Samsung Galaxy Grand MAX Gaming Review

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Max: A Mid-Range Android Device with Decent Gaming Performance

I have the Samsung Galaxy Grand Max with me today, and as you can see, it's a mid-range Android device by Samsung. As we'll be doing a gaming review on this device, I'll provide you with an in-depth analysis of its performance.

The Sound Output: A Decent but Not Loudest Experience

I've received several questions about the sound output of this device, and I'd say it's decent but not the loudest. It's not like it's very tiny either, so if you're looking for a good audio experience, this might be suitable for your needs. However, I do notice that sometimes it gets stuck up, particularly with touch sensitivity in games like Dead Figure 2. But after a minute or so, it starts working again, and the sound quality is still pretty good.

Moving on to the next game, Asphalt, it played well too. Now, let's try out Brothers in Arms 3, a free-to-play FPS game that you can download directly on your device. Here's my sound meter, which is about 6 inches from the device. As you can see, the sound output is decent but not the loudest. It's staying between 80 to 85 dB, which is not as high as some other devices I've tested. However, it's still pretty good, and I can hear the sounds clearly.

Playing another level of Brothers in Arms 3, it's playing well too. You might need to turn up the volume a bit, but overall, the sound quality is good. Now, let's move on to some even heavier games like Modern Combat 5. As you can see, it's handling it pretty well, and the touch sensitivity is still working fine.

The Touch Sensitivity: A Little Bit Sticky at Times

One thing I noticed about this device is that the touch sensitivity can be a bit sticky at times. It happens on my trigger as well, where sometimes it feels like the screen is not responding properly. But for the most part, the touch sensitivity is pretty good. My daughter even mentioned that she's played casual games and didn't notice any issues with the touch sensitivity.

However, when playing more demanding games like Modern Combat 5, I do notice that the touch sensitivity can be a bit sluggish at times. It takes a bit longer for the screen to respond, which can be frustrating in fast-paced games. But overall, it's still pretty good, and I can see why Samsung included this device in their lineup.

The Hardware: A Decent Performance

As you can see, my device is powered by the Snapdragon 410 processor, paired with the Adreno 306 GPU and 1.5 GB of RAM. This might seem like a modest setup compared to some other devices on the market, but I'm happy to report that it's able to handle most games without any issues.

I've been gaming for over 15 minutes now, and this device has not exhibited any heating issues. The temperature is still around 39°C near the earpiece, which is relatively cool compared to some other devices. And if you look towards the back of the device, it's even cooler, with a temperature around 39-40°C. Overall, I'm impressed with the cooling system in this device.

Conclusion

Overall, I'm happy with the performance of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Max. It might not be the best gaming device on the market, but it's definitely capable of handling most games without any issues. The sound quality is decent, and the touch sensitivity is still pretty good despite some minor issues. With 16 GB of internal storage, this device should be suitable for most users who don't need a lot of storage space.

If you're looking for a mid-range Android device with decent gaming performance, I would definitely recommend considering the Samsung Galaxy Grand Max. It's a solid choice for anyone who wants a reliable and capable device without breaking the bank.
