A British Car vs A British / Indian / German Car: The Ultimate Showdown
As I stood next to my Bentley Continental GT, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and rivalry. Across from me was a Jaguar I-PACE, a car that represented the future of electric vehicles. Our battle would be a clash of traditional powerhouses versus the cutting-edge technology of the 21st century.
The Bentley Continental GT boasted an impressive 6-liter W12 petrol engine, producing 635 horsepower and 900 Newton metres of torque. This behemoth of a car was equipped with all-wheel drive, courtesy of its wheel drive system. In contrast, the Jaguar I-PACE was powered by two electric motors, which combined to produce 400 horsepower and 700 Newton meters of torque. Despite these differences, both cars weighed in at a staggering 2.2 tonnes.
The key to this battle lay not in their specifications alone, but in how they would perform on the track. The Bentley Continental GT's instant power delivery was sure to give it an edge over its electric counterpart. To harness this power, I had to put the car into launch mode, which involved switching to sport mode, then stability control, and finally, automatic sport mode.
Before we began our race, I made sure to remind my viewers of the importance of subscribing to my channel and enabling notifications. This way, they wouldn't miss out on any future updates or new content. With that settled, it was time to get started. As I put the Bentley Continental GT into gear, I noticed it struggled for traction at first. However, once it got going, it proved to be a formidable opponent.
The standing quarter mile was where we decided to start our competition. The Bentley Continental GT managed to complete this distance in just 11.7 seconds, while the Jaguar I-PACE took a slightly longer 12.8 seconds. But I wasn't one to give up easily. We were going to have a rolling race from around 50 miles an hour, where I would count them in and then accelerate.
As we accelerated down the track, it became clear that the Bentley Continental GT had found its rhythm. It was quickly gaining on my opponent, and by the time we reached the midpoint of our run, it had caught up. The corners presented no challenge to this car, as it effortlessly carved through them with precision and finesse.
In the final act of our competition, I decided to put the Jaguar I-PACE through a braking test. With both cars weighing in at 2.2 tonnes, I wondered if my electric car would be able to keep up. The answer, however, was a resounding yes. As we hurtled towards a sharp bend, I floored it and slammed on the brakes.
The result was nothing short of astonishing. The Jaguar I-PACE came to a near-halt in an instant, while the Bentley Continental GT struggled to slow down. Its instant power delivery had allowed it to maintain speed for far longer than expected. As we crossed the finish line, I couldn't help but feel impressed by my opponent's performance.
But in the end, there could be only one winner. The Jaguar I-PACE may have lost this battle, but its instant power delivery and exceptional brakes made it a formidable force to be reckoned with. And as for me? Well, let's just say that electric cars of the future are definitely worth paying attention to.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enI'm in a Bentley Continental GT next to me is a Jaguar I pace and we're gonna have a Battle of Britain so a British car versus a British car sorry I should say a British / Indian car versus a British / German car very different setup as well because this obviously it's a 6-litre w12 petrol engine with 635 horsepower 900 Newton metres of torque it's called wheel drive of course as has the Jaguar bigots it's all-wheel drive from two electric motors it has a combined 400 horsepower and 700 Newton meters of torque so a bit different there what's not so different though is the fact they both weigh pretty much 2.2 tonnes so we're gonna see what happens because that thing will get off the line quickly because an electric motor gives instant power this well I'm gonna have to put it in launch mode so I do that by put it into sport I then for the stability control into sport the gearbox into automatic sport let's have a race actually before we race make sure you subscribe to this channel okay and if you're already subscribed please ensure you've got your notifications turned on because if they're not turned on you will not be alerted when we make a new upload so check that we'd have to do is hit the bell icon right let's get on with it go away first then this struggled for traction a little bit this is too easy easy way thankfully very good brakes by our pace got destroyed so much for instant talk this thing's win oh so then what would the scores on the doors while the Bentley Continental GT did the standing quarter mile in just eleven point seven seconds the IPAs however took twelve point eight seconds okay now we're gonna have a rolling race from around 50 miles an hour I put the car into just normal driving mode and then I'm gonna count them in and then we're just gonna accelerate see what happens maybe this time that will stand a better chance because it's instant power delivery should help you out right in are you ready so here we go three two one go Oh gearbox had to think about it but now I'm catching him I now I've caught him and here's a big bend so that's that done actually this thing goes on the corners very well I could have flown into there a lot quicker impressive now then one final challenge a braking test right the both weigh the same and I'm thinking that this has got better brakes than that but we shall see here we go then right through at 70 miles an hour three two one brake oh yes I was right definitely better brakes similar way but better brakes well that's your result bye bye jack electric cars of the future apparently yeah they actually are but not just yet enjoy this video please like it comment on it and share it also click on our logo to subscribe to this channel if you
