**My Office Setup: A Tour of My Desk and Ergonomics**
In this video, I'm excited to share my office setup with you, including my desk, ergonomics, and audio equipment. As a YouTuber, I spend most of my time in front of the camera, and it's essential for me to have a comfortable and well-designed workspace.
**My Mouse: The Logitech Ergo m575**
One of the first things you'll notice about my desk is my mouse, which is actually an alternative to my previous MX Ergo I model. For around $40, the Logitech Ergo m575 offers similar functionality without breaking the bank. It's a no-frills mouse that can switch between 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth modes, making it easy to use with multiple devices. If you're unsure about the trackball lifestyle, this is a great option that won't compromise on performance.
**My Keyboard: The Custom KBD75**
I'm currently using a custom KBD75 keyboard that I've damped and upgraded with brass plate switches lubricated with Pryrox 205. It's a beast of a keyboard that offers an incredible typing experience. I've also added the GMK You Do keycap set, which is themed after one of my favorite anime series, adding some cozy vibes to my desk.
**My Desk: The Flexispot E5 Motorized Standing Desk**
My desk is a solid, motorized standing desk from Flexispot, which offers custom modes for sitting and standing. I've also added cable management features to keep the workspace tidy. While it's not the most advanced desk on the market, it gets the job done.
**My Audio Equipment: A Mix of Studio-Grade and Consumer Gear**
When it comes to audio equipment, I have a mix of studio-grade gear and consumer-friendly options. My primary mixing setup is my X Duo 05 basic DAC and amp, which offers high-quality sound with a quarter-inch Jack on the front. The physical metal knob is a nice touch for tactile control. I've also paired it with my trusty Sony MDR-CD900ST studio headphones, imported directly from Japan. These cans are used extensively in Asia for their practicality, durability, and attention to detail.
**Ergonomics: Reducing Eye Strain**
One of the most critical aspects of my office setup is ergonomics. To reduce eye strain, I use a Quintus Screen Linear Light Bar fixed on top of my LG OLED monitor. This brightens up the surface of my desk, making it easier to see and reducing fatigue.
**A Tour of My Workspace**
That's a quick tour of my office setup! Whether I'm working on YouTube videos or just relaxing at home, this space has everything I need to stay comfortable and productive.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enlately I've been making tweaks to my personal office so I figured now's a better time than ever to make a workspace tour featuring some of the stuff I use on The Daily let's talk about it when the M2 Mac Mini came out a few weeks ago I was inspired to rethink my setup definitely check out my video on it for a more in-depth look but the takeaway is that it's one of the best deals Apple has ever offered for a Mac starting at 5.99 but one point of curiosity I had was with the higher end M2 pro model which offers ample power for proper content creation at thirteen hundred dollars but especially comes with an HDMI 2.1 Port allowing it to Output video at 4K 120 hertz those of us that seek fluid motion similar to what we get on Apple's Pro motion displays like on the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro are finally eating good and coincidentally with my old monitor on the brink of failure the stars align for an upgrade that I've been waiting to do for quite some time this is the 42 inch LG C2 OLED TV and it's not too shabby when paired with the M2 Pro oh Mac Mini starting with Aesthetics on the desk it looks very slick with its thin bezels slim profile and it hardly takes up any desk space with its simple set of legs even better that the Mac Mini actually clears the bottom of the TV with ease but how well does it work as a computer monitor I love the excellent picture quality especially in contrast Inky blacks with per pixel dimming makes a big difference compared to LCD the colors are perfect where's your Delta e can you can't tell me Delta e d I can't even do it latency that was once an issue on TVs in the past is non-existent here response time is quick especially aided by that 120 hertz refresh rate via HDMI 2.1 I also appreciate the screen real estate a big screen affords you Mac OS lets you run the 42-inch C2 at 4K and at 100 scale leaving you with plenty of room for activities I find it especially useful editing in Final Cut being able to have everything I need on one screen for easy access actually helps me save some time on top of the convenience use an app like magnet for proper window management and you can really take advantage of all this screen when you think about it 4K is really just 1080p times 4 in a quadrant so instead of having four monitors stitched together with all the bezels you just have one seamless one win win win win however it's not all rainbows and sunshine admittedly these LG oleds are clearly not designed to be used as PC monitors first of all you'll have to optimize the color and sharpness for computer use especially if you plan on using it for Creative work Custom calibration is obviously recommended if possible second the TV is just glossy which makes it tricky with dust fingerprints and sometimes glare in harsh lighting environments but third and probably worst of all requires a bit of an explanation while I think long-term concerns of burn-in are a bit over exaggerated especially with how much better these panels have gotten over the years the issue I have lies in the measures these LG oleds take to prevent said where the most egregious of them all is that the TV automatically dims if it doesn't detect motion within a certain threshold scrolling through web pages or editing video on Final Cut is mostly okay but sometimes it's enough to keep the screen bright however typing up scripts on Google Docs even just for a little bit especially in full screen you'll see the panel dim gradually over a few minutes it is worth mentioning that there's a little hack you can do involving a hidden service menu That's accessible with a special remote but I'm crossed between lazy and stubborn and thus have been living with the issue between both my LG oleds it doesn't drive me insane personally but I'm also very patient which might not be the case for everyone however what really drew me to the C2 OLED is its price name a holiday in the year the Super Bowl Flag Day Christmas oh there is an Easter that's the day that happens every year yeah and they also sell C2 oleds at like 850. come on down for your East ER whatever the case these things are likely on discount I paid 8 ass which makes this one LEDs you can get for your Mac and just in general really okay so we talked a lot about the TV as the focal point of this setup but there are other bits and Bobs that add comfort and convenience to my workflow for example this Thunderbolts Pro dock from OWC provides plenty of i o including two Thunderbolt ports one of which does 85 watt power delivery especially handy for MacBooks there's also DisplayPort 10 gig ethernet which we actually need here in the office to connect to our editing servers and my personal favorite USB a and an SD card reader on the front for easy access now this dock is standard issue here at the overclock media office but it's definitely overkill for most however since the Mac Mini runs everything through the back having a dock like this is very useful luckily if you want something similar to what I have here just without the CF Express slot or 10 gig Ethernet there are plenty of Alternatives that exist at a fraction of the cost peripherals are also key to a setup especially if you find yourself sitting at the desk for hours on end apart from editing I spend a lot of time doing research and typing up scripts for videos subscribe for more so I'm always on the lookout for accessories that not only look good in the setup but also strike a balance between reliability solid feel and comfort that I need for lengthy work sessions I've talked about trackball mice in the past and the Logitech Ergo m575 is a surprisingly good alternative to the MX Ergo I featured on the channel last year nearing half the price at forty dollars it's a no frills mouse that can hop between 2.4 gigahertz and Bluetooth if you plan on using it with multiple devices and it's also an easier pill to swallow if you're unsure that the trackball lifestyle is for you at least without compromise in your budget and at the end of the day it keeps my wrist straight and offers lots of cursor Mobility for those times that my desk my I get a little cluttered all the time for the keyboard I'm using a custom kbd75 that's damped and has a brass plate sandwiched in with glorious Panda switches lubed with prytox 205 additionally I have the gmk you do keycap set that's themed after one of my favorite anime uter Camp adding some cozy Vibes to the desk to the desk the desk there we go one of my favorite aspects about this keyboard is that the whole thing sounds phenomenal typing on it doesn't sound obnoxious but stands out enough to really let you know that an actuation happened especially through headphones between the damping and this cool desk mat I got off Amazon it sounds solid with no pinging or stray sounds the way things should be now since I can't touch type I know Austin can't either we don't home row we just wrote but also because I try to take care of my eyes especially if I'm here late at night I love using the quintus screen linear light bar fixed on top of the LG Olin I actually own a few of these between some setups and simply put they brighten up the surface of your desk to make things easier to see and to reduce eye strain I mean think about it stare at a bright screen in a dark room for too long and you'll get Hella fatigue ambient lighting can help with that and because this is essentially a knockoff of the popular Ben Q design it also costs way less and if I'm honest the the quality of the light is almost there to the real thing my audio setup is not super complicated because at the end of the day the way I mix for YouTube videos is crazy I have an X Duo 05 basic which is a simple DAC and amp with a quarter inch Jack on the front something cool on here I love the physical metal knob on it for tactile control and I have it mounted below my desk for easy access paired to it is my tried and true studio headphone the Sony MDR cd900st imported directly from Japan these are used all over the recording industry in Asia for the practicality durability and crazy amount of detail they resolve all for about 150 bucks but the key feature of these cans is their sound signature while they're neutral enough for professional studio monitoring they also have a slightly warm and colored characteristic that strike a balance between serious and playful my say a well-rounded headphone for both work and Leisure and when you think about it some degree that's kind of what you want when you're mixing for a YouTube video after all a majority of people out there watch YouTube on their phones likely with a pair of earbuds like the airpods pro or Galaxy buds or worst case the goddamn speakers on the phones themselves I mostly listen to YouTube videos on the speaker on my phone same when I'm lying in bed and there's no one around so between an okay pair of speakers like the ones on the c2o lab and my trusty cd900st I've got my bases mostly covered last but not least there's the table the flexispot E5 motorized standing desk nothing fancy here just a solid table top with custom modes you can set for sitting down and standing up and I also have cable management all over to make this thing look as neat as possible though I still have to go in with a comb and really get it buttoned up the future Ken it's not a current problem yeah I know that's that's for uh Canon five weeks now and yeah that's my office setup if there's anything you're curious about from today's video
