The Silverstone AR m 22 SC Dual Interactive Arm Stand: A Comprehensive Review

In this review, we will delve into the features and benefits of the Silverstone AR m 22 SC dual interactive arm stand, a product designed to help individuals set up a multi-monitor array for extra productivity and pixels. The stand's design is centered around providing a space-saving solution for mounting two monitors onto a single monitor arm, featuring a dual arm flexible system.

The packaging of the arm stand is noteworthy, with an organized layout of each part that makes assembly a breeze. Silverstone also included some accessories with the purchase, such as two Allen keys and different sized screws, making it easy to get started. The clamp type mount is another feature worth mentioning, as it allows for manual adjustment and accommodates various desk thicknesses, from 8 millimeters up to 50 millimeters.

One of the standout features of this arm stand is its build quality. The steel clan at the bottom comes with a nice layer of foam to prevent unnecessary marks on the desk, while the aluminum frame boasts an appealing shiny coating along with the Silverstone logo, highlighting the true craftsmanship that went into building this product. The assembly process was indeed effortless, thanks to a support bracket attached to the dual knobs on the base.

The arm stand's wire management adaptor is another notable feature, providing flexibility when it comes to cable management and height adjustment. A built-in cable channel in the LCD arms ensures stealth routing and keeps the entire system clutter-free. The VESA mounting options on each arm offer a swivel adjust of plus or minus 90 degrees, while the tilt adjust has a maximum range of plus 90 degrees and minus 20 degrees.

This product is designed to support dual panels up to 24 inches in size, with a weight limit of 2 to 10 kilograms per arm. While it may not be suitable for larger displays, compatibility was not an issue for this reviewer, who successfully used the stand with two 24-inch monitors. A built-in resistance adjustment behind the base on the secondary arm allows users to loosen or tighten the spring for easier movement or heavier panels.

The final step in setting up the product is securing the LCD arms on the Silverstone AR m 22 SC dual interactive arm stand. The reviewer took some time to adjust their eye level for comfort, and the result was an outstanding spacing saving solution that offers significantly better movement flexibility, including plus 90-degree rotation for portrait viewing.

However, there are a few things to keep in mind when using this product. First and foremost, the distance from the wall may be crucial if you plan to rotate the main arm around the pole. Additionally, once the entire system is set up, it can be quite heavy, making repositioning the base clamp a necessary task.

In conclusion, the Silverstone AR m 22 SC dual interactive arm stand is an outstanding product that showcases excellent integration of steel and aluminum. The elegant black silver color scheme will suit office or home use perfectly, and while the price may be a bit high, it remains competitive compared to other clamp-style dual monitor arm solutions.
