The phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipsets along with the X55 modem, making it capable of delivering fast performance and 5G connectivity. We also have eight gigabytes of RAM, which should handle demanding tasks without any issues. With its impressive specs, this phone promises to deliver exceptional results for professional photographers and videographers. The device boasts a 12-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, making it well-equipped to handle various shooting scenarios. Additionally, we have support for high-resolution audio, high-resolution audio wireless with LDAC, and even 360 reality audio, which is a testament to Sony's emphasis on audio capabilities.
**Display**
Speaking of the display, the Xperia 1 II boasts a massive 6.1-inch screen that offers an impressive 21:9 aspect ratio. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: en- What's up guys,Saf here on SuperSaf TVand we've finally got Sony Xperia 1 ii,Xperia one mark two.Just last year,I was praising Sony for goingfor a more simpler naming conventionwith the Xperia 1and they've just gone aheadand made everything confusing againit looks like they're adoptingtheir camera naming conventionand having a mark two upgrade, but anyway, Xperia 1 ii.So many requests to coverthis on the channel.Let's go ahead, check it outsee what it's got to offerand give it the properSuperSaf style treatment. The usual branding hereat the front at the back,we have some of the key features. Now Sony is going against the convention,so they're not doing whateverybody else is doingand they've kind of gone for a bit moreof a unique approach, and we'll have to see if that's paid off.So inside the box,as well as the device, you get some people work, you get a USB type C to USB type C cable. There's an 18 Watt fastcharger which is fast, but nowhere near as fastas a lot of the competitionwhere we've seen 25 Watts, 40 Watts, even up to 65 Watts, but something that we don'tsee on the competitionis a 3.5 millimeter headphone Jackand you'll see here that we've gotsome 3.5 millimeter earphones includedand that is because the Xperia 1 iidoes have a 3.5 millimeter Jackmaking it very, very unique.Even the Xperia 1 last yeardid not have a 3.5 millimeter Jackso Sony have kind of gone back to thisand that is very interesting. Now the Xperia 1 ii alsohas wireless charging.Again, it's not crazy fast, like a lot of the competitionand here's the devicelet's get rid of stickersand also the screen protector. So we've got a metalframe with glass panelson the front and back as expected. This is the black versionthere is also a white as well as a purpleand it's just a plain black color.Sony haven't gone forany gradient finishesor anything like that, that we're seeing on manyof the devices right now,but the main thing on the Xperia 1 iiis this display, which is quite differentto the punch outs, highrefresh rate displaysthat we're seeing right now. This is a 21 by nine cinema wide,4K HDR OLED displayand it's 6.5 inches. We've got a 60 Hertz refresh rates, not 120 Hertz or 90Hertz like we're seeingfrom the competitors. But Sony do have some motionblur reduction technology, which should make things seem smoother.Sony is saying almostlike a 90 Hertz displaybut this is with software, not hardware. And we do have some topon bottom bezelsso we've not got a notchor a punch out or anything like that. Now in terms of my first impressionsof the display, it's very, very sharpthanks for that 4K resolution sharper, then pretty much anything else out there. What's most interestingabout this display isthat 21 by nine aspect ratio. This is something that we sawon the Xperia 1 last year. What that means is thisis very much cateredtowards watching that 21 by nine content. So if you're watching a lot of movies, most movies do have an aspect ratioof 21 by nineso that is very, very wideand that wide you'renot going to be gettingany black bars on the topand the bottom, but that does meanwhen you're watching 16 by nine content, even 18 by nine content, then you will be seeingblack bars on the leftand the right. And one other advantage that you getwith a 21 by nine screen isthat it's not very wideand it's actually quitecomfortable to hold inone hand compared to other devicesso let's bring in a few of the devicesto do a bit of a size comparison. So the first device we've got hereis the Samsung galaxy S20 ultraand you can straight away seethat it's quite a bit wider, but you can also see that the bezelsare quite a bit smaller. Now, the iPhone 11 pro max, once again, quite a bit wider, but it's also quite abit shorter because ofthat taller aspect ratio thatwe've got on the Xperia 1 iiand finally looking at theXperia 1 from last year, very, very similar in sizebecause this also does havethat 21 by nine aspect ratio, right. So that's the display and the sizelet's not talk about the camerasso upfront we do have an eightmegapixel front facing camerais got an F2.2 aperture, but we've got some interestingcameras at the back.So there are four cameras in totalwith three different focal lens, all of the three differentfocal lens are at 12 megapixels. So I do like that Sony have just gonewith 12 megapixels across the board, rather than going for acrazy high pixel numberwhen realistically speaking, you're still going tobe shooting at 12 megapixelsanyway, this is somethingthat we see from manyof the other competitors. The primary camera has an F1.7 apertureit's got around a 24millimeter angle of view, which is pretty wide and ithas a 1/1.7 inch sensor size, which is pretty large, but definitely not as large as someof the others like the P40 proand the S20 Ultra. We then got a telephoto camera, which has an F2.4 apertureand that's got around about a70 millimeter angle of view. Now, a lot of other telephoto cameras, which are around at two times haveabout a 50 millimeter angle of viewthis is a little bit more than thatso it's almost three times optical zoom,I would say around 2.8 to three times,we then have the ultra-widecamera with an F2.2 apertureand around a 16 millimeter angle of viewso in terms of the field of view, that's around 124 degrees. And finally we have a 3Dtime of flight sensor, which is going to helpwith depth information. You can see the Zeiss logo herebecause Sony do work withZeiss for their opticsand Sony have really been talkingabout the auto focuscapabilities of this smartphone. We do have real time EYE-AF,which is something that we see on a lot ofthese pro Sony cameras, eye tracking, real time. This is opposed to work withhumans as well as animals. In addition to that,we do have 20 frame's asecond burst shooting. So this is I think, the fastest on any smartphoneit's really going to beable to capture a lotof moving action just by pressingand holding again, something that we seeon a lot of pro camerasthat Sony is bringing onto here. Now, in order to be ableto take advantage fullyof a lot ofthese camera features,we do have a few pro apps.So for photos,we do have photo pro, which will give you full manual controlsover things like your shutter speed, your white balance, even your focus and for video,we do have cinema pro, which once again gives you lotsof manual controls,ISO, shutter speedyou've got lots of different looks,as well as the frames per secondso you can choose thecorrect frames per secondfor film making, whichis 24 frames a second, despite what Marques might tell youbut if you want, you can choose 25, 30or even 60 frames a second. There are also some audio levels here,so you can monitor youraudio and things like thatand this does look like avery fully fledged cinema appand if you are somebody who'sinto pro video and pro photography, then this is something thatyou're going to really appreciate. Now, having said that I'mparticularly interest sit in howthis will compare to someof the other competition.Having those promotes is amazing, but for the general user, you want to go out thereand take some photosand you want the smartphone to do all ofthat processing for you. We've seen the likes of Googlewho use very simple hardware, but do lots of softwareprocessing capture multiple imagesand combine them to giveyou some great dynamic rangeand things like that. And this is something that,I did criticize Sony for last year.Although the pro app wasgreat when it did cometo the regular app,it just didn't really holdup against the competition. So let's see this year, whether the Xperia 1 ii is once againgoing to be a very niche smartphonefor pro photographers and videographersor if it's going to be somethingthat's still going to be,very usable for the rest of the public.Definitely let me knowin the comments belowwhich SuperSaf style cameracomparison you'd liketo see of the Xperia 1ii versus I'll also tryto leave a poll up thereso you can vote which one you'd liketo see most. Now, moving onif we take a look aroundthe device at the bottom, there is a USB type C inputon the right hand side,we've got a volume rocker. We've got a dedicated shutter button, which is quite niceit allow you to use thesmartphone in landscape modeand take pictures easily. There's also a power which doubles upas a fingerprint scanner, and it seems to work fine, but it's definitely not as fastas others I've tested, there is a bitof an animation, which, seems to slow things down.On the top is that 3.5 millimeter Jack, which makes this very, very unique. We've got support forhigh resolution audio,or even high resolutionaudio wireless with LDACand we've also got 360 reality audio. So Sony, really putting an emphasison the audio capabilitiesof this smartphone,Sony very experienced in the audio sector. On the left hand side,we've got a traywhich you can actuallyjust pull out like this. And this has space for a SIM card,as well as a micro SDcard, something else, which we don't reallysee much of these daysso you can expand the storageon the Xperia 1 ii, it does already comewith 256 gigabytes. So that is already quite a bit of storage, but if you are going to be taking lotsof pro video on here, of course, you're going to be needing that storageand having a micro SD card meansyou can just pop it out on,then pop it in to a laptopor something like that. Now this is powered bythe latest and greatest. We do have the QualcommSnapdragon 865 chipsets alongwith the X55 modem. So 5G is enabledand we've got eight gigabytes of RAMso performance I'm sure it'sgoing to be absolutely fine.Sony also putting an emphasis on gaming. We've got some gaming features on here. And this is also compatiblewith Sony's dual shockfour wireless controller. So you're going to be able to mount thison the controller and play your gameson the smartphone via a controller, which may give you quite a bitof a competitive edge for the software. We do have Android 10with Sony's skin, but honestly speakingI don't mind Sony skinit's very minimalit's almost stock Android. We do have some additional featuresso we've got the 21 bynine multi window feature. And this is going to allowyou to take advantageof that very large display. And there's also side sense, which is okay you can taptwice here on the sideand it's going to bring up some shortcutsto your apps, which for me has alwaysbeen a bit hit and miss.So it's a, yeah, here you go.You kind of have to really hit iton the right mark, which I'm not a huge fan ofand I don't find myself using too much, but hey, there is a feature that's there. For the batterywe do have a 4,000mAh battery, which is quite a bit larger comparedto what we had last yearI believe it was around 3,300.So I'll see what the battery life is likein day to day usage of course we do havethat 4K displayso we'll see how wellthings are optimized. For pricing this is going to be retailingfor 1100 pounds or $1,200,which is definitely up there with allof the other flagships. And it's going to be really interestingto see if this is goingto be a niche product justfor a few peopleor it's really going to besomething a bit more mainstream. What do you guys thinkof the Sony Xperia 1 ii.What other coverage wouldyou like me to do with it?Do let me knowin the comments below. If you want to see that future coverageand not miss out, then be sure to subscribe (beeps),hit that bell icon.I hope you enjoyed this videoand found it useful if you did then do itthat thumbs up on for me.Thanks for watching thisis Saf on SuperSaf TV,and I'll see you next time.(upbeat music)\n"
