**A Closer Look at the Razer Black Widow Chroma Stealth Edition Keyboard**
When it comes to gaming keyboards, there are many options available on the market, but not all of them stand out from the crowd. The Razer Black Widow Chroma Stealth Edition keyboard is one such device that caught my attention with its unique features and customizable lighting system.
One of the standout features of this keyboard is its custom effect where you can pick any color for any key on the keyboard. This really makes it nice because you can customize it to any way you want with any color, but they also have templates on the side which highlights certain keys in certain games like FPS and MOBAs. They also have game templates like Counter-Strike, DOTA, League of Legends, Starcraft, and other ones that you can download which highlights the main Keys you'll be using in the game. This feature is particularly useful for gamers who want to focus on specific keys during gameplay.
Another impressive feature of this keyboard is its reactive typing effect. You pick a color and whatever keys you press will light up for a longer, medium, or short amount of time. I find this effect to be really nice because it reacts to whatever you type, which is perfect for streaming or making videos. This effect is probably my favorite one that I've seen on any keyboard.
Next up is the Spectrum cycling feature, which cycles through all the colors of the 16.8 million color LED lights inside the keyboard. It's a pretty nice feature that really takes advantage of the LED lights to create a mesmerizing display. Then there's static, which allows you to change the entire keyboard to one static color any color of your choice. There's also wave, which is everybody's familiar and famous rainbow effect. You can cycle through these effects easily using the software provided.
**Performance and Feel**
Honesty-wise, I wasn't a big fan of the clicky tactile keyboards because that gets annoying and when I'm streaming or something, I don't like to hear that constant clicking sound. However, this Stealth keyboard is very similar to the MX Cherry Red switches, which are very silent and smooth to the touch. Something I really like about these switches is how quiet they are.
To demonstrate this, I'll do a little sound test for you guys so you can hear how these silent switches sound. Then, I'll also show you the switches in the green Kailh switches and how they sound. This comparison will give you an idea of how much better the Stealth keyboard's switches are compared to other keyboards.
**Overall Impression**
All in all, I'm really impressed with the Razer Black Widow Chroma Stealth Edition keyboard. If I had to pick a kind of downfall, I'm not really a fan of the matte black finish because it kind of shows fingerprints and grease, but honestly, you can wipe that off it's not a big deal. But I like to have seen it made from a higher quality brush aluminum material.
One thing that I'm a huge fan of is the included five macro keys and even more so the included headphone and microphone jack and extra USB slot on the right side. These features are really great additions that many other keyboards could learn from.
**Is It Worth the Price?**
So, is it worth the $169? Hands down, yes! If you're a big Razer fan, this keyboard will be perfect for you with the macro keys and having the choice to pick between their green K switches and silent switches. This flexibility is a huge bonus for me because I'm not a fan of Blue switches but they are very tactile and clicky and some people like that a lot.
In conclusion, if you want a keyboard that really takes advantage of the LED lights inside, this one is the best option hands down right now. With its customizable lighting system, macro keys, headphone and microphone jack, and extra USB slot, it's clear that Razer has put a lot of thought into creating a top-notch gaming keyboard.
**Final Thoughts**
That's my general update on my thoughts and opinions on the Razer Black Widow Chroma Stealth Edition keyboard. I want to thank Razer for sending me out this keyboard because like I said earlier, I'm not a big fan of the green switches but the stealth edition is much better fits me a lot more.
