NEW COLOUR for My Porsche 718 Cayman GT4!

The Electric Charging Port Cover

As I was about to say "fuel filler cap" for a moment, but the charging port cover that goes up over the side there obviously this will be trimmed around the wheel arch and so forth but the green is looking wonderful. I am very very relieved to have this back in one piece it's been bugging me for quite a while but crucial as I said earlier to make sure the paint underneath has had the time to harden up properly for the future and that we don't get any further issues with it back to full glory.

But, crucial as this is, it's not the only thing that needs attention. The car, which is a GT4, has a fairly budget paint protection film job. It has front-end PPF so the bonnet, the bumper, the wings, also the mirror caps as well but nothing else behind the A-pillars. But, it's far from the best and that is an understatement. I knew about this before collecting the car and the intention was always to pull the film away, but let me just pick out a couple of things that you should always look for in terms of a bad PPF job.

Starting right there on the mirror cap where you can see that the film has basically been overstretched and pulled back leaving some of the glue residue around the sides. It is exactly the same on the other side, maybe it was even hand-trimmed or something later. So, hopefully, that's going to be fine. It does seem to come off fairly easily if we come to the fuel filler cap just here and open this up you can see that this is well not really attached properly around the edge and again just finished really badly coming further around look here that's lifting around the outside of the headlight inside there that is really not trimmed very well. I'm not sure quite how much you can see inside the gap but it's pretty bad and it just goes on and on and on.

Now, there are a few other things to replace as I said these, there's also a bit of marking here just on the paint protection film so that needs to be done but this is pretty much. I would say one of the worst PPF jobs I've ever seen and obviously I've seen quite a lot but this is why you get it done properly so we're going to have to take all of that off and I think that will be in the next update so when I come in, we'll take off the PPF and then start with some of the purple transformation.

Although you could go over the top of the PPF and it would stay on when you then take off the vinyl later this is so bad it's just not even worth it. It's not worth having if you like attention to detail because that's not great one car out, and the other ready to go inside. Then but the Thai can is looking magnificent they've also given it a quick run-over with quick detailer to bring out that midnight green. The lift is off at the moment for just driving down the driveway but this color look at that like a metallic British racing green absolutely awesome.

Green and gold is a proper winning combination, and the front thankfully now finished up with all of the gold pin stripes as well exactly as it needed to be I have missed this looking correct. It is so much better than it was before, it's a funny thing how much of a difference that actually makes but this has turned out really really well, and I can't wait to have the Thai can with the finished GT4 together in not very long. But first up will be an update to come removing the PPF hopefully with all being fine underneath and then getting started with the inner tech midnight purple to do the transformation on this.

With the wing risers from RSNV as well to match with the wheels, and a few more gold subtle details to come around it too. For now though, a big thanks to the guys here at Dub Customs great to come and have a sneak peek at their new setup. A lot still to be done of course, but big things in the works and some very exciting stuff around here that you hope you're going to see before too long as well. For now though, an update in a couple of days back with the GT4 as the transformation it's underway.

Don't forget to check out all of the new items as well in the Cheers by Ximen50 store, the link to those is down below for now though we're gonna hop in the Thai can head back home be back again very soon so thanks for watching guys appreciate your support a lot that's it for this time though and I'll see you again very soon cheers.
