's going great and they start acting distant and Casey doesn't understand why they're acting so distant and why they don't invite her to the biggest party of the whole school year why also doesn't feel like an accident that they didn't invite her Casey will never be able to ask them because Bailey one of her new friends does not make it home that night like this new town doesn't seem like it's welcome at all and Casey is being investigated for a whole bunch of Saurus thing so it sounds like basically there's this party that goes on maybe had Casey has something new with it maybe not I don't know if heard really good things about this book and I've heard good things about this author so it definitely sounds like a why a thriller right up my alley another one I would love to check out is first number four by Alexander's sure OE I actually read a few pages of this and it didn't quite grip me but I want to check it out again because I can I've heard phenomenal things about this one this is about like this group of friends that like something happens I think and they pretty much form like a really good friendship and it becomes almost like a cult and then I think a murder happens and I don't know I heard like so many different synopsises of this book when somebody explains that somebody has something different to like describe it as so I know all I know it's basically like about this friendship that's a cult and maybe a murders happen I'm not sure it's quite a lengthy one I will say it's like over 400 pages which I think's a little bit lengthy for a wise ruler in particular so I don't know I want to try it again because I've heard so many good things about it and about this author particular so definitely want to check it out again at least give it another change there you have it there are all the wife throw books I would like to recommend to you if you have read any of these please let me know or if you have any want to recommend to me I would also love to hear again thank you so much into seeing a parent for sponsoring this video I definitely check out followed me by Sara Shepard just hit stores November 7th I know I'll be reading this very very soon because I just I don't know why it's like Sara Sheppard's the one author I cannot quit like I keep not when I read her books but then when I hear anyone comes down like oh I would want to read that because it's gonna be I know it's gonna be a short quick and fun ride honestly if you enjoyed this video be sure to give it a thumbs up hit subscribe and I will see you guys in my next one byehello everybody today I'm here to recommend you some books today I'm
