**The Importance of Honest Reviews**

As someone who has reviewed various devices over the years, including phones and cars, I've learned that honesty is key when it comes to earning trust with one's audience. When reviewing a product, it's essential to be professional and not feel obligated to give a positive review simply because you're trying to build a reputation or curry favor with the manufacturer's public relations team. Instead, I always strive to provide an honest assessment of the product, even if it means saying something negative.

This approach has its benefits, but it also comes with some risks. For instance, not all manufacturers will appreciate my candor, and it may damage our relationship over time. However, I believe that honesty is essential for maintaining journalistic integrity and building trust with one's audience. If I don't have a good relationship with my audience, then what do I really have to offer? It's a philosophy that has served me well in the past, even if it hasn't always been popular with manufacturers.

**Driving the Ford Focus Electric**

Recently, I had the chance to drive the Ford Focus Electric for several weeks. This 100% electric car is an absolute blast to drive, and I've thoroughly enjoyed my time behind the wheel. One of the first things that struck me was how quiet it is - there's virtually no noise coming from the engine or exhaust system. This has a profound effect on driving, as I find myself being much more careful about how hard I press my accelerator and brake pedals.

Another feature that's really impressed me is regenerative braking. When I drive a regular internal combustion car, I often find myself trying to "regen" the brakes by taking my foot off the accelerator or pressing harder on the brakes than usual. However, it's only when I've driven an electric car for a while that I realize how much fun this feature is. It's like having an extra gear that lets me slow down smoothly and efficiently.

The Ford Focus Electric also has a range of about 76 miles, which is more than enough for my daily driving needs. While it's not the longest-range electric car on the market, its real-world range anxiety is virtually nonexistent. I've been able to drive for hours without needing to recharge, and when I do need to plug in, it's a breeze.

The Ford mobile app is another feature that's really impressed me. It lets me check my battery level, find nearby charging stations, and even interact with my car remotely. It's a great way to alleviate some of the anxiety that comes with driving an electric car, especially when you're far from home or running low on charge.

**The Galaxy Note 2: A Worthy Successor?**

When it comes to the Galaxy Note 2, I'm in my mind totally awesome. This phone is a worthy successor to one of my favorite phones of the past few years - the original Galaxy Note. At 5.5 inches, it's still plenty big and impressive, with a high-resolution display and a powerful quad-core processor that makes it feel like a rocket under the hood.

One of the things that really stands out about this phone is its battery life. With a 3100mAh hour capacity, I've found myself being able to use it for several days without needing to recharge. This is especially important if you're someone who likes to be on the go and can't always find time to plug in.

I'm also really impressed with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean that's running under the hood. It's smooth, fast, and responsive - exactly what I need from a phone. And while some people may have been disappointed by Ice Cream Sandwich not being available on this device, I think it's clear that Samsung is committed to keeping their phones up-to-date with the latest operating system.
