**Breaking News: Verizon iPad Possibility and More**
In a shocking turn of events, rumors are circulating that the iPhone and iPad may be coming to Verizon. This news brings a lot more credibility to both devices in my opinion.
Another significant announcement from D8 is the unveiling of Project Natal on the hands-free motion control for the Xbox 360. It was shown off once again this morning, but this time it might just be the final shipping version. As you can see from the pictures, it looks very similar to what we've seen in the past. It's going to be about a foot and a half long, with cameras and sensors on it. But guys, it looks pretty cool.
Of course, we've seen this before, and it's very likely that we'll have full details, price, and all that good stuff at E3 this year, which is just a couple of weeks away. The main thing to focus on is the price. A lot of people seem to think that it will be a lot of money - $150, or even with the Xbox 360 arcade for $300. Nal is really great, and I don't see the amount of tech involved with it as being prices that make sense.
But guys, I'm not sure if I can see them selling a ton of them at that price. Okay, now let's take a look at the new h&t data plans. They've really just changed it up a lot. Gone is the standard $30 for unlimited data, although if you do have that plan currently, you can still keep it. But now they have two new plans: Data Plus and Data Pro.
The Data Plus plan is somewhat similar to what you could get on the iPad right now. You pay $15 a month and get 200 megabytes of data. The Data Pro plan is $25 and comes with 2 GB of data. At first glance, this might not seem so great, but then you look into it, and it's actually pretty good.
With the overage, you'll only be charged $10 more for every additional gigabyte. And if you need more than that, they'll just charge you another $10 on top of that. Guys, this is a pretty decent deal compared to other data plans out there. Now, let's talk about the last thing: the iPhone finally getting tethering for sure.
With the Data Pro plan for $20, you can go ahead and have your iPhone tethered. So, basically, if you have an iPhone or any other phone, but it's obvious that the iPhone is probably going to be the biggest one, for $45, you can get the Data Pro plan with 2 GB of data a month and have it tethered.
**What do you think?**
Guys, I'd like to thank you for watching this episode of Inside Tech. Do you have any thoughts on the Verizon iPad? Would that make you more likely to go ahead and buy an iPad? Is the fact that the iPad 3G currently only runs on AT&T one major reason why you don't want to get it?
If you do think so, let me know in the comments personally. I don't think the iPad 3G plays well on AT&T, and I'm a little unsure about it now. I like Unlimited that's just something I like. But guys, you know what it would take for you to get a Verizon iPad?
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello and welcome to this episode of inside Tech today we're going to be taking a look at quite a few things including the iPad perhaps going to Verizon um we're also going to take a look at a couple things from d8 including the Steve Jobs interview which really brought a lot of light on a couple things as well as perhaps we have a some pictures of the final shipping version of Xbox 360 Nal lastly we're going to go over the some complicated um new data plans from AT&T so if you have an iPhone or an iPad or really any uh AT&T phone that needs a data plan you'll definitely want to stay tuned anyway let's get this one started okay guys so let's begin with one of the bigger stories which is that the iPad might possibly be going to Verizon um so guys there's a lot of different reasons behind this I'll go ahead and go over what all started off um boy genus just reported that they had a highle source they trust a lot that said that Verizon's currently testing a CDMA which is the kind of network that Verizon is they're testing out testing an iPad with that um so guys this is pretty big news I mean we've heard iPad you know I mean iPhone rumors going to Verizon um which seem to be getting more and more and more lately I mean it's it's looking pretty uh pretty confident that there will be an iPhone on Verizon um but now they're talking about the iPad might be going into Verizon as well now of course iPad's a little bit differently of course you know it's not like with the iPhone where you can't get you know an unlocked iPhone or whatever really you have to get it for AT&T or whatever whereas you know the iPad anybody can get a Wi-Fi model so the 3G is not a huge deal but it's still definitely something you'll want to keep an eye on now kind of linking into this was last night the d8 was that Steve Jobs did an interview which is pretty rare for him um you know he talked about a ton of stuff guys I definitely recommend go check out the link in the description um go ahead there's a bunch of video highlights from uh the whole event um you know there's a lot of stuff he talked about and I won't even try to get into everything but one of the more interesting things I thought was that they started uh asking him some guy was like he lived in Houston and he was saying basically that you know they can't go one minute without you know talking on without a dropped call on his iPhone and you know Steve just basically just said yeah I know they're work they're working on it you know you may he actually got a couple jobs in on AT&T like you things get worse and they get better then they're about to get way way better um so guys there's a lot of different things but one of the interesting things was that they asked him do you see a you know a benefit of having more than one carrier in the US and he said yeah maybe and then they're like well maybe will that be happening soon he's like you know I can't comment on that um so that guys that's um you know it might not sound like a lot coming from Steve jobs he's very you know cut and dry usually he'll usually say no that's not going to happen or you know he he'll be a lot more firm then it might be a possibility so guys I really expect between uh you know that brings a lot more credibility to both uh uh iPhone and the iPad possibly coming to Verizon in my opinion another thing from d8 is that the project Nal on the the handsfree motion control for the Xbox 360 was shown off yet again this morning um but this time it just might the final shipping version um so as you guys can see in the pictures here it looks very similar to what we've seen in the past um you know it's going to be a probably about a foot foot and a half long it's going to have a couple of cameras and sensors on it um but guys it looks pretty cool now of course this is what we've seen and it's very very likely that we will have full details price all that kind of good stuff at E3 this year which just a couple uh just a couple weeks I believe um but the main thing really is that the price um we they talked about the price and a lot of people seem to think that it will be a lot of money I've heard $150 I've heard you know you can get it with like the Xbox 360 arcade which would be $300 um Nal is really great and to be honest I don't see I mean the amount of tech that's involved with it that those are those are prices that make sense you know for the money part but guys I don't know if I can see them selling a ton of them with with it being that expensive okay guys so now we're going to take a look at the new h&t data plans um now they've really just changed it up a lot um gone is the standard you know $30 for unlimited data although if you do have that plan currently you can still keep it um but now they have two new plans the data plus and the data Pro okay so the data plus is somewhat similar to what you could get on the I on the iPad you look into it it actually is pretty DEC um now with the overage you actually it's a pretty good deal if you go over that 2 gbyte cap you know sometimes you know with other data plans you actually get charged a ton of money um they're actually not going to charge you that much they will charge you $10 more for every for another gigabyte um and if you need more than that and they'll just charge you another $10 on top of that so guys it's not like you know some plans where you know you go over the 2 GB you go 2.1 GB you know that's $50 extra so it's pretty decent now guys the last thing which is lumped in with all of this is the iPhone is finally getting tethering for sure um so basically it's very simple with the data Pro Plan you get for $20 you go ahead and can have your iPhone tether um so this would be on top of the $25 so guys if you have an iPhone or any other phone but it's you know obviously the iPhone is probably going to be the biggest one for $45 you can get the data Pro Plan with 2 GB a month and and you can also go ahead and have it tether and that's it for this episode of inside Tech I'd like to thank you for watching and I got a question for you guys what are your thoughts on the Verizon iPad would that make you more be more likely to go ahead and buy an iPad um you know do you is that one major reason why you don't want to get an iPad 3G because you don't want it on AT&T um if you have thought guys let me know in the comments personally I don't think the iPad 3G play on AT&T it used to be not so bad now I'm a little unsure about it now um I like Unlimited
