HTC Inspire 4G Overview

**First Impressions of the HTC Inspire 4G**

I'm here with Tutorial Break's iPhone, and we're going to take a closer look at how Flash works on this device. As you can see, Flash is embedded into the YouTube video, and it looks like it's not optimized for mobile devices. However, when I click on it, it starts playing smoothly, and there are no major issues or lags.

**Flash Performance**

It's worth noting that Flash doesn't provide a desktop-like experience on this device. Instead, it runs smoothly and doesn't cause any significant problems. The only minor issue I've encountered is a slight lag in the browser, but it's not a major deal at all. Overall, Flash performance on this device is impressive.

**Orientation Bug**

Unfortunately, there are a couple of things that I'm not entirely pleased with. One of those things is an orientation bug that sometimes causes the phone to stick to a previous orientation and refuse to change it. For example, when I open the settings menu, it will randomly switch to one side and won't let me change it at all. It's unclear what's behind this issue, but it hasn't been a major problem for me so far. I've found that if I force quit out of the app and restart, it usually fixes the issue.

**AT&T Cell Reception**

Another thing I'm not pleased with is the AT&T cell reception on this device. Despite being a 4G phone, I haven't experienced any significant 4G speeds during my testing so far. In fact, when I run a speed test, I only get around 1500 kilobits down and 236 kilobits up – which is not exactly what you'd call 4G speeds. I've also tested the HSPA Plus network, but I didn't experience any better speeds.

**Unboxing Impressions**

During unboxing, I was a bit worried about the volume rocker and power button because they seem to be flush with the surface of the device. However, after using them extensively, I can confidently say that they're perfectly tactile and easy to access. The camera is also an area where I'm mostly impressed – despite not being on par with the iPhone 4, it's certainly capable of taking some great shots.

**Camera Capabilities**

I've taken a few pictures of the device so far, and while the results aren't spectacular, they're still decent. The dual LED flash is one of the highlights of the camera, and I'm excited to do a full review of its capabilities soon. In short, the camera on this device has some great potential – especially with that nice dual LED flash.

**Overall Impression**

Overall, my first impressions of the HTC Inspire 4G are mostly positive. While there are a couple of minor issues here and there, they haven't been major problems for me so far. If you're interested in learning more about this device, be sure to subscribe to Tutorial Break's channel, as I'll be doing several other videos – including a full review – that will dive deeper into its features and capabilities.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: entoday I'm here with the first impressions of the HTC Inspire 4G uh so there's definitely a lot to like about this phone however there are a few little things I'm not super uh happy with so what I decided to do is give you guys a quick First Impressions video now I haven't this is not a review or anything I've only had this for a couple of days but uh from what I've used so far I definitely have you know got some pros and cons with it so I'd like to share those with you right now uh so the first pro and I absolutely love this is the display now it is a 4.3 in display which is really quite large especially if you're like me and coming from you know like a 3.5 in display like on an iPhone or something this is absolutely huge and I love it um you know it allows you to put a lot more on the screen so that's you know games especially in the internet browsing and in just you know text in general um it's a lot easier to read you know big web pages in fact full desktop sites look really quite nice on the large display I know it is a super LCD display meaning that uh it's it's not quite as good as something like a Super AMOLED which you know like on some Samsung phones but I really don't have any issues uh sen goes for the resolution it's not super high resolution 480 by 800 which again is basically standard but I do like it it really does look nice and uh it's even legible in sunlight so I mean it could be better but I really don't have any major complaints and as far as the OS goes I've had a lot of people ask me oh is it laggy it's of course it only has a single core Snapdragon processor but I do want to note that it's the second generation so it's a little bit faster and it's bolstered by a hefty 768 megabytes of ram so for an Android phone that's plenty you guys can see here really nice and snappy scrolling through your home home screen in fact you want want to back out oops I don't want have to do that we want to back out you guys can see here we can scroll through our different uh screen really quite nice and easily uh same goes for the live wallpaper as you guys can see there's a live wallpaper and if I want to hold down here we can pick a different wallpaper just to kind of show you guys it really doesn't have any major effect on the performance so let's take a look uh I always love this wallpaper so we can take a look at this one and just scroll here and you can see here live wallpaper works just fine no issues at all um now moving on from that uh one thing I do want to show you guys is the internet browser um so I reading a little Reddit here uh let's just go to state jail break and just give you guys a little uh demo of the browser performance now the browser does work really quite nicely in general I'm actually liking it again that large display is nice um but what I really like is this is the smoothest Android phone I've ever used as far as the browser goes you can see here the pinch to zoom is nice um you know you really don't get a whole lot of the checkerboard pattern although guess isn't the greatest website to show you guys that on but it really does work nice nice and smoothly and it does support Flash so in fact we can hit that of course there we go but I will show you guys it does actually support Flash and sports flash pretty well so as you can see here this is an embedded YouTube video uh it's not you know like uh an iOS or something it's not optimized for mobile this just a standard desktop browser and if we go ahead and click on it you'll see that it will actually start playing today I'm here with tutorial break your iPhone there we go um so I we do not want to open that but as you guys can see here flash does work uh now you know it's not uh it's not going to be desk desktop gr experience but absolutely does run smoothly doesn't really cause any major it lags the browser slightly but it's not a big deal at all uh now on the other hand there are a couple things that I'm not really really all that pleased with uh the first is that there's seems to be a little bit of an orientation bug uh on occasion it will kind of freak out I guess and stick to the orientation that was in previously uh so for example sometimes when I open the settings it will randomly switch to one side and will not uh let me change it at all uh same thing goes for the browser so I'm not 100% sure what's behind that um I don't know if it's maybe a problem with just this specific phone or maybe a more of a wide uh widespread deal but it hasn't been a huge deal typically if I just force quit out of the app restart it it will properly works but I definitely do want to let you guys know that I've been having a little bit of a problem there um another thing is the AT&T cell reception uh this is a 4G phone and I've only had a little bit of time of course like I said I haven't had enough time to really test it fully um but from what I've tested so far this definitely does not have 4G speeds uh the best I could pull up in fact I can pull up the uh speed test and show you guys here the best I've ever done as you guys can see here is 1500 kilobits down and 236 kilobits up uh that's not and ignore that last one that was on Wi-Fi but that is not 4G speeds now again do want to stress that I haven't had enough time to really fully test it uh but that is that's not all that great at all in fact I'm pretty sure you could probably get faster on 3G so I definitely do keep that in mind and yes I did test that on the HSPA Plus network in fact I'm connected to it right now uh now we go and shut off the phone a little bit there's a couple of things I do want to point out um in the unboxing I kind of mentioned that I was a little bit worried about the volume rocker and the power button uh because as you guys can hopefully see there they are basically flush they just protrude out just the slightest amount however I've got to say that there's really no issues there uh it's even though they are basically flush uh they're plenty tactile both the power and The Rocker um they're plenty tactile and you can get at them no problem as far as the camera goes I've also been mostly impressed in fact I shot a few pictures if you guys are interested um I will be doing a video uh fairly shortly showing you guys the 8 8 megapixel Stills as well as a 720p highdefinition video I'll be doing that shortly overall it's not an amazing camera uh still say it's probably not quite on par with the iPhone 4 but it's certainly not a bad camera at all and there are some pretty cool shots you can get with it especially with that nice dual LED flash anyway that's about it for my first impressions of the HTC inspired 4G um overall I've been mostly impressed with it there's a couple things I'm not really really pleased with but overall no major issues um so anyway guys if you're interested in learning more about the phone be sure to subscribe to the channel right up above um I will be doing several other videos including a full review and if you have any requests if you want to see any particular videos about the HDC Inspire 4G be sure to let me know in the comments below
