Introduction to Spicy Noodle Challenge
Hello everyone, and welcome back to my channel! Today, I'm excited to share with you another spicy noodle challenge that's sure to test your limits. This time, we're going to tackle Samyang's stew type spicy noodles. As a special treat, I've been sent some lovely Brenda, who kindly sent me a pack of these noodles, including the curry flavor as well. To make things even more interesting, I'll be sharing my social media links so you can win one of these packs for yourself and try them out.
Preparing the Noodles
To start, we need to boil the noodles with the sauce packet. So, here's the liquid sauce in 500 milliliters of water. As it boils, it starts to thicken up, and I can see that it's got a more robust flavor profile compared to other Samyang sauces. This one looks almost like gochujang! Next, we add the noodles, and I'm sure they'll absorb all those delicious flavors in no time.
The Flavor Profile
After boiling for five minutes, I remove the heat and get ready to add the spice powder on top. The aroma is incredible – it's so garlicky and inviting! Looking at these noodles, I can see that they're thicker and wider compared to other Samyang noodles. That white powder looks like there might be some seasoning in there as well, adding an extra layer of depth to the flavor profile.
Eating the Noodles
Now it's time to dig in! As I take my first bite, I'm greeted by a wave of flavors that are both spicy and savory. The noodles have a delightful chewy texture, which is absolutely addictive. For me, this stew type noodle has become my new favorite so far – not only the texture but also the flavor of the sauce is spot on.
The Texture Game
I must admit that I'm thoroughly enjoying the experience of eating these noodles. However, as you know, ramen noodles can be quite unforgiving, and it's easy to get a bit carried away. My habit is to inhale those noodles because it's just how you eat them, but when they're spicy, things get a little different. The spiciness sends a wave of heat straight to the back of my throat, initiating that familiar gagging coughing reflex.
Slurping and Savoring
Inhaling or slurping is definitely not an option here; I have to be more mindful of the noodles' temperature and texture. As I take another bite, I'm loving every single bit of this stew type noodle. The flavors are well-balanced – not too sweet, but just a hint of sweetness that doesn't overpower the spiciness. It's perfect for warming up on a chilly winter day.
Nose Running
As we near the end of our noodles, I can see why they're called "stew type" rather than soup; the broth has developed into a richer, more starchy soup over time. With each bite, I'm tasting the sesame seeds, which add a delightful nutty flavor to the mix. It's clear that these noodles have been made with love and care – it shows in every single spoonful.
Cleaning Up
As we're almost done, my nose starts running, but that just means it's been working overtime to process all those delicious flavors! With this final batch of noodles, I can see why this particular pack has won me over. The combination of spices, the texture, and the broth makes for a truly memorable meal.
The Final Verdict
All in all, I'm thoroughly impressed with these Samyang stew type spicy noodles. They've not only proven to be delicious but also satisfying – it's clear that Brenda knew what she was doing when she sent me this pack. With its unique flavor profile and delightful texture, I wouldn't mind buying this on a regular basis. Would you like to try them out for yourself?

They're much wider.Sauce packets and a powder packetI have 500 milliliters of water boiling. Put the liquid sauce into the water and boil. That smells like the other Samyang sauces.Oh, it's actually thicker. It's actually much thicker this looks more like gochujang. And then I'm supposed to add the noodlesI'm sure I get all of those in there. Alright be back in five minutes, okay!So I hope you can see me through this cloud of steam, but it has been 5 minutes. Turn off the heatThis is a white powderLook at that. Very different than any other sachets the other sachets were more of a finishing and this one looks like it actually has someseasoning in there as wellMeaning like some kind of bouillon or somethingAnd I can't wait to tuck into this! This smells so goodChilied and garlic. This one has the most pronounced smell to me or aroma, although the curry one did smell really strong as wellbut that was a little bit different that was a different kind of spiced curry. This one smells justwonderful in the sense that it's really garlicky and look at these noodles. They lookwonderfu!l Nice and thick - this one is very brothy as wellSo like all the other spicy noodle challenges my goal is to finish this withoutconsuming any other drinks and just to finish it, right? All right! Let's see if I can do it. It looks so good!Looks like there's a little bit ofsesame seeds in there and some bits of seaweed and maybe some green onion. All right here we go!ItadakimasuYes!Now that flavor is deliciousMuch more garlic hereAs it smells than any of the others, but my favorite part is a texture of the noodles. So chewy and bouncyMy favorite one so far has been the original because I love the texture, and the flavor is a little bit sweet and spicyBut I think this one is my new favorite because not only the texture of the noodlebut the flavor of the sauce is great as well. I have to be careful of inhaling when I have ramen noodlesIt's out of habit. I kind of inhale, because that's what you do when you eat ramen noodlesIt's a way of cooling off the noodles and just showingThe proprietor that you enjoy the noodles well. Because this is spicy it goes to the back of your throatImmediately initiates this kind of gagging coughing reflux, so I'm gonna try to keep myself from slurping, but anywaysMore eatin'Mmm!So tasty. This one also is not as sweet as any of the othersIt's moregarlicky, and I love it if you love garlic you're gonna love this one so good, and if you love chewing noodles. AmazingMm-hmm. Bring that a little closerAdjust my camera a little bitBecause this one's brothy, it's sending broth everywhere. So I'm gonna bring it a little bit closer to me. In terms of heatit's about as spicy so far as any of the othersIt's pretty hot. Significantly hot and and the other just hot ramen noodle that you'll trybut manageable deliciousMm-hmmAnd I recommend a spoon for this one as well. Just because of the amount of broth in hereSo I'm gonna have to eat it a little bit differentlyHmm this would be so good in winter. My goshI'm loving this one, so yummyAnd I also like that it's not as sweet it does have a sweetness in it, but not sort of a noticeable sweetness. Like thatMm-hmmBut my favorite part hands down is the texture of the noodles. I think next time I would even cook itmaybe a minute less. I did the full five minutes, but I think four minutes would be perfect for meI'm trying not to get broth and sauce everywhere, but I know it's gonna stainThis level heat is really nice, it's significant. Like you definitely feel it's spicy, but it's not painful. Not yet at leastWhich becomes a distraction you're not really enjoying your food at leastI don't really enjoy my food once it gets to be that hot. It just becomes numbing right you can't reallytaste anything at that point, which the two-times hot definitely did that for meThis is great.I don't really... I try not to break my noodles. Okay.Alright looks like I'm in two-thirds of the way there. Oops that's a really big biteTi-ti-ti-ti~Scrumptious, I would buy this on a regular basisSo wouldAll right, that's it. It actually doesn't have that many noodles in itWell, I mean it's the same amount of noodles, I think it has any other packs, butI want more! So good! Alright now, my nose is starting to runLet's get all of those noodles on thereThe soup has become more of a broth nowI can see why it's called stew type. At first it seemed more like a soup, but as youlet it sit, and the noodles cook down the starches kind of get into the soup and makes it definitely more like a stewThat's so good. Now I'm tasting the sesameAlright, I'm gonna clean up my noseCuz now, it's definitely dripping. Okay, alright, because I know many of you're gonna say \"Drink the soup!\" here we goIt's thick more like a sauceBut tastyFor sure. When you drink it somehow, it doesn't seem as spicy. Although, I'm sure my innards are saying otherwiseLet's get this last little bit hereDoneThere you have it the lovelySamyangStew type. Brenda, thank you so much for sending these to meThis one is my favorite. Scrumptious, absolutely scrumptious.
