iPhone Battery Shutdown Issue - What can you do

What's Up YouTube Saf: iPhone 6s Battery Issue

You're on Super Saf TV and it turns out that some iPhones are randomly shutting down, which means we need to figure out which iPhones are affected, whether your device is part of the problem, and what can be done about it. So, a couple of days ago I was out with my iPhone 6s taking some pictures; it was pretty cold out, and the phone just randomly switched off. I was slightly confused because I was sure that there was some battery in it went back inside put this on charge and it was on 53% switch back on and I wasn't too sure I thought maybe it's because of the temperature spoke to some friends looked online and it turns out there is an issue and apple have accepted that there is an issue with some iPhone 6s models so the 6s is apparently the only model that's affected and it is the early batch so you're talking between September and October 2015. So, if this is when you picked up your iPhone then you probably want to do this test to check if your device is affected and what's actually triggering it well most people saying that it's random in my case it was the low temperature so that might have something to do with it but we're not entirely sure now.

To find out if your iPhone 6s is part of the problem, you need to get your serial number first. That's available in settings General about and it is your serial number; now it's not your IMEI number, it is your serial number that you need. The best way to get this is by tapping and holding on the serial number itself and then you can copy it. Then, you need to follow the link in the description below, which will take you on to Apple's website. You need to pick the country that you're in and then paste your serial number in the text box; if your device is one of the affected units, then you will get this message: "the iPhone 6s serial number you entered is eligible for this program please choose one of the service options below."

If you don't get this message, then that means your iPhone won't be faulty and if you're still experiencing a problem, I definitely recommend taking it over to an Apple store. But if it is affected, then you can do one of three things: you can make an appointment at an Apple retail store, you can contact an authorized Apple service provider or contact Apple technical support directly. What they'll do is replace your battery so you will get a fresh new battery, which is pretty cool.

I'm going to be taking mine in next week and I'll let you know how I get on with that. You will have to back up your iPhone and get all of your things off it just in case and it is most likely going to be reset so just do bear that in mind and you'll get a fresh new battery in your device and your device should be sorted. I'm not sure exactly how long this is going to take whether they're going to do on the day or not.

What if your serial number does come up on this list and you've not had a problem yet, well I would still recommend taking it into an Apple store and getting the battery replaced just in case it's something that arises later on. And you will get a fresh new battery so if you've been using the iPhone 6S for about a year or so then your battery would have depleted slightly this happens with all batteries the more you use it the more recharge cycles that you go through they do deteriorate over time and when you get a fresh one then that should improve your battery life as well. So, I definitely recommend going ahead and taking advantage of this replacement program.

It seems like there's battery problems with every device nowadays this one's not as extreme as something like the Note 7 but it seems like manufacturers just simply can't get battery technology completely right right now is your iPhone 6s affected is it part of that list drop me a comment below and let me know your thoughts.
