**Project Update: Engine Installation**
We're making progress with our latest project, and it's been an exciting experience so far. As we work on installing the engine, we're taking things one step at a time to ensure everything goes smoothly. One of the challenges we faced was getting the transmission under the car, which required some careful maneuvering.
To overcome this hurdle, we used a cherry picker to hold one side of the transmission in place while we slid it into position. It was a bit of a tight squeeze, but we managed to get everything where it needed to be. Once we had the transmission installed, we dropped the car down over the motor to ensure everything was secure.
As we work on the engine installation, we're discovering that there are still some adjustments that need to be made. We've identified a few things that need to be changed or removed, such as the wiring harness and the AC lines, which will need to be taken out before we can proceed. Additionally, we're going to need to remove the front mount to make more room for the engine.
**Wiring Harness Removal**
One of the first steps in preparing the engine installation is removing the old wiring harness. This task requires some care and attention to detail to ensure everything comes apart cleanly and without damage. We'll be taking out the wires, connectors, and any other components that are attached to the harness.
We're also going to need to disconnect the transmission cooler lines, which will allow us to work on the engine installation without any issues. This is a crucial step in ensuring the entire process goes smoothly.
**Transmission Installation**
Now that we've removed the old wiring harness, it's time to focus on the transmission installation. We're using a special device called a cherry picker to hold the transmission in place while we slide it into position. It's a bit of a tight squeeze, but we're managing to get everything where it needs to be.
**Engine Installation**
Once we had the transmission installed, we dropped the car down over the motor to ensure everything was secure. We'll need to make some adjustments to the engine mounts before we can proceed with the installation. This includes removing the front mount and making room for the engine by taking off any obstructions.
We're getting close to completing the engine installation, but there's still a bit of work left to be done. The next step will be to install the new wiring harness, which requires some care and attention to detail to ensure everything comes apart cleanly and without damage.
**Final Preparations**
Before we can finish up with the engine installation, we need to take out a few more components that are getting in the way. These include the transmission cooler lines and the control arms on the rear of the car. We'll also be taking off the front mount to make more room for the engine.
With these final preparations completed, we're ready to start working on the next stage of the project. We'll need to install new mounts, wiring harness, and other components that were previously removed. With Hayden's help, we should be able to complete the project in no time.
**Project Completion**
We've reached a significant milestone with our latest project, and it's been an exciting journey so far. With Hayden's help, we'll be completing the engine installation soon. We're looking forward to seeing the finished product and can't wait to share it with you all. Stay tuned for more updates on this project as we work through the final stages.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enoh got the MR2 backed in I'm going to go ahead and clean up some of the stuff around it before I get started on it but once I get that done I'm going to jack up the back end of it and get that K20 over here Bolt the to it and try to slide it under there and then drop the car down around the motor and then maybe use the cherry picker to kind of lift it up and see where it's going to need to sit just got the back of the MR2 jacked all the way up uh my jack stands are maxed out so I can't go any higher in the back unless I left it attached to the cherry picker but I can't do that cuz I have to pull that out of the way to slide the motor in and uh where it's at right now uh the motor is not going to be able just to slide right in unless I pull that K member out right there I went ahead and measured it it's not not enough room to get the motor under there so I'm going to have to pull that off slide the motor in with the and then put it back on so then I can reassemble the uh like wheel assembly on each side so then I can drop it back down on its tires and then hopefully get the cherry picker over the top of it and then kind of lift the motor up into place and kind of see where it needs to be so I'm going to work on that right now get that K member dropped and then I'll get the motor over here over you lose it all together and into theil we just got our new little heat press in today it's a bit smaller than I thought it was but this will still work for now right now Charlie's getting some vinyl cut out and also I freaking ordered the wrong heat transfer paper this was supposed to be 15 in by 5 yard and I accidentally ordered 15 in by 12 in so we have like no material still so I did get more on the way but we're going to show you guys how to make make a shirt so after we got it cut out you just got to peel away the excess then once we get all that done we'll show you how to put it on the shirt and then just press it on there head the yeah so you want to line it up like with this bottom seam right here we're going to put it right along there right across your nipples see I would bring it down a little more overall the whole thing like quite a bit a good inch like right there good A little crooked it send it a little good like that looks nice and straight so just going to do the first one for just like 8 seconds Winn feeling pretty good yeah now peel the outer layer off in construction it looks beautiful from the I now put it back under for 20 feel that there you have it the winners of the red bullace and it's done see it can that's pretty good put it down on the ground contr show all the other ones we made just so far we got that one that was the first uh intercooler one we did and we just have like the basic design that one's in like a chrome silver and we just got these like uh just white with the regular like YouTube logo next to it so yeah we won't have many of these right now but we will make more later once we get more material cuz I messed up and didn't order the right wear this one this one looks pretty good looks oh hell yeah boosted boys it's like a sparkly gold too from Tim G Goode see you next time except it's going to be backwards in the mirror didn't enough it I should wash it it's a little wrinkled but yeah well I washed all of them beforehand yeah I washed all the shirts on hot just to like make sure they don't shrink after we make them so okay it took a while but I finally got the transmission on there uh there's just two bolts holding it on right now and I was using the cherry picker to kind of hold this side up so I could slide it on there and right now I'm going to take it off of the cherry picker and then just kind of drag it under the car and then I'll let the car down around the motor do all right guys so we got it under the car that was a uh as you can see the oil pan scraped all over the ground it would have made our lives way easier if we had like a little dolly or something we could have put the motor on to just kind of roll it in there instead of having to drag it in there but we didn't have anything to do that so we were just kind of forced to do that that's all we could do to get in under there for now so definitely going to get like a little dolly or something next time but it's in there for right now looks pretty good ready to to drop the car down on it uh I might have to cut or remove this little like piece of plastic right there it might hit but other than that everything looks like it should clear just fine so I'm going to go ahead and get the cherry picker hooked up to the car again and pull the jack stands out and then drop it down over the motor to to l l all right so we got the motor down in there uh there's probably a lot of things I should have done before we did put it in there cuz I'm going to have to change the wiring harness out so I probably should have taken all that off I probably should have pulled the ac lines there's probably a lot of things in there I should have pulled off but oh well it's in there and uh I didn't even put the K member back on I just I wanted to see if we could drop the car down without it and you can uh it holds itself up on its own it just kind of has like a four-wheel steering now the back tires are all Loose as but uh yeah it's in there so now as far as mounts I need to like take off there's like a front one right here I need to pull that guy off and I need to hook the cherry picker up and then get it up to where I want it and I'm probably just going to call it good for tonight I mean I might not even hook it up to the cherry picker just yet cuz I don't want to leave it just hanging overnight but we'll see I want to at least get it up in the air and see how much room I have all right so I'm just going to end it right here guys uh I did get the motor jacked up like almost fully to where it needs to be height-wise but there's still like a couple things I need to disconnect just cuz they're getting in the way right now like for instance this uh Reservoir right here the transmission right there is hitting on this so I don't need this at all so I need to take that out and also before I jack it up again like tomorrow I need to take off uh can't really see it but there's like these uh like right back in there it's right here you can kind of see the light on it but it's like the control arms on the back there I'm going to pull those off cuz it keeps hitting on those as well and just mainly those two things and also this Mount up in the front cuz it's trying to rest against that so I need to get rid of that and just make a little bit more room I should have done that in the first place but it's not too big of a deal it'll be it'll be fast but I'm just going to stop on it right there for now cuz it's getting pretty late so this is a good stopping point at least I got got it kind of in there I mean not really but it's whatever and uh I think Hayden might be coming over tomorrow he might help me out with the m and figuring things out so we'll see but that's all for tonight so thank you guys for watchingoh got the MR2 backed in I'm going to
