he said there's no retuning so all you do is take this out and there 60 more horsepower look at the size of that thing oh it is in there oh it's in there yeah bro yeah training wheels are off dude 60 more horsepower now we need to tract it yes we do hell yeah oh that is that's crazy so look at this thing that's wild so they just restrict the air going in yeah big restriction too cuz this is like I don't know probably about an 80 mm throttle body and that might be like down to like a 50 mm opening so crazy that's a big Restriction Training Wheels they are coming off this car is a handful already 60 na horsepower is not the same as 60 like boosted horsepower cuz na is like immediate all the torque right away this car is going to be a bit of a handful but that's okay I'm willing to take on the so it's kind of messing us up and we can't put the linkage or anything in until the clutch and everything's back in you got to take the entire transmission the torque tube so it's basically like from the engine all the way to the back of the car that m massive unit has to come out and then move out of the way and then all the F1 stuff comes off and then it's a big process so with that being said helping Tim you get my hands dirty oh there you go sir that is actually a stock piece of the pipe fun fact really yes so it's the headers and the pipe after the headers and that connects to the stock pipe and then after that it's the from vtronic and then it's the flame all right so I just took out the support brace that we modified I just have to get it out of the way cuz the trans will not clear with it in the reason we had to modify it over having it stock is because of the bracketry for the manual shifter leg linkage take it out get some room hopefully we get everything cleared out of the way and the transmission comes out tonight all right I had to take the wheels off I just is take off everything around the transmission so we'll drain the oil we'll take the oil lines off disconnect the axles and the reason I took the wheels off is I'm basically going to put a screwdriver in the rotor so it'll hold the axle in place so I can crack the bolts on the axle off and separate it from the transmission take these oil lines off hopefully uh it doesn't spill all all around the bucket and it actually goes in the bucket let's hit it you hear that I do it's like air it's sucking why is it doing that what the heck was this thing low on oil oh there okay so there's a little bit I feel like it should be gushing out right now that was weird I don't know Mark this doesn't look very promising oh dude uh uh where's the rest of it you know usually the bottom of the transmission kind of flows when you first open it up it's not doing that this is uh pretty bad that transmission should be full knowing how it was driven uh not very nicely as you guys know it's uh not good to not have uh Cooling and lubrication when uh the gears are spinning at 9,000 RPM this banjo fitting has a washer on one side and a washer on another and this one was stuck so I pulled this off and now it's in this bucket and uh it's brass it's not magnetic you're going into the soup uh oh gross did you get it I got it boom got you guys fortunately unfortunately because of the smoke clutch all this has to come out anyways and it'll be down on a workable cart and probably now we'll just use a tear down table for the transmission maybe open it up and just take a look inside hopefully the transmission's good because rebuilding a trans is uh not fun I've never done a Ferrari trans that'll be a first and who knows how expensive it is to get if we could even get $599 parts and then if we have to buy a whole new transmission I don't know how much they're going to be I have a feeling never mind stuff of this so genuinely curious to know what this car is like cuz I hear amazing things about it it is the 296 this Ferrari is allegedly the Ferrari that all the sf90 drivers people who have owned SF 9s have said this is a better car than the sf90 that is a steep claim price tag is a lot more reasonable damn you can see all the hybrid cables there what's interesting about this is they didn't there's no retuning so all you do is take this out and there 60 more horsepower look at the size of that thing oh it is in there oh it's in there yeah bro yeah training wheels are off dude 60 more horsepower now we need to tract it yes we do hell yeah oh that is that's crazy so look at this thing that's wild so they just restrict the air going in yeah big restriction too cuz this is like I don't know probably about an 80 mm throttle body and that might be like down to like a 50 mm opening so crazy that's a big Restriction Training Wheels they are coming off this car is a handful already 60 na horsepower is not the same as 60 like boosted horsepower cuz na is like immediate all the torque right away this car is going to be a bit of a handful but that's okay I'm willing to take on the Sinister looking with those little headlights slits and then when you do them yellow like that when this car was all carbon I actually nicknamed it toothless How to Train Your Dragon that was the movie cuz it looked like that all black and sleek and kind of like scaly in some ways because of the louvers and stuff and then that yellow headlights oh you got them look at that by the way these weigh nothing yeah nice machine aluminum parts that is so cool real Lamborghini horsepower 60 horsepower right there man that's that's cheap horsepower right there I mean we just added 10% to 15% more power by two things that's no joke that is no joke I'm really going to need to make sure that the Slicks are warmed up when I drive this car now you got to roll that throttle on nice and smooth be has what life insurance why cuz it could catch on fire um but I do need mine and Dave's 599's back online the big hiccup right now is that Dave's car needs a clutch we got to put the full exhaust system on my car showed up today that needs to go on but if you're going to drop the whole headers and exhaust you got to do that anyhow to get to the transmission and everything to get to the clutch so it's kind of messing us up and we can't put the linkage or anything in until the clutch and everything's back in you got to take the entire transmission the torque tube so it's basically like from the engine all the way to the back of the car that m massive unit has to come out and then move out of the way and then all the F1 stuff comes off and then it's a big process so with that being said here's what's going to happen one he's heading home it's the weekend what we're going to do is Tim do you have anywhere to go tonight uh not really you're going hang out with me we're going to drag helping Tim you get my hands dirty oh there you go sir that is actually a stock piece of the pipe fun fact really yes so it's the headers and the pipe after the headers and that connects to the stock pipe and then after that it's the from vtronic and then it's the flame all right so I just took out the support brace that we modified I just have to get it out of the way cuz the trans will not clear with it in the reason we had to modify it over having it stock is because of the bracketry for the manual shifter leg linkage take it out get some room hopefully we get everything cleared out of the way and the transmission comes out tonight all right I had to take the wheels off I just is take off everything around the transmission so we'll drain the oil we'll take the oil lines off disconnect the axles and the reason I took the wheels off is I'm basically going to put a screwdriver in the rotor so it'll hold the axle in place so I can crack the bolts on the axle off and separate it from the transmission take these oil lines off hopefully uh it doesn't spill all all around the bucket and it actually goes in the bucket let's hit it you hear that I do it's like air it's sucking why is it doing that what the heck was this thing low on oil oh there okay so there's a little bit I feel like it should be gushing out right now that was weird I don't know Mark this doesn't look very promising oh dude uh uh where's the rest of it you know usually the bottom of the transmission kind of flows when you first open it up it's not doing that this is uh pretty bad that transmission should be full knowing how it was driven uh not very nicely as you guys know it's uh not good to not have uh Cooling and lubrication when uh the gears are spinning at 9,000 RPM this banjo fitting has a washer on one side and a washer on another and this one was stuck so I pulled this off and now it's in this bucket and uh it's brass it's not magnetic you're going into the soup uh oh gross did you get it I got it boom got you guys fortunately unfortunately because of the smoke clutch all this has to come out anyways and it'll be down on a workable cart and probably now we'll just use a tear down table for the transmission maybe open it up and just take a look inside hopefully the transmission's good because rebuilding a trans is uh not fun I've never done a Ferrari trans that'll be a first and who knows how expensive it is to get if we could even get $599 parts and then if we have to buy a whole new transmission I don't know how much they're going to be I have a feeling never mind look how clean this car is one of the most beautiful body lines going to go down in history is one of the sexiest Ferraris of all time in my opinion you have a DCT transmission so with the paddles I remember the first time I drove a 458 I was like this is the craziest fastest shifting Ferrari or car at that time I'd ever driven I had an opportunity to drive one at Monterey carweek in like 2012 insane like just 2 years after the car had come out I remember having I had my Maserati Grand Turismo back then all right what else we got here we got Lamborghinis we got Porscha there's always crazy stuff of this so genuinely curious to know what this car is like cuz I hear amazing things about it it is the 296 this Ferrari is allegedly the Ferrari that all the sf90 drivers people who have owned SF 9s have said this is a better car than the sf90 that is a steep claim price tag is a lot more reasonable damn you can see all the hybrid cables there what's interesting about this is they didn't opt to do the red cover they actually have it like silver I have not spent much time with this car yet I think it's also a beautiful car this is looking straight up because race car we got the 488 another 458 oh man this a Ferrari row Testa Rosa classic a lot of people here it's one of the largest shows in Southern California you guys look at this if you like cars you can find anything here protective film Solutions we've got Damon's 599 here and as you can see it is nearing the final stage of the vinyl wrap the full body is wrapped in red and as we mentioned the roof is satin block which ties into the carbon fiber components as well one thing you'll see on this car and this is something that we have the option of doing is doing with or without out door jams Damon has learned a long time ago not to buy yellow cars not to buy orange cars green cars and the reason why is he typically wraps all of them this car will get the final Graphics get the wheels put back on and get ceramic toed but we're curious your guys's thoughts on this Damon still has a few ideas for how he's going to take the direction of this build as you can see on Dave's car he's got the manual conversion he's got a straight pipe exhaust on it he's got some Arrow going on comment below should Damon do a full build and Go full race car with full Arrow if you change it to a center exit exhaust
