**Unboxing TMI's Custom Interior Upgrade**
As we continue our journey to modify and upgrade our beloved Smurf, we're excited to share with you a special bonus video featuring TMI's custom interior upgrade. This is a game-changer for any Mustang enthusiast looking to take their ride to the next level.
**A Quick Introduction**
Before we dive into the unboxing process, I just want to announce that I'll be attending Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach this year, and I'll be at TMI's booth where they'll have some of their latest and greatest custom interior upgrades on display. If you're planning to attend, make sure to stop by and check out the TMI team's work. It's going to be a fantastic time, and I'm really excited to see what they've got in store.
**The Upgrade Process**
So, how does the upgrade process work? Well, TMI takes your stock seats and doesn't just remove them completely. Instead, they use a special frame that fits inside the seat, which allows you to reupholster the entire thing yourself. This means you get new foam, new fabric, and everything else, all while keeping the original seat structure intact. It's a really cool process, and one that we'll be diving into in more detail later.
**Unboxing the Goods**
With the upgrade process explained, let's take a closer look at what we've got to work with here. As you can see, TMI has sent over some amazing pieces of upholstery, complete with Grabber blue stitching and a range of other custom details. The first thing that catches my eye is the rubber grommets that they've included – these are going to add an extra level of depth and detail to the interior.
**Taking a Closer Look**
Let's take a closer look at some of the individual components, starting with the back seat. As you can see, this is where things get really interesting. The TMI team has included a range of special features, including rubber grommets and custom stitching. It's clear that they've put a lot of thought into every detail, from the placement of the grommets to the design of the stitching.
**The Front Seats**
Moving on to the front seats, we can see that TMI has included a range of similar features – including suede inserts in the middle and leather accents. The metal rods are also included, which will be used to hold the upholstery in place during the installation process. This is one of the things that I'm most excited about – the fact that you'll need these special tools to complete the job.
**Additional Details**
As we take a closer look at the seats themselves, we can see some really nice details – including the leather and suede inserts. The TMI team has also included some extra goodies, such as hog rings and hog ring pliers, which will be used during the installation process. These are essential tools that you won't want to do without.
**Conclusion**
And there you have it – a first look at TMI's custom interior upgrade for our beloved Smurf. We're really excited about what we've seen so far, and we can't wait to get started on the installation process. Stay tuned for more updates from Mustang Week, where we'll be sharing some behind-the-scenes footage of the installation process. And don't forget – if you're planning to upgrade your own interior, make sure to check out TMI's range of custom upgrades.
**A Final Word**
Finally, I just want to say thank you to the folks at TMI for supplying us with these amazing pieces of upholstery. We're really excited about what they've brought to the table, and we can't wait to see how it all comes together. If you're as stoked as we are, be sure to let us know in the comments below – and don't forget to like and subscribe for more content from our channel. Until next time, take it easy and have a fantastic day!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enyou guys really thought I was done with this thing yeah me too I really thought I was what's up everybody David here for a quick little bonus video and as you see here we're going to play what's in the box again except it's probably pretty predictable this time so with the 240 getting some love with the new seats in it I figured what about the Mustang I've kept the same stock interior since day one it is a base model interior it does not get any more boring than that it's cloth it's simple and it works which I like however the folks from TMI products decided that we should spice up the interior Smurf some now before I get started I just want to announce that I am going to be at Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach at least for the show I'm going to be tmi's booth car so hopefully I see you there I'm really excited it's been a while since I've been back at Mustang week and it should be a really good time TMI what they do is they take your stock seats so you don't take them out completely basically you it's not like if you were to switch into raros or coros or sparkos or what have you you use the stock frame of the seats themselves which is really really cool so by doing this you have to reupholster the seat yourself so this is going to be really interesting but I at least wanted to unbox to show you what they looked like before you adapt it to the old seat so you get new foam you get new everything else so let's open this up I'm excited this should be a lot easier than last time cuz I'm not a I have both wrists this time well that was a that was a dumb strategy all right here we go all right look at that all right cool so this all right cool so this is what the back seat is going to look like quite a difference isn't it so you have kind of rubber grommets in there you have Grabber blue stitching it's pretty awesome really really good custom work if you look at that let's grab one of the front seats I can get it okay there we go all right check that out so that is what the top of the seat is going to look like so here's the bottom of it so going like this so there you have it so that's basically what one of the front seats looks like without the upholstery inside it uh there's no foam obviously or anything like that but you take this you take that and this goes in the back seat so it completes the interior all the way around so you're not going to have like a really normal looking back seat and then two really nice front seats you got to balance it out it's got to be a complete package but I could be happier you have suede in the middle these suede inserts right here and then the really really nice leather it also comes with some bracket stuff I think that's for the headrest I might be wrong and of course your extra seats you have metal rods I think that's to basically hold upholstery in place um that's actually really good cuz I was afraid that I was going to have to go buy some of this stuff and then go cut it up cuz you do need Steel Rod to install the seats I also need to get hog rings and hog ring pliers and a few other tools like that before the install so it's definitely going to be a really new experience the other seat gently going through everything oh yeah awesome so here's one of the rear headrest so you know do rag it why' I just do that please Don't Judge Me actually you know what go ahead I don't care that's everything oh man I'm excited so huge huge shout out to TMI for supplying these beautiful pieces of upholstery I cannot be more excited to see what they look like inside the car and thankfully you'll be able to see them at Mustang week if you're going to be there however the installation process is going to be pretty intense so I'll definitely make sure to have a video tutorial about that because I'm going to be learning about upholstery at the same time you are so it's going to be a lot of fun so yeah I guess uh we're back to modifying the Smurf again I'm pretty confident it's going to go well and thanks so much guys for watching this quick little bonus video I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you're excited about the seats as much as I am and see what kind of progress we can make anyways guys thank you so much for watching this video and I will see you guys next time take it easy have a fantastic dayyou guys really thought I was done with this thing yeah
