The Unboxing Experience: A Six Scale Batman Batwing Model
As I sat down to unbox my six scale Batman Batwing model, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The model, which is part of a limited edition series, has been on my wishlist for quite some time, and I was eager to see it in person. As I began to remove the packaging, I noticed that the model was carefully wrapped in a layer of foam, which helped protect it during shipping.
The first thing that caught my eye was the cockpit. The model features intricate details, including a miniature dashboard with several instruments lit up with LED lights. The lights are subtle yet effective, adding a touch of realism to the model. I also noticed that the cockpit is magnetically attached, allowing for easy removal and display on different surfaces. As I continued to unpack the model, I found a tiny bomb and some extra lines of felt, which are likely used to hold some of the smaller components in place.
As I plugged in the model, the lights came to life, illuminating the cockpit and surrounding areas. The targeting computer articulates, giving the model a dynamic and interactive feel. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail in the model's design, including the subtle gradients on the wings and the metallic finish on the body. It's clear that the manufacturers have put a lot of thought into creating a visually stunning model.
One of the features that really stood out to me was the use of LED lights throughout the model. The flaps come up and down, and there are underlights that add an extra layer of depth to the design. I also noticed that the concrete base has a light control manual flight status, which adds a touch of authenticity to the model.
As I posed the model, I was struck by its sheer size and detail. The cockpit is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of room for the targeting computer and other components. The wings are long and curved, giving the model a sleek and aerodynamic look. I was also impressed by the little missiles that sit on either side of the fuselage – they're tiny but add a touch of realism to the design.
The packaging itself is noteworthy, with a beautifully designed box that showcases the model in all its glory. The instructions are comprehensive, covering everything from assembly and painting to display tips. I was also pleased to see that the model comes with a confirmer plate, which adds an extra layer of authenticity to the design.
As I continued to explore the model, I couldn't help but think about the incredible amount of work that went into creating it. The manufacturers have clearly put a lot of thought and care into every detail, from the paint job to the subtle LED lighting effects. It's clear that this is a true masterpiece, one that will be cherished by collectors for years to come.
One of the most impressive aspects of the model is its sheer size – at six inches in length, it's an imposing presence on any shelf or display surface. And yet, despite its size, the model feels surprisingly agile and dynamic, thanks to the clever use of magnets and LED lights. I was also impressed by the attention to detail in the packaging, which includes a note about the model's origins – did you know that this is one of the first Batwings ever made?
As I finished unpacking the model, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. With its stunning design, intricate details, and impressive size, this six scale Batman Batwing model is sure to be a showstopper in any collection. And with its limited edition status, it's clear that collectors will be clamoring to get their hands on one – if you're lucky enough to snag one, consider yourself incredibly fortunate.
In the end, I was blown away by the sheer quality and attention to detail of this six scale Batman Batwing model. It's a true masterpiece, one that is sure to delight collectors and enthusiasts alike. Whether you're a fan of the DC universe or just someone who appreciates great models, this is an unboxing experience you won't want to miss.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey everybody it is rare that you get to see a Norman Chan in a state of excitement this high out of savages Norm here from tested in the tested offices with an unboxing that you are beside myself and we're doing this here just like you did with the Ecto one that's because the space we needed the space this is too big for my shop oh my gosh uh so of course what you have we have here is the bat wing from 1989 Tim Burton's Batman movie The First Time the Batwing Batman's airplane was shaped like a bat yes and we have met the 1989 yeah so long time viewers of tested me remember we went down to Prop Store where Brandon Ellinger has the one of the I think three he owns he's in his collection one of the three filming Miniatures for the Batwing used for that film which is a quarter scale yeah uh it's gigantic eight foot model they've restored it he had it restored yeah and there was a lot of we talked a lot about the choices and compromises you make or I mean yeah it's it's a it's a process to restore something like that and he did a wonderful job absolutely and the intersection of that with this video is that this this company who makes this called Jazz Inc dioramas they're based on the Netherlands family run business was an official license to make large scale 1 6 scale Vehicles watch our video and then found information from the paint job the geometry to then improve the design of this so we're part of the feedback loop that generated what's in this box they're watching I've always love that I love that we'll include a link to the uh to the conversation with Brandon and shots of his beautiful batwing in the in the description quarter scale batwing there's no way the whole thing fits in here no this is sixth scale so it's gonna be smaller than slightly smaller okay slightly and I think uh the scale of this is something that I I'm not mentally prepared for even a big scale how big this could be so this is six scale this is action Batman action figure 12-inch action figure scale That's it man okay so uh there's a one end of the box which we can pop open okay there we go as we pull that we've got some oh okay yeah there's uh so I'm gonna grab the uh yep uh as we learned from the video we shot with Brandon the bat wing was not designed by Anton first production designer Julian Caldo a illustrator in the UK did the sketches for the Batwing the Batmobile uh the car as they called it the production as well as the utility uh the grapple grapple gun right these are all iconic pieces that for the first time like I didn't realize Batman 1989 was the first time he had the grapple gun it was the first time oh really that Wing was called the bat wing and not the Bat Plane they wow those all seem like such a kind I know existence that I grew up with but I didn't I guess yes all right so you see some ears we see some ears all right here yeah I'm gonna pop this out now Norm I don't want to spoil your fun but there's no wings there I think for shipping purposes this is how they broke it down the wings are actually in the secondary box I really was wondering for a minute all right so uh there is I did a little bit of preparation here this of course came in a bigger shipping box from the Netherlands yeah which came with some packing material now they say use this packing material for support so that we can flip the bat wing upside down all right and late on here so you can pull the foam off the sides yep do that and the same over here great you can start to pull the plastic while I hold on to it got it got it can it be taped on we could probably keep that on there's some good tape there yeah so I got four pieces I'll lay out here and we'll lay that upside down nope uh well I it's uh it's this is gonna go oh yeah yeah so yeah go ahead and pop that I still think it might need to go a little higher there you go you got it that's great oh my God the Coffman just looking at the cockpit getting a sense of the scale yeah yeah it's real there you go there's a can three piece and here comes another canopy piece okay great great great um I don't think that comes out so I think we can have it if I get this a little close to it it um will it sit on here no but but here let's try um let's try like that yeah yeah there it goes that's relatively stable there it goes okay so we're gonna plug on each side plus the power in I'm guessing uh and I think in the packaging so there's three landing gear yes okay the that one didn't actually have landing gear in the film you know if things would crashed in front of the cathedral are you gonna display it with landing gear so they've designed it so the landing gear can be uh wall mounted as well there's a template a drill template and I think that's the way to do it oh nice like so all right want to hand tighten that so I see your drilling template there you go through these three things and it's nice and off the wall now given how big this is I think doing like a moon backdrop would be impractical although that's the dream all right oh so I can flip this over now you can flip this over but we still need oh right so that's just for putting on those we're gonna put the wings on now exactly oh great exactly let's turn this toward you yeah there we go so we can pop this out oh my gosh oh okay I'm getting ahead of ourselves Let's uh grab my box cutter again yeah there you go all right this company Jazz Inc started as just a fan of one sixth scale models doing like dioramas for uh like Ikea bookshelves you know like Star Wars style inside of the Death Star um and then gain popularity gain of following and now they have a license with Warner Brothers to do they've done the Batmobile from the Zack Snyder films oh really one sixth scale so imagine how big that is Justice mobile yeah they've done uh the my Batman 1966 um Adam West Batmobile just for the fun part although I really love the tumbler and um they're doing the Matt Reeves Robert Pattinson that mobile oh so these are the wings now I think there is a bar crossbar somewhere that we push across here that makes sense there's these guys so there's that doesn't go that oh it's right here all right there it goes oh wow structural support so the drooping of course like the Miniatures you've made drooping uh-huh is always a concern oh look at that they're brilliant they've included this black anodized aluminum super strong and I think I've got the left wing here the right hand Wing here all right yeah wait wait I think I think you're I think we're correct I think we are the lights go up front yeah yep yep and there's a it should be a power connector slide that in there are some pegs I see uh-huh so I'm going to plug in so we still need to turn this whole thing upside down yeah uh yes my plug is in and I am yeah and as well I'm gonna plug in the sky oh I know how to do this Norm and those pins are aligned great slot it in here grab oh I got it I got it yep yep and we're gonna put it down upside down and there we go come on there we go oh and those bottom panels hold on with magnets man you know do you know what it takes to engineer something this big yeah these are these These are giant injection molding tools this is non-trivial well the interesting thing is you know a lot of people assume that when you get a license from a studio the studio gives you here's a Dropbox folder full of CAD models or reference pictures that's not the case like a license just means the studio will approve it but it's really on the manufacturer to figure it out to figure out if how accurate they want to be interesting and for something like this and they want to go with as accurate as possible scaling becomes really important they're relying on the community they're relying on people who are the hardcore fans who are going to want to want one of these to know exactly all the Contours and all the dimensions there it goes pop that in and they'll go back and rescale and re redo remodel recap everything and maybe build new tooling if they need to to accuratize it I think these are magnets they are yeah yeah okay all right I'm ready to flip this upside down again um okay here we go I'm gonna move these guys oh my God please let's take a look um that is for over here yep I've got another one you might want to remove that tape there for the Gap Gatling gun for the back at all right and there's one more fin on the top right fin on the top ah found the Top Fin I love this thing yeah the targeting computer it's very uh it must have been influenced by Star Wars you know right right computer when he's going down the trench run very similar thing oh so this pops out and sound the Gatling gun drops into here so you can display with or without that's very neat these guys I don't know what those are where those go do this go over here they do oh there we go magnets oh this magnet thing is really nicely done I must admit and I believe that's the same with the um the balloon the the Batwing for some reason needs to have a balloon Grabber with like the little Milling saw yes and that goes under yes that goes under there oh right and here's the cover for when it's not there but you'll display it with everything in place oh I I don't know I don't think I'll need that one it's nicely painted though there's a little rust on it yeah it's a nice paint job and I think that is also from our video all the that detail on the rust and that little um uh Milling saw um okay all right plug it in wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait let you should put the cockpit back on oh yeah yeah all right we got some little tiny bombs yeah oh yeah yes yep yep and those go plus I I think to hold some stuff in there's some extra lines of felt um there's some oh and there's some uh clear tape that's probably for the the canopy if someone's gonna mount it vertically uh all right um okay are you ready to plug it in yeah let's do it all right all right there must be a switch somewhere oh there it is it's on oh so you got lights in the cockpit a lot of little LED lights got lights on the targeting computer it does articulate oh that's cool and then lights up front there the concrete actually says light control manual flight status that is super pretty the flaps come up flaps too flip up oh and there's under lights oh yeah yeah yeah yeah dude that is one pretty model before we put on the top canopy yeah we brought in you brought in six scale me a tiny atom at six kill I don't have the Batman yet that's coming out the reissue is coming out uh maybe next year but let's see if we can get at him even here with my Iron Man glove and everything do I like my Mr Robot hoodie there we go it's the confirmer does fit I can't believe that fits a six scale figure that's Gray hey a note when you do some painting on this I might you see that reflection off the bottom of the canopy I might go in with paint and paint that surface so it doesn't reflect back to you oh dude dude oh my gosh it looks great well that's the first time I've ever sat in a Batwing I love the lights are bouncing off your face yeah that is really really nice looking um hang on I'm just gonna I'm gonna pose me a little better there we go foreign also magnetically attached each one that's wonderful which ones the little missiles oh really oh they just sit in there that's great and Boop no way I really appreciate their magnet use I'm just getting all the bags off of the what a wonderful design yes batwing I mean this is a vehicle that like just showed up the finale of the movie yeah right you saw you had the incredible Batmobile and then they wanted to have this incredible aerial sequence and the fact that back then they built all those Miniatures for real for real one quarter scale they had a two foot model for the crash scene uh the miniaturist the Derek meding who supervised it you you can see the the gradients here yeah yeah it seems like they were inspired by yeah by the real thing absolutely um and this is really true that this is the first time a bat plane was shaped like a bat first time about I mean and since then they've gotten more aggressive oh of course they have right but the fact that this is It's the logo well and I really specifically that beautiful moment when it's silhouetted against the moon before dropping into action that was the the uh the cover of the cassette tape I've also seen a lot of lit cockpits and this is uh this is high on my list like this is gorgeous there's three instruments there's actually three dial instruments that are lit up a whole bunch of little LEDs which look like light pipes just perfect amount of lighting and dimming plus you can I love the fact that you can bring the targeting computer out in front of the eyes oh man that's great you know I you got to get the Alfred and put that in there the Michael golf yes oh amazing bat wing from jazzing dioramas uh this is a project they've been working on for over two years it's sold out only two years well yeah I mean every single one of these is a different tool every I mean it's just a crazy amount of work and they've got felt here to helping hold these in so you may want to add some more of that to uh when you hang this thing damn it damn it's gorgeous it's so beautiful uh there's a wait list and it's so it's not out of the question of someone out there really wants to pick one up they can sign up for the waitlist oh the link is in the description description one six scale Vehicles actually once it's on the wall putting in Batman in there's not gonna be too hard yeah Adam was sitting there for now until Batman arrives thank you so much for uh joining me for this unboxing dude that is thrilling let's get some beauty shots so gorgeous foreignhey everybody it is rare that you get to see a Norman Chan in a state of excitement this high out of
