JAY LENO EMBARRASSES DAMON ON DAILY DRIVIN EXOTICS WITH 72,000 MILE LAMBORGHINI COUNTACH …
The Art of Exotic Car Enthusiasm: A Conversation with Jay Leno
In a rare moment of candid conversation, Jay Leno shared his thoughts on exotic cars, including the iconic NSX. As a well-known car enthusiast and owner of numerous high-performance vehicles, Leno's passion for speed and style is evident in every word.
"I like the NSX," Leno began, "it's nice." This straightforward response belies the complexity and nuance that lies beneath his words. When asked about his favorite cars, Leno revealed a deep affection for his Lamborghini Countach, which he proudly claimed was his "baby." The Countach, with its sleek design and powerful engine, is a car that few can resist.
Leno's love affair with exotic cars began at an early age, when he first laid eyes on the Lamborghini Miura. "I've been driving it since 1987," he recalled, "it's got 450 horsepower, which is like a base Corvette." This comparison is telling, as Leno's appreciation for power and performance is evident in his choice of cars.
One of the unique aspects of Leno's car collection is his approach to owning multiple vehicles. Unlike many enthusiasts who focus on one or two cars, Leno has amassed an impressive array of exotics, including ESPadas, Lamborghinis, and even a Koenigsegg CCXR. When asked about his strategy for managing such a diverse collection, Leno joked that he simply "alternate between cars."
Leno's dedication to his craft is evident in the countless hours he spends fine-tuning and maintaining each of his vehicles. From updating transmission software to installing new shocks, Leno is meticulous in his approach, always seeking to improve performance and reliability.
One of the most interesting insights into Leno's car obsession came when he revealed that he had experienced premature failure due to poor maintenance. "Don't park it with the wing up," he warned, "it keeps the system under pressure, which can cause premature failure." This cautionary tale highlights Leno's commitment to his craft and his willingness to share his expertise with others.
As our conversation drew to a close, Leno surprised us by revealing that he had driven one of his cars – a Lamborghini Countach – all the way down an alley in Beverly Hills. "He bailed down the alley," Leno chuckled, "lucky coffee." This anecdote showcases Leno's playful and carefree approach to car ownership.
In the end, Jay Leno's enthusiasm for exotic cars is infectious, and his love of speed and style is palpable. Whether discussing his favorite vehicles or sharing tips for maintenance, Leno's passion is evident in every word. As we wrapped up our conversation, it was clear that he was still deeply invested in the world of exotics, always seeking to push the boundaries of what is possible behind the wheel.
And so, as we bid farewell to Jay Leno, we can't help but be inspired by his commitment to his craft and his love of speed. Whether you're a fellow car enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of exotic vehicles, Leno's story is sure to delight and entertain.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys jay leno and his nsx what's up gentlemen is this your lambo this is we have a bunch of cars not quite at the level of you guys do not want ladies and gentlemen welcome back to another episode of daily driven exotics on today's episode we have some tasks we have to accomplish in order to achieve the bigger goal one of those is dave's huracan with the twin turbos 1500 wheel horsepower definitely needs a wheel makeover these are some very old brixton forged wheels that i had on my old huracan the tire slayer during its uh what would you call that camo phase like yeah kind of camo we're still going back to the camera anyhow these were the only wheel option we had at the time i'm gonna go ahead and kind of coin this as the official daily driven exotics drag car for the time being this car is gonna need probably a better setup of rubber right now we got a mix match set of rubber on there so we're gonna go and get some new rubber today or hunt for some new rubber and we're also looking to get a new set of wheels which we're going to go and visit our friends at al-13 i called darwin darwin's down to talk about what we could put on the car different size combinations to fit and accommodate a better rubber for drag racing specifically the 6m5 lt is going to go to protective film solutions and we're going to talk wraps designs colors and what we could potentially make the 6m5 lt look like and potentially that's going to require even giving this car a new set of wheels or changing the color of these so we also got our boy dan back in the vlog dan are you coming with us today he brought his beautiful jdm car look at this you guys now if you've never seen a car like this in this color this is the laguna seca blue from bmw this is e46 m3 laguna seca blue epic dad bought the car brand new this you have an amazing story we'll need to tell it in a minute for sure right now we just got to go drive let's go let's go to pfs oh yeah what do we got going on here oh we got calms calm's in the house hey dave what color are you going to wrap your card i was thinking a different shade of yellow oh it's different no no we just left the hotel like two blocks you know that car's not warmed up see me babying oh that's a big bump baby oh dave getting after it just roll first after it launch control that is what we call the 50 meter dash ladies and gentlemen always making an entrance here protect the films no one needs coffee when you got an svj nobody needs pot where am i going to park dave what's your problem david 2022 dave's a new man yelling demands it's a beautiful day with beautiful palm trees for some reason you're new to the channel welcome i love palm trees obsessed with them something fun about dan's car is that this is a family heirloom so explain this this is a family heirloom what's going on here dad bought this new and you remember driving this as a kid 100 is the first time i actually learned how to drive a car was on his lap and he ended up doing the clutch pedal i was about four years old and i was putting the gears in and out and this is what i learned to drive on so when i was 16 fast and furious came out i saw this was driven by letty the kooky version i said i got to have this thing and he uh handed it down to me to have fun with you guys bought this brand new i got the receipt in the trunk the thing about cars a lot of the time that we all love and appreciate is the story so whether you're buying it used and it's got a weird quirky story or a story like this where family heirloom like legit my dad's lauren can't go on here no you're good dude okay so my dad's larry lawrence cohen i grew up in plainsboro new jersey yeah east coast he bought this from holdem and nissan thank you to darren shell the sales associate back in the fall of 1994 and my dad traded in an 86 nissan stanza made the right choice let's just all confirm right now dan's dad made the right choice so it's got a built motor fully built turbo yep fully built turbo uh full forwards internals brian crower tome cp pistons now you're flexing dde oh so what about power you just got it tuned what does it mean um on e85 it put down 419 to the wheels and 390. all the smoke 393 torque this is cool man it's a four-cylinder it's really cool andrew molina out of animal auto in corona as a wizard that held up the whole thing you guys saw jimmy the other night in his r32 skyline two stepping oh that was that's his unit his buddy but he had his car with two at the same time that car had 800 horsepower of that he would smoke like this r32 is fast this is a beautiful color but we're here protective film solutions so we're going to wrap it as dave would say a different shade of blue need some love it needs something today so it needs your tag to be tough rip it out strip it out i got you you don't rip it out there's no talking yeah we love having anthony back on the channel right brother oh yeah how do you do it like this whoa betty cannon buy my own confetti cannon the best part is our rent here is up in one week not my problem all right we are now in the design house with brian what's up homie this is the gentleman that sits here and designs a lot of the custom one-off wraps here protect the film solutions and since we're talking about dave getting a wrap on the 675lt we are looking at what 650s yeah i like the race deliveries that's my favorite oh solid color where you got that from uh copy my best friend um anthony oh no moving on but thank you lewis hamilton that's a good buddy of mine well there you go that would actually be that would actually be a good representation if you wanted it that's actually a cool color scheme what are you thinking for colors talk to us i like uh green i like blue i don't like pink or anything silly uh that's cool look at this i like that what do you think castro colors boys it's pretty cool you guys got a comment below yeah what are your thoughts orange is always cool pretty cool that's cool because you can do the wheels you can make the wheels a different color we got a lot of options here gotta love the internet click on that oh that's pretty cool that is pretty cool so we got to come up with a color scheme for the 6m5 lt and then we're going to get brian here to customize it make it a one-off for daily driven exotics what are we looking at for a timeline right now realistically actually no jokes aside what jokes says next week next week jason make it happen i guess it depends you have to pick it if it's like really simple oh click this oh that's fun that's fine oh dude that's sick that's nice this is the front oh yeah oh yeah can we do that let's say we wanted this one how long would that take to design like the actual hours yeah couple of minutes man copy and paste copy and paste okay well 12 30 now i guess when we get lunch come back and do this yeah let's go let's go let's go bye dan off to al-13 let's make some wheels by the way i'm glad that you picked that livery it's gonna look amazing you guys are gonna have to stay tuned to see what he picked we have to get some new wheels made and i'll give you a little hint the wheels will be different colors on either side of the car good personality you two lovebirds go in that car you guys with me now we have a 28 minute drive to al-13 in anaheim we're also in anaheim well disneyland which i've never been to sadly maybe we should do like a dd grouping that'll be cool why did it break again one of the coolest parts about being in california especially in this area is my whole life i bought in car parts we never know where they came from who made them the backstory this is a website you get a box and it's cool you're down you actually go to manufacture and see the process and the entry and all the work goes into it it makes it that much more special to actually get that product so it's pretty cool we can bring that to you guys and show you kind of behind the scenes of how to make an actual forged wheel or a turbo kit or what have you another thing i love about this car now that i'm talking about my car a little bit in this episode is the pops and bangs because they sound very mechanical and random and like you know things are happening in pistons and rings and just mayhem whereas like the earth i had for a little while by the way there was a guy i sold it look at that in a minute uh the pumps and bags were cool but always on the same like it's a two program to literally do the exact same pops the same sequence which i don't really like i like it being more like i don't know random and crazy now yeah i got rid of the urus um honestly you guys like suv wise for me personally i like an suv to be an suv like a jew wagon or a nest something that's like a bit more tough and rugged with a solid frame that you can go off-roading in the earth is super cool it's basically a big wagon in a lot of ways it doesn't suit my needs for my family for my kids not a lot of room in it so i got rid of it and that's why i'm getting another suv soon you probably guess what it is but uh it's one that i i've had before i loved and it may have crashed into a fence one time not the same one not the exact same one but one like it a little bit newer stay tuned for that great new me no time to waste lick them in your seattle plate welcome back to al-13 wheel manufacturer for many of the top brands that you guys have heard and love and know and they've decided to make their own wheel brand which makes sense totally called al-13 which is just the periodic table for aluminum if you didn't know makes me sound number thirteen you're smart you went to college didn't you you're the only educated person in this whole entire vlog ask me how i'm living i'm telling them great oh that's cool yeah that's a crazy effect you look at it hey what's going on here boys all right so these are wheels these gentlemen made for alex for his her con at gintanius twin turbo these are not oem sizes so explain explain to me what you did i mean it's the smallest diameter you can run so it's an 18 inch fitment that's an 18 on the front correct all four corners all four so all four corners are 18 yeah and then you put a bigger tire on there correct so that it obviously the overall rotating is the same the computer doesn't freak out i gotta give credit to alex because that's all hands he figured it all out yeah developed that fitment and everything for the huracan to specifically track the vehicle did he say it worked fine and didn't have any issues yeah i tested it i believe up to like 220 miles an hour that's enough it's pretty fast that's pretty good can we get these made and number two i wonder if they have the can we get these tires they are all four corners the same tire no they're difficult yeah he's running uh toyo's and then mickey thompson oh really oh wow yeah toyota are triple h8rs not make a rear to go with that i don't think in that size i mean the rear it's a 345 it's not a common tire it's wider yeah if you guys don't know huracan tires are a 245 30 20 in the front and a 305 30 20 in the rear he's talking a what a three uh it's a 245 still in the front but it's a 345 and it's one 45 that's a lot wider super wood and on your car right now i had a look instead of a 305 it's got a 325 so they're trying to accomplish kind of the same thing the issue we have is that 3m wasn't built for that so now we have a very oversized tire on the rear which looks stupid we have a very small standard huracan tire on the front which looks stupider and then we have a set of wheels that are really really old that are bronzed and chewed up that i used to have from brixton that you guys actually made which i'm sure are still the integrity of them are fine we could if we wanted to be cheap and lazy we could refinish them but i like this because that is like a dragster car my issue is that car has to be leaving wednesday to go up to the races with saturday sunday two days in the middle could you bang a set of wheels out by tuesday i'll have to confirm it's really if we have the four jeans too an 18 with this type of a setup bigger rubber or we could do something that just fits like our triple hours on all four corners what tires do you have right now the x-comp but their tire is not meant for drag racing yeah it's like a performance tire like to go to the tracker to be driven really on the road and they're great we i honestly love them like they work amazing on the svj and all that sort of stuff if you want them to slip you just over inflate them but we want to go fast and we don't want to we want to provide grip cars got 1500 wheel horsepower so yeah we need some wheels that are going to accommodate like putting at a minimum our triple hours on all four corners i know they don't make the proper huracan size to fit the wheels so i got an idea since it's crunch time yeah he has an idea because it's punch time so we can reuse your 20 inch tires since you have them already okay each time we got these fronts this is our r30 race design 10 spoke two four six eight ten yeah i can still count i like these are they heavy no not at all dude good for you dude you know they're like yeah we just want probably satin black finish dave has a red caliper all right such a red on the center cap so that has to be done by tuesday today is friday today's friday is it five days just indeed we have two fronts so you have to cut the rears we'll have to machine your rear brand new rears can we make it so that the wheel will look better like i was suggesting or not suggesting i was asking about the tire like the tire in that photo it looks wonky you see that sticks i lost that with the wide tire the fronts weren't too too bad but the rears look really weird that covers one car we also have these 675lt on this one right now on this spot we actually do need another set of wheels and they're going to be two different colors one side's going to be one color and the other side of the car will be guess what a different color okay we have more time on that one maybe like a week on that if these guys make it happen al-13 triple pound triple fisting every time i come here it's crazy to see how much stuff they got going on between the materials the machines the employees it's a lot i'm gonna leave before my head explodes thank you to al-13 we're gonna have some race prepped wheels specifically for dave's huracan twin turbo so we can go destroy everything i think if we do this series of drag racing basically modded supercars against stock bought hyper cars gonna have to call the series built versus bot or bot versus built no it'd be it'd be bot versus build because it'd be them versus the built car and we take dave's huracan we destroy everything that's worth millions of dollars and wow at those wealthy people who made bad bad financial decisions yeah right i don't know those cars keep going up in value so empty shut your mouth okay i like nike that's the other guy but clean up your style game percy of dave dd's frunk ready the pile of hoodies there i want you to grab those all and give them to your homeboys you can't hit leather jacket that's my skoomba jacket grab them got them all i love you got them all keep going keep going keep going too much no that's good watch the chin there sorry jesus can't do this guy anywhere also your girlfriend was sure it's not going to go and you want me to give this to you thank you yeah spent all the cheese what i did to you the back earlier but i guess not that was a good lunch boys i feel phenomenal big portion i feel full yeah if you're really hungry and you want a lot of value this is a good place to come now we're to l.a we're going to the land of the dirty yeah yeah i'm telling you la got pretty pretty rugged over the last couple of years really yeah i noticed even beverly hills got a little gangster baby i'm a gangster too just cut the scene there get it get it quick little pump on the carbon fiber body panels with both cars no big deal over here don't worry about that i'll buy a new one with your credit card okay you read that 36 minute delay on the five restaurants which saves night oh yeah yeah i think i think i'll take it i'll take it i want it i want to know and we are back in beverly hills it's home of dde unofficially actually canadian that makes no sense so a lot of time here especially in late 2019 pretty sure we were here probably five days a week probably worked here at espresso at one point a little part-time work where's damon damon's inside this restaurant he's taking a dump noisy pooping yeah look at a lot lately yeah like his new new diet right it's like 500 times a day i know he's a little rabbit time to get a coffee and figure out what the rest of the night is going to look like it's definitely coffee time after that big lunch we had i was driving i was not literally falling asleep but emotionally what we got always in the grind hey guys jay leno and his nsx that's it there you go car guys jay is a cool dude totally copy time odds are we'll see jay uh sunday morning at the malibu carson coffee okay let's go get a coffee where's jay going he thinks you're leaving i'm not you know what jay not today yeah it's right here i'm gonna be like jay it's a late night in it and it's joking is that a sexist yeah it's really cool i wonder how much he likes it i wonder if he'll tell us for 60 seconds unless he's in a room then i won't bug him may make a phone call that's what i would do but i do wonder what his thoughts are on the nsx considering he has a few cars to compare to how many cars do they have hundreds there's like warehouses in burbank gentlemen what's up how do you like the nsx it's nice okay i i did some work you you don't mind that first half we're vloggers we film we see at craft shows but we never bug you because you're always wow you're surrounded by everybody what are you blogging today uh we're from just like our typical day that's the very first one actually in north america yeah that's car number three the first of a lot of stuff you know it's very good it's the best made car driven beautifully built is this your lambo this is we have a bunch of cars not quite at the level of you we have 13 you probably have 1300 huh no no but no no good very nice yeah are those all sponsors on there this is our brand daily driven exotics oh okay so youtube god i got a couch at 70 000. i've been driving it since 87 wow yeah yeah that is the coolest thing ever no it's nothing it's 450 horse that's like a base corvette that's one wheel on that car yes i know enjoy your night thanks jay how cool is it 70 000 on a countach wow so jay's a lambo guy i kind of knew that he felt like a lambo guy i think all the other cars are just like for sure jay has yeah it's just because lambo doesn't make enough cars where they'd be all in that boat he knows the life hack hazards means you don't pay for parking it'll just be a minute if we talk about something for a minute jay leno is just out getting some food for him and his wife thank you what's good which also means jay leno just doesn't know it but he is daily driven exotics he is the lifestyle because what did he take to go get food for the family supercar a supercar it's pretty cool jay we'll let you in the club you just have to apply and you know we'll we'll look at your application you could drive around in seconds yeah you probably drive around in third and it'll be a lot more smooth well i've got the old i've got the old lambos i've got they've updated the transmission shipping software and yesterday yeah yeah it's nightly different i got two espadas and two mirrors and the kunta and i just like shifting you know it's just me too i love career gt manual man yeah okay in that great car they're crazy i love it 2005.05 yeah uh seal gray terracotta interior yeah mine is great too terracotta that's what i got did you uh are you still on the original shock uh yes i also have not so funny in mind i just alternate between cars and one day i'm driving through and bam i'm hitting i'm hitting um all the shocks on the cdc are the worst and i went what's wrong with this car and i just parked it for like a year i just enjoyed it and i'm bringing in i put new shocks in it and oh my god i love it now it's like a brand new car this is yeah i lost like five percent every six months you know what i mean so you don't notice it don't ever park it with the wing up because it's a hydraulic system so if you park it with the wing up which looks cool it keeps the system under pressure it can cause premature failure all right not a place you want premature failure don't want free guys do not want free control thanks guys see you around thanks jay take care by the way i love that you came in a supercar to get your food you're like you're representing the brand without even knowing that's the wrong way yeah see notice the arrows over here oh no there's a car coming this this oh my god this yeah dude happens beverly hills all the time zero thanksgiving right now oh he bailed down the alley lucky coffee coffee in the vlog okay guys the vlog's over seeing the next one the next one's a big one don't miss it smash the subscribe button peace sometimes he just looks at me doesn't say a word he goes like this i didn't want to disturb the uh the monologue he was delivering to you guys monologue wow get back in there see if you get your head back under there get your head back in there anthony is well hydrated i have to say it always has water look at that he stuck those in there we are well hydrated because he takes care of me okayhey guys jay leno and his nsx what's up gentlemen is this your lambo this is we have a bunch of cars not quite at the level of you guys do not want ladies and gentlemen welcome back to another like it being more like i don't know random and crazy now yeah i got rid of the urus um honestly you guys like suv wise for me personally i like an suv to be an suv like a jew wagon or a nest something that's like a bit more tough and rugged with a solid frame that you can go off-roading in the earth is super cool it's basically a big wagon in a lot of ways it doesn't suit my needs for my family for my kids not a lot of room in it so i got rid of it and that's why i'm getting another suv soon you probably guess what it is but uh it's one that i i've had before i loved and it may have crashed into a fence one time not the same one not the exact same one but one like it a little bit newer stay tuned for that great new me no time to waste lick them in your seattle plate welcome back to al-13 wheel manufacturer for many of the top brands that you guys have heard and love and know and they've decided to make their own wheel brand which makes sense totally called al-13 which is just the periodic table for aluminum if you didn't know makes me sound number thirteen you're smart you went to college didn't you you're the only educated person in this whole entire vlog ask me how i'm living i'm telling them great oh that's cool yeah that's a crazy effect you look at it hey what's going on here boys all right so these are wheels these gentlemen made for alex for his her con at gintanius twin turbo these are not oem sizes so explain explain to me what you did i mean it's the smallest diameter you can run so it's an 18 inch fitment that's an 18 on the front correct all four corners all four so all four corners are 18 yeah and then you put a bigger tire on there correct so that it obviously the overall rotating is the same the computer doesn't freak out i gotta give credit to alex because that's all hands he figured it all out yeah developed that fitment and everything for the huracan to specifically track the vehicle did he say it worked fine and didn't have any issues yeah i tested it i believe up to like 220 miles an hour that's enough it's pretty fast that's pretty good can we get these made and number two i wonder if they have the can we get these tires they are all four corners the same tire no they're difficult yeah he's running uh toyo's and then mickey thompson oh really oh wow yeah toyota are triple h8rs not make a rear to go with that i don't think in that size i mean the rear it's a 345 it's not a common tire it's wider yeah if you guys don't know huracan tires are a 245 30 20 in the front and a 305 30 20 in the rear he's talking a what a three uh it's a 245 still in the front but it's a 345 and it's one 45 that's a lot wider super wood and on your car right now i had a look instead of a 305 it's got a 325 so they're trying to accomplish kind of the same thing the issue we have is that 3m wasn't built for that so now we have a very oversized tire on the rear which looks stupid we have a very small standard huracan tire on the front which looks stupider and then we have a set of wheels that are really really old that are bronzed and chewed up that i used to have from brixton that you guys actually made which i'm sure are still the integrity of them are fine we could if we wanted to be cheap and lazy we could refinish them but i like this because that is like a dragster car my issue is that car has to be leaving wednesday to go up to the races with saturday sunday two days in the middle could you bang a set of wheels out by tuesday i'll have to confirm it's really if we have the four jeans too an 18 with this type of a setup bigger rubber or we could do something that just fits like our triple hours on all four corners what tires do you have right now the x-comp but their tire is not meant for drag racing yeah it's like a performance tire like to go to the tracker to be driven really on the road and they're great we i honestly love them like they work amazing on the svj and all that sort of stuff if you want them to slip you just over inflate them but we want to go fast and we don't want to we want to provide grip cars got 1500 wheel horsepower so yeah we need some wheels that are going to accommodate like putting at a minimum our triple hours on all four corners i know they don't make the proper huracan size to fit the wheels so i got an idea since it's crunch time yeah he has an idea because it's punch time so we can reuse your 20 inch tires since you have them already okay each time we got these fronts this is our r30 race design 10 spoke two four six eight ten yeah i can still count i like these are they heavy no not at all dude good for you dude you know they're like yeah we just want probably satin black finish dave has a red caliper all right such a red on the center cap so that has to be done by tuesday today is friday today's friday is it five days just indeed we have two fronts so you have to cut the rears we'll have to machine your rear brand new rears can we make it so that the wheel will look better like i was suggesting or not suggesting i was asking about the tire like the tire in that photo it looks wonky you see that sticks i lost that with the wide tire the fronts weren't too too bad but the rears look really weird that covers one car we also have these 675lt on this one right now on this spot we actually do need another set of wheels and they're going to be two different colors one side's going to be one color and the other side of the car will be guess what a different color okay we have more time on that one maybe like a week on that if these guys make it happen al-13 triple pound triple fisting every time i come here it's crazy to see how much stuff they got going on between the materials the machines the employees it's a lot i'm gonna leave before my head explodes thank you to al-13 we're gonna have some race prepped wheels specifically for dave's huracan twin turbo so we can go destroy everything i think if we do this series of drag racing basically modded supercars against stock bought hyper cars gonna have to call the series built versus bot or bot versus built no it'd be it'd be bot versus build because it'd be them versus the built car and we take dave's huracan we destroy everything that's worth millions of dollars and wow at those wealthy people who made bad bad financial decisions yeah right i don't know those cars keep going up in value so empty shut your mouth okay i like nike that's the other guy but clean up your style game percy of dave dd's frunk ready the pile of hoodies there i want you to grab those all and give them to your homeboys you can't hit leather jacket that's my skoomba jacket grab them got them all i love you got them all keep going keep going keep going too much no that's good watch the chin there sorry jesus can't do this guy anywhere also your girlfriend was sure it's not going to go and you want me to give this to you thank you yeah spent all the cheese what i did to you the back earlier but i guess not that was a good lunch boys i feel phenomenal big portion i feel full yeah if you're really hungry and you want a lot of value this is a good place to come now we're to l.a we're going to the land of the dirty yeah yeah i'm telling you la got pretty pretty rugged over the last couple of years really yeah i noticed even beverly hills got a little gangster baby i'm a gangster too just cut the scene there get it get it quick little pump on the carbon fiber body panels with both cars no big deal over here don't worry about that i'll buy a new one with your credit card okay you read that 36 minute delay on the five restaurants which saves night oh yeah yeah i think i think i'll take it i'll take it i want it i want to know and we are back in beverly hills it's home of dde unofficially actually canadian that makes no sense so a lot of time here especially in late 2019 pretty sure we were here probably five days a week probably worked here at espresso at one point a little part-time work where's damon damon's inside this restaurant he's taking a dump noisy pooping yeah look at a lot lately yeah like his new new diet right it's like 500 times a day i know he's a little rabbit time to get a coffee and figure out what the rest of the night is going to look like it's definitely coffee time after that big lunch we had i was driving i was not literally falling asleep but emotionally what we got always in the grind hey guys jay leno and his nsx that's it there you go car guys jay is a cool dude totally copy time odds are we'll see jay uh sunday morning at the malibu carson coffee okay let's go get a coffee where's jay going he thinks you're leaving i'm not you know what jay not today yeah it's right here i'm gonna be like jay it's a late night in it and it's joking is that a sexist yeah it's really cool i wonder how much he likes it i wonder if he'll tell us for 60 seconds unless he's in a room then i won't bug him may make a phone call that's what i would do but i do wonder what his thoughts are on the nsx considering he has a few cars to compare to how many cars do they have hundreds there's like warehouses in burbank gentlemen what's up how do you like the nsx it's nice okay i i did some work you you don't mind that first half we're vloggers we film we see at craft shows but we never bug you because you're always wow you're surrounded by everybody what are you blogging today uh we're from just like our typical day that's the very first one actually in north america yeah that's car number three the first of a lot of stuff you know it's very good it's the best made car driven beautifully built is this your lambo this is we have a bunch of cars not quite at the level of you we have 13 you probably have 1300 huh no no but no no good very nice yeah are those all sponsors on there this is our brand daily driven exotics oh okay so youtube god i got a couch at 70 000. i've been driving it since 87 wow yeah yeah that is the coolest thing ever no it's nothing it's 450 horse that's like a base corvette that's one wheel on that car yes i know enjoy your night thanks jay how cool is it 70 000 on a countach wow so jay's a lambo guy i kind of knew that he felt like a lambo guy i think all the other cars are just like for sure jay has yeah it's just because lambo doesn't make enough cars where they'd be all in that boat he knows the life hack hazards means you don't pay for parking it'll just be a minute if we talk about something for a minute jay leno is just out getting some food for him and his wife thank you what's good which also means jay leno just doesn't know it but he is daily driven exotics he is the lifestyle because what did he take to go get food for the family supercar a supercar it's pretty cool jay we'll let you in the club you just have to apply and you know we'll we'll look at your application you could drive around in seconds yeah you probably drive around in third and it'll be a lot more smooth well i've got the old i've got the old lambos i've got they've updated the transmission shipping software and yesterday yeah yeah it's nightly different i got two espadas and two mirrors and the kunta and i just like shifting you know it's just me too i love career gt manual man yeah okay in that great car they're crazy i love it 2005.05 yeah uh seal gray terracotta interior yeah mine is great too terracotta that's what i got did you uh are you still on the original shock uh yes i also have not so funny in mind i just alternate between cars and one day i'm driving through and bam i'm hitting i'm hitting um all the shocks on the cdc are the worst and i went what's wrong with this car and i just parked it for like a year i just enjoyed it and i'm bringing in i put new shocks in it and oh my god i love it now it's like a brand new car this is yeah i lost like five percent every six months you know what i mean so you don't notice it don't ever park it with the wing up because it's a hydraulic system so if you park it with the wing up which looks cool it keeps the system under pressure it can cause premature failure all right not a place you want premature failure don't want free guys do not want free control thanks guys see you around thanks jay take care by the way i love that you came in a supercar to get your food you're like you're representing the brand without even knowing that's the wrong way yeah see notice the arrows over here oh no there's a car coming this this oh my god this yeah dude happens beverly hills all the time zero thanksgiving right now oh he bailed down the alley lucky coffee coffee in the vlog okay guys the vlog's over seeing the next one the next one's a big one don't miss it smash the subscribe button peace sometimes he just looks at me doesn't say a word he goes like this i didn't want to disturb the uh the monologue he was delivering to you guys monologue wow get back in there see if you get your head back under there get your head back in there anthony is well hydrated i have to say it always has water look at that he stuck those in there we are well hydrated because he takes care of me okayhey guys jay leno and his nsx what's up gentlemen is this your lambo this is we have a bunch of cars not quite at the level of you guys do not want ladies and gentlemen welcome back to another episode of daily driven exotics on today's episode we have some tasks we have to accomplish in order to achieve the bigger goal one of those is dave's huracan with the twin turbos 1500 wheel horsepower definitely needs a wheel makeover these are some very old brixton forged wheels that i had on my old huracan the tire slayer during its uh what would you call that camo phase like yeah kind of camo we're still going back to the camera anyhow these were the only wheel option we had at the time i'm gonna go ahead and kind of coin this as the official daily driven exotics drag car for the time being this car is gonna need probably a better setup of rubber right now we got a mix match set of rubber on there so we're gonna go and get some new rubber today or hunt for some new rubber and we're also looking to get a new set of wheels which we're going to go and visit our friends at al-13 i called darwin darwin's down to talk about what we could put on the car different size combinations to fit and accommodate a better rubber for drag racing specifically the 6m5 lt is going to go to protective film solutions and we're going to talk wraps designs colors and what we could potentially make the 6m5 lt look like and potentially that's going to require even giving this car a new set of wheels or changing the color of these so we also got our boy dan back in the vlog dan are you coming with us today he brought his beautiful jdm car look at this you guys now if you've never seen a car like this in this color this is the laguna seca blue from bmw this is e46 m3 laguna seca blue epic dad bought the car brand new this you have an amazing story we'll need to tell it in a minute for sure right now we just got to go drive let's go let's go to pfs oh yeah what do we got going on here oh we got calms calm's in the house hey dave what color are you going to wrap your card i was thinking a different shade of yellow oh it's different no no we just left the hotel like two blocks you know that car's not warmed up see me babying oh that's a big bump baby oh dave getting after it just roll first after it launch control that is what we call the 50 meter dash ladies and gentlemen always making an entrance here protect the films no one needs coffee when you got an svj nobody needs pot where am i going to park dave what's your problem david 2022 dave's a new man yelling demands it's a beautiful day with beautiful palm trees for some reason you're new to the channel welcome i love palm trees obsessed with them something fun about dan's car is that this is a family heirloom so explain this this is a family heirloom what's going on here dad bought this new and you remember driving this as a kid 100 is the first time i actually learned how to drive a car was on his lap and he ended up doing the clutch pedal i was about four years old and i was putting the gears in and out and this is what i learned to drive on so when i was 16 fast and furious came out i saw this was driven by letty the kooky version i said i got to have this thing and he uh handed it down to me to have fun with you guys bought this brand new i got the receipt in the trunk the thing about cars a lot of the time that we all love and appreciate is the story so whether you're buying it used and it's got a weird quirky story or a story like this where family heirloom like legit my dad's lauren can't go on here no you're good dude okay so my dad's larry lawrence cohen i grew up in plainsboro new jersey yeah east coast he bought this from holdem and nissan thank you to darren shell the sales associate back in the fall of 1994 and my dad traded in an 86 nissan stanza made the right choice let's just all confirm right now dan's dad made the right choice so it's got a built motor fully built turbo yep fully built turbo uh full forwards internals brian crower tome cp pistons now you're flexing dde oh so what about power you just got it tuned what does it mean um on e85 it put down 419 to the wheels and 390. all the smoke 393 torque this is cool man it's a four-cylinder it's really cool andrew molina out of animal auto in corona as a wizard that held up the whole thing you guys saw jimmy the other night in his r32 skyline two stepping oh that was that's his unit his buddy but he had his car with two at the same time that car had 800 horsepower of that he would smoke like this r32 is fast this is a beautiful color but we're here protective film solutions so we're going to wrap it as dave would say a different shade of blue need some love it needs something today so it needs your tag to be tough rip it out strip it out i got you you don't rip it out there's no talking yeah we love having anthony back on the channel right brother oh yeah how do you do it like this whoa betty cannon buy my own confetti cannon the best part is our rent here is up in one week not my problem all right we are now in the design house with brian what's up homie this is the gentleman that sits here and designs a lot of the custom one-off wraps here protect the film solutions and since we're talking about dave getting a wrap on the 675lt we are looking at what 650s yeah i like the race deliveries that's my favorite oh solid color where you got that from uh copy my best friend um anthony oh no moving on but thank you lewis hamilton that's a good buddy of mine well there you go that would actually be that would actually be a good representation if you wanted it that's actually a cool color scheme what are you thinking for colors talk to us i like uh green i like blue i don't like pink or anything silly uh that's cool look at this i like that what do you think castro colors boys it's pretty cool you guys got a comment below yeah what are your thoughts orange is always cool pretty cool that's cool because you can do the wheels you can make the wheels a different color we got a lot of options here gotta love the internet click on that oh that's pretty cool that is pretty cool so we got to come up with a color scheme for the 6m5 lt and then we're going to get brian here to customize it make it a one-off for daily driven exotics what are we looking at for a timeline right now realistically actually no jokes aside what jokes says next week next week jason make it happen i guess it depends you have to pick it if it's like really simple oh click this oh that's fun that's fine oh dude that's sick that's nice this is the front oh yeah oh yeah can we do that let's say we wanted this one how long would that take to design like the actual hours yeah couple of minutes man copy and paste copy and paste okay well 12 30 now i guess when we get lunch come back and do this yeah let's go let's go let's go bye dan off to al-13 let's make some wheels by the way i'm glad that you picked that livery it's gonna look amazing you guys are gonna have to stay tuned to see what he picked we have to get some new wheels made and i'll give you a little hint the wheels will be different colors on either side of the car good personality you two lovebirds go in that car you guys with me now we have a 28 minute drive to al-13 in anaheim we're also in anaheim well disneyland which i've never been to sadly maybe we should do like a dd grouping that'll be cool why did it break again one of the coolest parts about being in california especially in this area is my whole life i bought in car parts we never know where they came from who made them the backstory this is a website you get a box and it's cool you're down you actually go to manufacture and see the process and the entry and all the work goes into it it makes it that much more special to actually get that product so it's pretty cool we can bring that to you guys and show you kind of behind the scenes of how to make an actual forged wheel or a turbo kit or what have you another thing i love about this car now that i'm talking about my car a little bit in this episode is the pops and bangs because they sound very mechanical and random and like you know things are happening in pistons and rings and just mayhem whereas like the earth i had for a little while by the way there was a guy i sold it look at that in a minute uh the pumps and bags were cool but always on the same like it's a two program to literally do the exact same pops the same sequence which i don't really like i like it being more like i don't know random and crazy now yeah i got rid of the urus um honestly you guys like suv wise for me personally i like an suv to be an suv like a jew wagon or a nest something that's like a bit more tough and rugged with a solid frame that you can go off-roading in the earth is super cool it's basically a big wagon in a lot of ways it doesn't suit my needs for my family for my kids not a lot of room in it so i got rid of it and that's why i'm getting another suv soon you probably guess what it is but uh it's one that i i've had before i loved and it may have crashed into a fence one time not the same one not the exact same one but one like it a little bit newer stay tuned for that great new me no time to waste lick them in your seattle plate welcome back
