today i am off to another car meet i am off to my very good friends at the b road hunting club the guys that did the cosmetic modifications to ruby probably 12 maybe 18 months ago now and they're holding a like a coffee morning at their new clubhouse and i've been invited along and ruby's going to be on display the only challenge i've got is i spent all yesterday afternoon making her all lovely and beautiful and clean and it's raining right not in the plan but let me fill you in on what's about to happen so we are on our way to the b road hunting club um coffee house and on our way i'm going to meet up with a mate of mine neil uh gp2 owner and then we're going to drive in convoy from there so this should be a good day hopefully lots of very cool minis um and just a bit of fun really so join me for the ride well i'm gonna god i can't believe it's raining so annoying this weather is horrible why is that always the way you spend a couple of hours getting your car all lovely and ready for a car me and it rains on the way there so when you get there it's all minging but have no fear i have a cunning plan one of the reasons i'm arriving early uh is because the guys have got a detailer i'm just gonna give ruby rose a bit of a spritz when we get there so she's looking fine um but yeah i haven't done a film with the roadster for quite a while actually since locked down i guess i'm happy to report all is good i have just noticed i think i need a new front windscreen wiper which is a little bit annoying but i can get on to that next week even i have the mechanical skill to replace a windscreen wiper um and no other major plans for this car in terms of modification this year i do have a big plan for her but um the kind of various partners i'm talking to i think we'll probably end up doing it next year but now she's good i'm in quiet mode no party mode on the way this morning it's too early to wake the neighbors and the other thing to mention by the way is i think if you saw my collection of charlie clubman um in that i had i showed you my key fob so i got a really cool break this key for from a company called fun fobs now fun fobs do a whole range of mini accessories um and the ones they do for the series three minis are really cool they do the little um brake discs that i've got they've got a number of different designs of that and then they do these other um really lovely uh metallic uh key fob covers if you like or key covers it just turns the key it doesn't make really cool and then they do some really nice things like phone mounts and stuff so uh very coolly talking to you guys uh as many things as i can i have a link to fun fobs i'll put it in the description below and pin it to the comment um and you can go through that link to their neil's car because we'll look at lots and lots of lovely cars today but i just this is this is a properly well used well-loved gp2 and what i really love about it look he's got good styling stickers and also smps 2012 nhs hero sticker very cool what's this don't wash this car it's protected by luxury car wax hopefully hashtag no sponge yes right the next thing we need to do is get in the car head off to the b road hunting club right come on so we've got 79 miles which is why we left so early so we should arrive just before nine o'clock the whole event starts at 10 o'clock but that should give us enough time to make our cars look all pretty again because i think by the time we get there then we ming it and apparently neil knows some good roads on the way look forward to this it's also it's also clearly quite um a positive driver in the very best way ah good fiesta get out the way this minis coming through i have to put them we put parts mode on oh this is a banging bit of road this now what better way to spend a saturday morning than a convoy with two very cool minis to a mini me this is excellent i should do this part more often after last week's car me and drive up i just thought of it you know what i don't go to enough car meet it is so lovely to just go and look at lovely cars but meet people and you know like last week had lots of people come up to oh hi you know and say hello and it's great to meet you guys and hopefully i'll get to meet lots of people today because it's a minivan um but yeah one of this this road's a bigger piece of road oh that's so childish it's very cool though i think neil went that way on purpose wake up people the millies are coming through i know that that exhaust mode is is obnoxious in in all kinds of ways oh i love my popcorn machine what i would say um is if i could do the stage 2 map again i probably wouldn't have the pops and bangs as raucous as they are i would probably either back them off or remove them entirely it pops so they only happen in sport mode and it kind of pops a bit when it's not in sport mode especially when it's warm but they are good fun but they do they do weigh your patience quite quickly but well you only live once didn't you well after a couple of hours some of the best roads i've driven in a long time we are very nearly here in fact we are less than half a mile away so we will pull up and then i'll show you around the new b road hunting club coffee house so this cooper's at cooper's event i've got no idea how many cars are going to be here obviously they're all well i don't know whether they're all minis actually predominantly will be minis but the guys at b road hunting club do do other things other than minis here we go in fact there's rog himself morning mates how are you buddy did we do corona pumps uh you are in front of the stag sign all right but oh nice gp3 there yeah up reverse back towards the stack side right in front all right okay guys we have arrived and i've done important things like already sampled the coffee and happy to report it is excellent so this is the be road hunting club's new clubhouse and i have to say it's a brilliant venue so let's take a walk around there's some very special cars here already technically the show doesn't actually start for another half an hour we've got a huge big field just there that i'm sure will fill up with minis and some pretty good stuff on display including gp3 gp2 and gp1 the ruby road roadster is private place right outside the clubhouse check out the car next to her awesome one we are i must admit they do look very very cool in the flesh now and so far we're still three minutes from when the show's officially meant to start and this big field at the side of the lodge is just perfect for akami and it is absolutely ram full of some mega mega minis now i haven't been to a mini meet for ages and what i love about coming to these events is you kind of walk around and see all the different cars and the different bits of modification and you get loads of ideas for what you want to do to your car in fact i think today could end up being quite an expensive day because i got quite fancy doing that but there's so many different cars now predominantly modern minis has to be said there are a couple of classics but there's everything from kind of series one r53s all the way up to the brand new john cooper works gp and some good friends as well well that'll be over there um but yeah so let's take a bit of a look around some of the cars on show because there's some really special stuff around here okay first unbelievable car of the show going doors just check out that of course i had to do it because it was on stage now then guys this is vincent vincent my friend you have the most stunning car
