SUPER UltraWide Monitor + The World's LIGHTEST 17' Laptop + LG CineBeam 4K! _ The Tech Chap
LG's new monitors and gadgets are making waves in the tech world. First up, we have LG's ultra-wide gaming monitor that features a 38 inch quad HD plus resolution, a 144 Hertz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 175 Hertz, Nvidia G-Sync, and a color accurate nano IPS panel with cool RGB backlights. This really does tick all the boxes for me as someone who edits video on a monitor and wants the big size, high-res, and color accuracy but also plays games and can take advantage of that high refresh rate and G-Sync.
If that's not enough, we also have a 27-inch version of this ultra-wide monitor. Next up, I want to show you this brand new 17 inch LG gram which holds the title of the world's lightest 17 inch laptop. It weighs just 1.34 kilograms, that's under three pounds, and has thin bezels so it fits a 17 inch screen in a 15 inch laptop body. The specs include a 2560 x 1600 IPS display, an 8th gen Intel Whiskey Lake processor, up to 16 gigs of RAM, and up to one terabyte of SSD storage.
LG is also showing off a new business version of this laptop, which comes with a black color scheme and is designed to be visa mounted. The LG gram's move the controller joystick to the right-hand side, still easily accessible.
Moving on, we have LG's ultra fine 32 inch 4k monitors again named as creators and designers with its nano IPS panel great DCI P3 color accuracy and dual Thunderball 3 ports. This really is one of my favorite 4k displays.
Next up, I want to show you this brand new 38 inch all-in-one PC with an AMD Ryzen 3 processor built into an ultra wide quality monitor. We've also got LG's ultra gear gaming monitors right now at home, I'm using one of LG's 38 inch see99 monitors but I can't wait to upgrade to this with a 38 inch quad HD plus resolution.
Last year's LG Center Beam retails for $3,000 definitely not cheap then and while LG haven't confirmed how much this new one will cost they did say it might be a little bit more so this isn't gonna be for everyone. That was a lot of tech let me know what your favorite was in the comments below
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys I'm Tom the tech chap and I'm here at LG's booth at CES 2019 where they're announcing and showing off a lot of cool tech we've got a brand new 4k HDR projector we've got a new 17 inch LG ground which is the lightest 17 inch laptop in the world which is pretty impressive as well as a whole host of monitors both for gaming business and productivity all right so let's kick off with this LG's brand-new 49 inch super ultra wide monitor this guy is clearly pretty excited about it now this isn't the first 49 inch super ultra wide I've seen Samsung and MSI efficient of similar monitors but what sets this one apart for me is the quad HD resolution let's say 50 120 by 1440 res so you're effectively getting 2 quad HD monitors side-by-side I also really like how LG are tailoring this to all creatives and professionals with a color accurate IPS panel HDR 10 and 3-way picture-in-picture support plus it just looks good there's also a business version maybe you're a big shot market trader and 149 inch monitor just isn't big enough so you can actually stack these on top of each other LG's move the controller joystick to the right-hand side now so it's still easily accessible this businessí model also comes with a black color scheme and it's designed to be visa mounted LG are also showing off a 38 inch all-in-one PC with an AMD Rison 3 processor built into an ultra wide quality monitor we've also got LG's ultra fine 32 inch 4k monitors again named a creators and designers with its nano IPS panel great DCI p3 color accuracy and dual Thunderball 3 ports this really is one of my favorite 4k displays so we've got 4k monitors ultra wide all in ones and super ultra wide and then we've got these LG's brand new ultra gear gaming monitors right now at home I'm using one of LG's 38 inch you see 99 monitors but I can't wait to upgrade to this with a 38 inch quad HD plus resolution a 144 Hertz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 175 Hertz Nvidia g-sync a color accurate nano IPS panel and cool RGB backlights this really does tick all the boxes for me as someone who edits video on a monitor and wants the big size the high-res and the color accuracy but also plays games and can take advantage of that high refresh rate and gsync there is also a small 27-inch version if you don't fancy an ultra wide next up I want to show you this brand new 17 inch LG gram which holds the title of the world's lightest 17 inch laptop it's crazy how light this thing is picking it up it feels like the battery is missing or something it weighs just 1.34 kilograms that's just under three pounds and the thin bezels mean it's a 17 inch screen in a 15 inch laptop body you get a 2560 by 1600 IPS display and I really like how LG have gone with a 16 by 10 aspect ratio so you get more vertical space on the screen I wish more laptops had this specs wise it comes with up to an eighth gen i7 whiskey like processor 16 gigs of ram and up to one terabyte of SSD storage and LG say the 72 watt hour battery will give it nearly 20 hours of battery life although in real-world use I'm sure it won't be quite that much there's also a Thunderbolt 3 port so you can hook up a high-res monitor or maybe even an external graphics card it does seem to have a bit of screen wobble but aside from that and considering just how ridiculously light this thing is the new 17-inch gram is an incredible bit of kit LG you're also showing off a new 2 in 1 laptop it's a 14 inch full HD touchscreen and comes bundled with a stylus pen so whether you're taking notes doodling or creating an artistic masterpiece this lightweight two-in-one powered by 8th gen whiskey like chips could be a good option and finally last but definitely not least we have LG's new sinha beam projector place it just 2 inches from the wall and you'll get a 90 inch image push it back to 7 inches from the wall and you'll get a massive 120 inch screen LG have given the new hu 85 L a more traditional design versus last year's projector and now comes with dual lasers to enhance color accuracy and contrast it also comes with LG's webOS interface with thin qai and a TV tuner built in and everything can be controlled with the bundled Magic Remote or even with your voice since it supports Alexa and the Google assistant so you can watch 4k Netflix and YouTube straight from the projector no extra boxes or streaming sticks required well though you can always plug in your satellite or cable box via the HDMI port I can't wait to get my hands on one of these for a full review when it comes out in the summer I can definitely see it replacing my current TV as for pricing last year's LG center beam retails for $3,000 definitely not cheap then and while LG haven't
