Honoring the Patron Saint of Waffles and Lady Friends: A Galentine's Day Celebration

As we gather here today, I'm Jenny and I'm joined by my friend Liz to honor our patron saint, Leslie Knope, the beloved character from Parks and Recreation. Valentine's Day is just around the corner, but for us, it's all about celebrating our friendship with a special holiday called Galentine's Day. According to Leslie, Galentine's Day is the best day of the year, and we can't get enough of breakfast, waffles, and work – or waffles and work, whichever way you choose! The three most important things in life are interchangeable, and we're excited to mix it up a little bit with this fun project.

To start, we've made adorable waffles on a stick, which will be topped with chocolate, sprinkles, and other fun treats. We'll also tie cute gift tags to each one, making them the perfect presents for our lady friends. Our waffle maker is already filled with mix, and we're adding about two tablespoons of batter to each square. We want to keep it simple today, so we're using a pre-made mix instead of making our own from scratch. We add the waffle batter to the maker, and then pop them into the oven at 250 degrees while we make some more levels.

While our waffles are baking, we have our short wooden skewers ready to use as sticks for each waffle pop. We're using a sharp end to put into the waffle, which makes it look like a tiny little puffed pastry. The result is a delicious and adorable treat that's sure to impress. Now that our waffles are almost done, we can start decorating! We have three different kinds of colors and melted candy melts at our disposal, along with lots of sprinkles and crushed-up cookies for added fun. This is the part where we get to let our creativity shine – it's my favorite part of the process!

As we flip our waffles over to decorate the other side, we'll add a block of chocolate to each one. We want to make sure everything looks as delicious as possible, so we're taking our time and making sure each piece is perfect. Once our waffles are decorated, we'll let them dry completely before packaging them up in cellophane bags. We'll tie some ribbon around the top for a cute touch, and then add some food to go along with each gift.

As we finish up our Galentine's Day treats, I have to say that they're absolutely adorable! The cutest waffle pops you've ever seen, if I do say so myself. And the best part? delicious oh yeah oh they are you know friends don't let friends serve soggy waffles this is totally true for this project you want your office as crispy as possible this will help them stay on the stick and they can also be packaged and given this again yeah so we're going to pop these into the oven at 250 degrees while we make some more levels so these are some short wooden skewers we're using the sharp end to put into the waffle this is what makes them into puffs so we have the cutest little water box I'm so adorable I think we're ready to decorate now so excited this is my far the most so now we're gonna flip them over and decorate the other side's block of chocolate for each walking we are not being stood Junior so we just need to let these dry completely and then we're going to pack up we're going to package these in cellophane bags tie them up with some food for them and add some mint acts all right so I'm just going to trim up the cellophane bag stick a little do you really cut some ribbon for here yes I would love that teamwork makes the dream work sure leslie knope talks about teamwork somewhere oh sure Jenny's adding some gift tags she is the best handwriting of anyone I know I think it's about 60% that way I have a dog here actually 60 to 75 for 65 75 first year winning personality is obviously like five solid five percent gosh these are the cutest and I
