of that and finally number six we have the price no student wants to spend a ton on a laptop unless your parents buy it for you in that case doesn't really matter but as a student who bought my own gear myself for my own hard-earned money I know how important it is to get all the above for a really good price okay so starting off with a portability the new honor magic book 14 is well a 14 inch laptop but its footprint is just about the same size or even smaller in some cases than some order 13 inch laptops more baller display in just a bit it weighs just one point 38 kilograms and it is just fifteen point nine milliliters thick so it is not the lightest or the thinnest laptop on the market but it is still one of the thinnest and one of the lightest and you'll see why this is when I get to the performance section of this video I think you'll be quite impressed so just to give you guys an idea of how light this laptop really is I can basically hold it hopefully I don't drop it we're just two fingers and when this is in my bag I almost don't feel it at all sometimes I thought that my bag was empty and I literally have to stop and check my bag so if you're a student portability wise the automatic before teen is great and it's not just a portability that's great about the magic with 14 but it's also the fact that it looks stunning so it comes in a full aluminium or aluminum bill depending on where you're based in which is also a matte finish so no need to worry about fingerprints or smudges on top of this the magic book 14 also has this beautiful diamond-cut chamfered edge that shines in blue whenever you shine some light on it absolutely love this effect it kind of gives you the impression that it has an LED strip all around the body now when it comes to battery life you get a 10 hour battery life for things such as web browsing and office work which is what most students will be doing so you can pretty much get an all-day battery life in this scenario but a magic book does come with two very special battery related features that students will absolutely love so the first one being the fact that it comes with a USB type-c port for charging this means that if you have any modern smartphone you can actually use your smart phone charger to charge your laptop as well and vice versa on top of this you can even buy a USB type-c battery bank and charged a match ebook from there if you're out in the wild and I don't know you have no power socket anywhere near you now this is some pretty cool stuff but what's probably my favorite feature of this laptop is the fact that he also gets this very powerful 65 watt charger in the box which also supports fast charging so normally laptops take between three to four hours to fully charge depending on the model of course well the magic 14 can actually charge too close to 50% in just 30 minutes so this means that if you're running late for class and you just have a few minutes to top off you can easily get a few more hours of usage out of it whereas with most other laptops this would not be possible at all and he would have to wait or skip classes so it's going pretty well so far but what about you know the Packer display well the magic week 14 as the name implies comes with a 14 inch display so this is a 1920 by 1080 resolution display with a 16 by 9 asset ratio it's a pretty good display and I do like the fact that it's 14 inches in size and as you can probably tell the bezels on this are insanely thin however the bottom bezel looks more like on a traditional laptop I would have loved to see thin bezels on all four sides but this would have resulted in the keyboard or the trackpad being sacrificed a 16 by 10 display would have solved this to some extent as a 60 by 10 display is indeed taller regardless it's a pretty nice display with about 300 to 400 nits of brightness which is also laminated with an anti-reflective coating it is not a touchscreen in case you're wondering but the display can indeed go full flat so you get 180 degrees of tilt here perfect for any viewing experience right now we have the keyboard and this is where it gets really interesting so we have a scissor type keyboard mechanism so pretty standard on most laptops the keys themselves are quite thin but ADA provides significantly more key travel than the butterfly keyboard that we felt for example on MacBooks for so many years now the keyboard is also backlit so we can easily type at ninth which is always a nice feature to have now you might have noticed that there's no camera here yeah where's the camera is it on the top bezel no is it on the bottom bezel no on are actually hit it inside the keyboard yes all you have to do to bring it up is to press on the camera key right here and the camera will pop up if you are ever concerned about someone spying you through a webcam this is really the best approach there is because the camera is always hidden unless you wanted visible
