Popin' Cookin' Colorful Ramune Land -- Whatcha Eating #200

Welcome to Whatcha Eating?, where we explore new and exciting culinary adventures together! Today, I'm thrilled to share with you my experience with the Colorful Ramuné Land Popin' Cookin' kit. This kit is not only fun but also educational, as it teaches us how to mix colors and create our own unique ramuné candies.

As we begin our journey, let's take a look at the components of this set. We have three packages of colored powders – yellow, red, and blue – along with a wooden dowel, a spoon, and a mixing tray. The mixing tray is what sets this kit apart from others; it comes equipped with adorable characters like a rabbit, turtle, carrot, and puppy. I must say, the design is quite cute!

Now that we have all our pieces, let's start by cutting along the lines to separate the mixing tray. Once we've done that, we'll flip it over to create a stand, which will hold our ramuné candies in place. This stand is called "akairo no moto," and it's an essential part of the kit.

Next, we'll begin adding water to each powder. The yellow powder, for example, requires only one scoop of water, but this causes it to turn a lovely shade of pink. As I mix it with my wooden dowel, I'm surprised by how much it smells like grape! To ensure our mixture doesn't dry out, we'll fold it over and set it aside.

We'll repeat the same process for the red and blue powders, adding one scoop each to create a nice level of mixing. The smell of these powders is quite distinct; the blue powder smells like ramuné soda, while the red one has a scent that's more reminiscent of grape. Now that we have all our colors mixed, it's time to experiment and see what flavors we can create.

Using equal parts yellow and blue, I'll mix them together to create a lovely shade of green. To my surprise, this mixture turns out beautifully! Next, we'll try creating orange by combining equal parts yellow and red powders with one scoop of the red powder. This is where things get interesting, as the color doesn't quite match what we expect.

Finally, we'll mix equal parts pink and blue to create a vibrant shade of purple. I'm excited to see how these colors will come together to form our ramuné candies.

Now that we have all our colors mixed, it's time to start creating our little ramuné candies! We'll begin by adding orange, green, and pink powders into the molds, making sure to pack them in tightly. The wooden dowel provided in the kit is perfect for tamping down the powder and ensuring a smooth shape.

As we work on each candy, I'm struck by how much fun this process can be. It's like watching a tiny miracle unfold before our eyes! We'll add the finishing touches to each candy, making sure they're all perfectly formed and filled to the brim.

Once we've finished all the candies, it's time to invert them and pop them out of the molds. This is the moment we've all been waiting for – seeing our creations come to life in all their colorful glory!

And what do these little ramuné candies taste like? As I take my first bite of the carrot-shaped candy, I'm surprised by how much it tastes like lemon! The texture is a bit crumbly and damp, but the flavor is still delightful. Next up, I'll try the rainbow bunny, which turns out to be just as scrumptious.

As we continue to taste each and every one of our creations, I realize that this Popin' Cookin' kit has taught me so much more than just how to make ramuné candies. It's shown me the importance of patience, attention to detail, and having fun in the kitchen.

Of course, there are a few downsides to this kit – it does take some time to get the colors to mix well, and the process can be a bit tedious at times. However, for me, that's all part of the charm. As we wrap up our adventure with Colorful Ramuné Land, I want to thank you for joining me on this culinary journey. Until next time, happy cooking!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enGreetings my lovelies! Hi, it's Emmy! Welcome back to another Whatcha Eating? andI am in my kitchen. Yay! Let me know in the comments below what you think about this set-up.I'm trying new things, and — yeah! All right, so today we have this: and this is another Popin' Cookin' set; and it is called Colorful Ramuné Land. This kit makes little ramuné candies using some powders and water. So this is also educational because it will teach you how to mix your colors. So, let's go ahead and get started. There's the front; and there's the back; let's open her up; three packages: yellow, red, and blue; a wooden dowel; a spoon; and a mixing tray. So, the mixing tray that I got includes a little rabbit; turtle; carrot; and puppy. Very cute!So the first thing we are going to do is cut along these lines and separate the tray.So those are our main pieces. We're gonna flip this tray over like this. And this becomes our stand. This is aka-iro no moto.So this is the red-colored powder. We're gonna add one scoop of water. And it turns a nice, little pink color. And then we're gonna mix it with our wooden dowel. Smells like —grape actually.I'm going to fold it over, so it doesn't dry out. Set this one aside. Ki-iro no moto. This is the yellow.Add one nice, level scoop...of water. And mix.Ooh! This one smells like lemon. Smells great! There's our yellow mixture. Again, I'll fold it over. Set that one aside.Ao-iro no moto which is the blue powder. Again, add one level scoop. And this one smells like ramuné soda. It smells great as well.Okay! So now that we have the blue one all mixed as well, we are ready to actually make our colors. The soda and the grape together is supposed to make grape soda.Grape and the lemon is supposed to make orange. And, the lemon and the soda is supposed to make lime.I know that the mixing of the colors will be true; but I don't know about the flavors, so let's see. Take equal parts yellow — to equal parts blue — to make the green.Mix that together and sure enough it is turning a green color. All right! So that's our green pattern.Next we're going to make our orange; we're going to take equal parts of our yellow — and one scoop of our red. And combine those together to make orange. And the last color we're going to make is purple. Equal parts pink ; equal parts blue; there it is — purple!OK! So now that we have all of our colors mixed we can go ahead and make our little ramuné candies. Let's begin with our little carrot here.So we'll add a little orange in here. It's tricky because the spoon they give you is pretty big. A little green. So we can use the little dowel they gave you to tamp it down.Make sure you really pack it in; otherwise your candy will not take shape. Some pink in there.Orange.Some yellow. And a touch of blue.Really use your thumbs — your fingers — to press the powder in; next, let's do our turtle: I'm going to make his shell green. And then I'll make his body blue.Let's make a primary color dog: let's do yellow, pink, blue. Make sure we fill it all the way to the very, very top.So now that we have all these filled — we're going to invert it — and pop 'em out.Ah! There's our little carrot! Let's get our dog and our flower. Cute! Haha!Okay! So here are the little finished ramuné candies and they turned out pretty well. I'm pretty impressed with how they turned out — the colors mixed well. And, yeah! As long as you pack the ramuné candy powders into the mold, they unmold pretty nicely. But, you have to be very careful, otherwise they will crumble. So, let's give 'em a taste. I'm going to give my little carrot a taste first because it's so stinkin' cute. And because I'm curious to see if the orange tastes like orange. All right. Here we go! (Itadakimasu!)Umm!Tastes great! It has kind of a wet, damp texture to it; but just a little bit crumbly; and nice and tart and tangy; and a little bit gritty; the flavor is not really orange — to me it tastes more like lemon. But it's tasty and delicious! Let's eat the rest of it and see if it tastes like lime.Hmm.... Tastes kind of just fruity. Again, I taste more of the citrus; I taste more of the lemon; and I gues it could be lime...It's pretty good, though. I like it. I'm going to taste the rainbow bunny next. I thought this one turned out really cute. And yeah, let's give it a taste.Mmm!And that was just all of them mixed together: and it just tastes like ramuné candy — kind of bubble-gummy, citrus-y, lemony, and — scrumptious!I love it! I love how these taste. They taste just like ramuné, and the texture is not unpleasant either: it's a little bit damp and crumbly, and — scrumptious!A bit like sweet tarts. Yeah, I must say the mixing is a little bit tedious; it does take some time to get the colors to mix well, and...yeah, it's a Popin' Cookin', so of course it's tedious, but yeah — so that's \"Ka-ra-fu-ru Ra-mu-ne Rando\" made by Kracie, the Poppin' Cooking company. And this reminds me a lot of another ramuné candy making kit that I did a while back — I'll put that link down below. That one didn't make little animals — it made these little kind of cute, fluted pucks. So, if you're interested in that I shall put the link down below.I'm coming up on 500, 000 subscribers! Yay! Super excited! And, in honor of that, I'm going to be doing a question and answer. So, if you have any questions for me just hashtag \"Q&AEmmy\" — and, yeah, leave me a question, and I shall pick my favorites, and do that video for you.Dah, don't forget to \"comment,\" \"like\" and \"subscribe,\" and I hope you guys enjoyed that; I hope you guys learned something; and I shall see you in my next video.Toot-a-loo!
