again we are here thanks to rsr as you can see them right there maybe in the background the ride over there they handed this car over to us so many thanks to them and we are here today with this car to see what is capable of doing on track Max actually already did a full-on review of the GT4 so you can see that up here or down in the description below uh we're gonna go over it really quick so gaming GT4 is basically a car that initially many Porsche intuitions have been waiting for for a very long time um because yeah the game was always the platform that didn't have the Porsche compromise because the Porsche compromise always has been and still is to this date is that the engine sits on or over the rear axle and never in the the middle and that's really what supercars and sports cars in my opinion make Sports and supercars is that the engine sits in the middle so that the car is nice and balanced well Porsche did that finally with the Cayman but it never really was a full-on GT car until they came up with the first generation GT4 and now this second generation 718 and so this specific car is a manual a four liter naturally aspirated flat six it's derived from the 992 engine so what they did is they took the 992 turbo 3 liter they stroked it to four liters so different different rods different Pistons a different crankshaft and then they ditched the turbos and they turn it into this four liter naturally aspirated monster which makes 420 horsepower and does that at 8 000 RPM this car also borrows suspension parts from uh which is actually kind of weird but it's borrows the suspension parts from the 991.2 so keep that in mind the engine is basically a converted 992 engine and the suspension parts on this car are 991.2 GT3 parts so the 992 is actually double Wishbone with the two a arms and this is as they call that a McPherson suspension or a McPherson strut as you can see this car sits just on regular Steels but again with different pads from rsr um what else yeah as you can see the lovely manual the carbon bucket seats they are actually not reclinable so the back is fixed it's purely the height that can go up and down and forward and backward in these seats what else is there to note yeah I mean nothing really special and as you can see right here in the background there is its Big Brother you will see it later on but that's what everybody of course has been waiting for but we're gonna take it out on track to see what it does what it feels like in my opinion this is a really nice spec if you want to have a good amount of fun so regular GT4 with that lovely lovely lovely manual shift um I think we're gonna have a lot of fun in this today and it will also kind of compare it of course to the GT4 RS because this is a unique opportunity where yeah I can drive them back to back and tell you also guys a bit about what are the real differences between the two obviously that is going to be quicker on track but is it also going to be more fun and enjoyable so we're gonna go out on track and I will tell you guys everything about this car how it feels how it handles and how it performs okay guys so we're gonna go out on track I just did a warm-up lap with the GT4 next to me is Alex a really good friend of mine and he actually took me here for the first time and since then uh well the rest is history basically here we are here we are indeed so uh what I'm gonna do now the car is gonna be in Auto blip and ESC and TC will be off so I will hold the button and also the exhaust flip open of course and you can see down here also my temperatures stuff so Alex oh well you can do it on the right hand side actually that's even easier thank you very much very handy yeah very very handy so manual GT4 here we go 400 horsepower warm cup tubes warm breaks we just also did a bit of a pressure change because they were getting a little high and hot so let's see and an engine really needs to come up top huh the grip on this thing is insane in my opinion for a car that is bone stock it has a bit of understeer because the front tires are not that huge it's just a regular cup too but the thing oh that really gets me with this car is how natural it feels I just did one left with this car and I feel at home incredible also the way the suspension is settled the way the car rotates it's like completely stuffed apart right yeah this car is completely stuck well apart from brake pads they put on I think win Max or something it's more security than uh exactly it is uh and you see it under stairs a little that's a bit of the character correct dress so you have this car so I really wonder how that will compare to the RS because the RS of course has more Arrow has a bit more grip but my God thank you can feel the front tires though you're starting to let go but oh another scary way you can feel it which lets you know yeah but you don't want to push it too far because then you're gonna understand to something and we don't want though oh it's I'm a bit speechless in that sense because work out this car also in a very good way because it really wants you to push also what I really like the characteristic of the engine it's not super torquey storky enough I always feel like with turbo engines especially on the ring that you're you're having to manage all that power here yeah exactly here you really don't you can just to push the car you push the throttle and it just goes foreign the shifts are also super nice and crisp and also I really again the auto blip really helping me out here because it really is it makes the Driving Experience overall just a bit easier I'm ruined I need one of these living here rear end squirms a little under braking but in a very gentle it really is so cool floret then that some coilover is good no it's good it's so it's so stuck I would I will put bigger tires on the front of one of these because it could use a bit more meat because you can feel that it's oh you can feel that it's letting go just a bit as usual we abortion all their products are pure gold especially when it comes from the GT Department let alone GTRs but it's it's not normal that this is a completely stock car and we're chasing a actually a regular I think a regular Cayman that is not in GT4 like I was really going for it oh the steering feel is so incredibly natural oh it's actually a was using confidence-wise this has to be one of the best cars I've ever driven you have so much confidence I can see it in the way you steer in everything the car does it just it talks to you it's it tells you exactly what is going on it's not unpredictable at all it's extremely predictable oh look at that even there in that little moment of nasty it just talks to you I have to say it everywhere he wants to go I haven't really felt any real Overseer in the car yet it's mainly that wasn't goes by you yeah yeah it's pushing that car though yeah see it that way he's really pushing that's always pushing their car don't don't try to take them to the edge it's really unnecessary oh this is I am I'm a bit speechless I'm literally oh my God look at that foreign but also in its Mr shape because this is it has to be one of the most Community it has to be one of the most communicative cars I've ever felt it talks to you in a way that nothing else does because I'm not 100 sure if these are
