Introduction
Hello everyone and welcome to this video where we'll be track testing and off-road testing the 2015 Subaru Outback 2.5 I Limited. This is an SUV from Subaru featuring a 2.5 liter boxer four-cylinder producing 175 horsepower, which we'll be comparing to other models such as the Ford Edge, Jeep Cherokee, Kia Sorento, and Nissan Murano.
Drawbacks of the 2015 Subaru Outback
The 2015 Subaru Outback was lacking in performance against the competition, although there is a six-cylinder offered. What it lacked in performance it made up for in practicality. The Subaru was significantly cheaper and more fuel efficient than the competition. It was also the lightest weight of the group, offering plenty of cargo space depending on the trim. It can tow up to 3,000 pounds.
Performance Test
The performance test took place on an abandoned airstrip with comfortable seats that were pretty wide and had a decent amount of cushioning. Checking visibility out the front and rear was great, with pretty much great visibility all around. Checking blind spot was good, so everything about this as far as visibility is quite good. There was a large storage area with a removable tray, cupholders to fit a phone nicely, and a good storage compartment up front that was pretty intuitive and simple to use. The climate control system was also pretty good, along with the infotainment system, which had an upgraded touchscreen. There were controls on the steering wheel and paddle shifters mounted to it.
Acceleration Testing
The 2015 Subaru Outback performed well in acceleration testing, not having much torque overall compared to other models like the Mazda CX-5. However, we popped the car into reverse and it was very quick for a parking test. We visited our friend Herman the dinosaur who had been hanging out there all day, imagining he's getting quite bored with great visibility with this rear view camera that looked to be high-definition, so good resolution to it.
Slalom Testing
The 2015 Subaru Outback went on to the slalom testing where we tried to get to about 25 lots of tire spin and lots of understeer. However, it seemed to do okay through that. The break test showed a lot of pedal vibration from the ABS kicking in but it's not very strong. The understeer was pretty good as you could see.
Off-Road Testing
So now let's get into off-road testing. BEC has eight point seven inches of ground clearance, which is more than most traditional SUVs have. Yes, we know we cross Everton so we've got the ground clearance fifteen. It also has X mode a little o that tailors the works of the CVT to bring you a little bit of torque down a little bit lower and a little more accessible. It also tailors the traction and stability control system for high slip environment, okay, it also adds senior hill descent control which is pressure not going downhill here but so you wouldn't have to use the pedals or just let go of the brake, you would just let the car comes down at the very low speed.

The 2015 Subaru Outback has a lot of features that make it a capable vehicle off-road. With its eight point seven inches of ground clearance and X mode a little o, it can handle rough terrain with ease. The traction and stability control system is also designed to work well in high slip environments, making it a great choice for those who need a reliable vehicle for off-road adventures.
