a lot of phone so if you're into phone wars or you want the bragging rights this phone has the best display on the market so if your buddy starts talking about reverse wireless charging and 90 hertz refresh rate all you got to say is 4k display game over all right so let's go through all of the specs now this phone comes in three different colors you got black purple and white for the display you got a 6.5 inch 4k oled panel with a resolution of 1644 by 3840 now that's a whopping 643 for the ppi patrol now if you want to be captain of the ppi patrol this is the phone that you need 643. now you got hdr gorilla glass 6 on the front and on the back you got the aluminium frame and the phone is ip68 dust and water resistant for the processor got the qualcomm snapdragon 865 with the adreno 650 gpu what does that mean in english flagship specs bro flagship specs now you got eight gigs of ram 256 gigs of storage and a micro sd card slot for expandable memory up to one terabyte now it's running android 10 with sony experience skin on top you got a four thousand milliamp battery that features 21 watt fast charging and 11 watt fast wireless charging you got dual stereo speakers with dolby atmos and dynamic vibration and we're going to talk about that in a minute this is sick for the cameras on the rear you got a quad setup you got a 12 megapixel wide a 12 megapixel ultra wide a 12 megapixel telephoto and a 3d timer flight lens on the front you got an 8 megapixel wide angle now you also got bluetooth 5.1 nfc a side mounted fingerprint sensor always on display and a headphone jack i repeat headphone jack is back in the building now i know what you're getting ready to say what's the difference between the sony xperia one and the mark ii you got a few upgrades number one now you got a headphone jack on the sony xperia one no headphone jack that's just whack hashtag bars next with the mark ii you got a bigger battery so the xperia one you got a 3 300 milliamp battery with the mark ii 4 000 milliamps next faster charging speeds now with the xperia 1 you got an 18 watt fast charging brick with the mark ii 21 watt fast charger brick and lastly the biggest upgrade is now you got wireless charge so the xperia 1 no wireless charge experian mark ii wireless charger on deck all right so all of that for 1200 bucks let's see what it is first things first shout out to white shoes back in the building calm down okay here we go sony xperia mark ii also known as the mark deuce got a nice white box giggity nice and clean very simple inside the box this is going to be your mark deuce see what else you got got your usual books and pluck them and follow them this is going to be your 21 watt fast charging brick they was nice enough to throw in some wired headphones since you do have a headphone jack why not get some nice quality sony headphones let's see do we got inline controls we sure do you got a button for playing pause okay shoes inspect those for quality and you got a usb type-c charging cable wow there it is okay so usb type-c to usb type-c usb type c insert on the brick and of course some different size ear tips and that's pretty much it now for the mark deuce of course i went with wesley snipes black check this out let me do the smell test real quick as wesley snipes would say always better on black passenger 57 this is sick all right now the build quality of this a1 gorilla glass 6 gorilla glass 6 aluminium frame you got your headphone jack on the top on one side this is your sim tray on the other side volume up and down there's your power button with the fingerprint sensor built in got a dedicated camera button eight megapixel camera in the front quad setup on the rear let's get a little wipe down for that dramatic effect bun this is sick now just for size comparison here's the sony xperia 1 here's the mark deuce both of these 21 by 9 aspect ratio so you're gonna have that narrow feel to them equally as narrow all right so let me pause the video i'll set up everything and we'll get back to the uh os walk around talk amongst yourselves all right josh i'll be back in now i've been using this phone for about a week so i'm ready to give y'all my full review now just like any other product that i reviewed there's always going to be some things that i don't like so let's talk about those first number one the price 1200 bucks the price is tgh now if you're new to my channel that means to get damn high all right sony calm down for that price they should have thrown some wireless earbuds and they should have through a high refresh rate they should have do some reverse wireless charging there's a lot of stuff missing on this phone for 1200 bucks now i'd have been comfortable paying a thousand bucks because you do got the 4k display which is beautiful but the 4k display is limited as of right now netflix and amazon is capped out at 1080p now hopefully that will come with an update but again for 1200 bucks that's tgh to get damn high and gat is spelled g80 next the phone is kind of narrow now the 21 by nine aspect ratio when i first started using xperia one it took me a while to get used to now i use this phone for two weeks straight in paris this was my main phone and i did get used to it but if you got big fat fingers like me you might not like this all right when you're typing on the keyboard you're gonna notice you make a lot of mistakes now just for comparison let me pull out another phone here's an iphone 11 pro max look at the difference in the width now it might not seem like much you see that little bit of difference it might not seem like that much right now but when you type in you will notice that difference and like i said if you got fat fingers this might not be the phone for you next no face unlock now i don't like that no face unlock at all even if you go to uh smart lock no trusted faces no face unlock at all now i know somebody's gonna say yeah well coronavirus everybody's wearing masks that's because when you're in your house you're not wearing a mess and that's the majority of times you're gonna be using the phone in your house in your car and at work somewhere where you're going to be outside or somewhere you're going to be inside chilling half of the time when you've got your mask on you shop on it you're doing your thing you're not really on the phone face unlock would have been nice especially since the fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side so now if you pick up the phone with your left hand you got to set up this fingerprint it's just cumbersome it's just annoying they should have had a face unlock next no 90 hertz refresh rate now i'm going to stop at 90. of course you can go higher than that you can go 120 or you go to 144 no no no high refresh rate let me put it like that no high refresh rate now you do got that beautiful 4k display for the bragging rights just keep it clean for the bragging rights but if i had to choose 4k display or high refresh rate i'll take a higher refresh rate next now this is something i noticed the charging speeds i don't like this 21 watt fast charging for 1200 bucks that ain't enough now you got these one plus phones and these oppo phones charging up from zero to 100 in about an hour this phone charges from zero to fifty percent in 30 minutes that's not bad but zero to a hundred percent it takes two hours that's too goddamn long right sony we need at least at least a 40 watt fast charging brick 45 watt you see apple got 65 watt we need a fast charging brick especially with a 4k display your battery is going to drain faster if you rock it at max brightness and all of the max settings you want that faster charging speeds and lastly now this is kind of petty but no reverse wireless charging now again if you got a samsung a galaxy s20 ultra got a galaxy note and you got used to having reverse wireless charging you rock a lot of wireless earbuds there's nothing like going out to dinner or going somewhere and putting your earbuds on the back of your phone charging it up and then when you leave that dinner or wherever you at your earbuds are at maximum capacity that's not a gimmick if you start using it and you get used to it it's going to be hard to go back to not having it so i'm happy that they added wireless charge because you see with the xperia one you didn't have wireless charge so i'm gonna give him credit for that but if you're gonna add wireless charge and you still got a glass back why not add reverse wireless charging look at shoes she was trying to take a nap all right now with that being said on the scale of 1 to 10 this phone is a major major major go the best thing about this phone to me is the camera this is a camera phone okay now all cell phones nowadays have cameras this is one of those camera cameras right this is a real camera phone now i'm going to say this i'm not a photographer when i use cell phones for me all of my pictures come like this i open up the camera i just want to do point and shoot i don't got time to go to pro mode and change the white balance and change the shutter speed change the exposure and change all of this and change all of that i don't do that but that's just me if you're a photographer this is the phone that you want this is like having a digital camera in your pocket all right this is a beast camera not to mention the build quality on this is a1 let's break it down all right first things first build quality y'all know i got to say it feels so good in the hands ladies you know the procedures i love it all right gorilla glass 6 on the front and on the back aluminium frame and it's water resistant all right so no complaints with the build quality and you got wireless charging next display check this out always on status that let you put a picture yeah all your notifications time date and look how bright it is now that was one of the things that i loved about the x1 you see this is my paris phone still got my paris picture on deck i love this always on display now there's a couple of different ways you can open up the device you can swipe up putting your pattern in your pin like i said no face unlock but you got the fingerprint sensor mounted into the side and that's one of the difference between the x1 and the mark deuce you see on this one you had a a separate fingerprint sensor and then the power button underneath i didn't like that this one now the power button is embedded well actually the fingerprint sensor is embedded into the power button and it works surprisingly well you're never going to be going like this trying to open it up no once you put that finger on the side it's going to pop open now of course soon as i say that that's because i was going like this i messed it up let me try that one more time uh sony is trolling i'm sorry shoes i yelled out i scared shoes alright let's do that again there it is all right so the fingerprint sensor is super unresponsive you're not gonna have any problems at all i know this is live videos that's the struggles that you got to deal with latest processor gpu super silky smooth no lag at all now 4k display of course no need to say it but you can see it for yourself it looks beautiful it's stunning now i rock my phones on max brightness i will say this they claim it goes up to 600 nits brightness but outdoors it's definitely not the brightest phone in the market the galaxy phones definitely get brighter so if you work for the mail for the post office or ups or somewhere where you always outside you do construction you might want to think about that right because you're going to be outside you're going to be using your phone in direct sunlight all the time this is not the brightest phone in the market but it does get mad bright let's go through the setup real quick got all your basic toggles okay of course you got screencast let's take it over to the basic settings let's see you got vpns private dns got nfc all right tap and pay android pay let me wipe it down one more time my bad y'all i'm back here sweating so if y'all see me uh dripping all over the place i got to turn the air condition off to make these videos because the ac sound is too loud and if i open the windows xerxes be peeling out my screen i'll be getting mad flies nevertheless i digress appearance okay so you got different wallpapers you got live wallpapers if you want i like to leave it black to save some battery you got your always on display like i said you can add a picture if you want that's the one i got right now but you got a whole bunch of different stickers okay you can have your music information shown or not leave that on you got different clocks alright those are the different clocks for your always on display nice and clean let's go to uh let's see battery now let me talk about the battery real quick that bump in the battery makes a huge difference and that was one of the things that i didn't like about the xperia one if you like me 4k display you're gonna rock it on max brightness the battery was dying way too fast this one the battery lasts way longer now i'm not gonna say you're gonna get eight hours using it heavy on max brightness but you can easily get eight hours if you turn on stamina mode turn an adaptive battery and lower the display brightness right last little charge almost two hours that's right eight or eight minutes yeah i just took this off the charger a little while ago let's go to sound now check this out front facing dual speakers the speakers on this phone sound great but the only thing that they lack in is a little bit of bass but you got the dynamic vibration which makes up for that we're going to talk about that in a minute okay you got dolby atmos too like i said they sound great let's see uh secure let's go to security real quick like i said on smart lock let me put my pin in real quick on smart lock there's no trusted faces all right so you never got that basically no face unlock at all let's see you got tips and tricks uh stamina mode battery care blah blah blah no need to go through that that's pretty much it now you also got side sense so if you hit the phone on the side it's hard to do on camera hold up let me and i got to hold the phone naturally there it is it's hard because my arms are stretched out if it's closer it'll be easier to see but this is your side sense so basically tap on the side of the phone you can have different apps you got quick toggles all right so i can turn on my flashlight on and off i can do split screen mode notification center or one hand mode so basically what you're supposed to do is just go like this and then say i want to take it over to the gram bomb i'm on the ground just like that all right so say i'm on my home screen pull the phone into my pockets ah hold up there it is take it right over to the gram now it seems like i'm struggling but like i said my arms is extended mad long if i was holding the phone naturally and playing around you get used to it and it does work nice it's a nice little gimmicky feature let's see what else uh matter of fact let's pull up a youtube video so y'all can see the display and listen to these speakers and we'll talk about dynamic vibration all right so i got my usual test video queued up check this out full screen 4k panel look how beautiful this looks you got immaculate viewing angles now if you hit the volume button you see dynamic vibration the more you increase that the phone is vibrating with the bass so even though it doesn't sound like it has a lot of bass you feel the bass shaking so when you gaming or you're watching videos the phone is actually vibrating like crazy in my hands this is so sick now of course if you want to you can lower the dynamic vibration this is what it completely off i don't know if you can hear the difference so let's put it back up but you can definitely feel it it's vibrating like crazy i love this feature it kind of gives you a mental feeling of the phone having a lot of bass it's crazy look at that display though this is insane alright so now let's check the web browsing speeds go to apple.com opening webpage there it is now this is the full website no 90 hertz refresh rate but it still scrolls nice and fast nice and smooth now check this out here's the side sense so we'll do side sensor real quick let's do some split screen multitasking so we'll do youtube and let's do uh chrome on the bottom and there it is all right so we got a man john a light i watch our detective vlad on the top seven years old now correct and shop on apple at the same time you know you're not uh you're not a frail guy this is pretty sick all right now this is how it's gonna look phone face unlock would have been nice especially since the fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side so now if you pick up the phone with your left hand you got to set up this fingerprint it's just cumbersome it's just annoying they should have had a face unlock next no 90 hertz refresh rate now i'm going to stop at 90. of course you can go higher than that you can go 120 or you go to 144 no no no high refresh rate let me put it like that no high refresh rate now you do got that beautiful 4k display for the bragging rights just keep it clean for the bragging rights but if i had to choose 4k display or high refresh rate i'll take a higher refresh rate next now this is something i noticed the charging speeds i don't like this 21 watt fast charging for 1200 bucks that ain't enough now you got these one plus phones and these oppo phones charging up from zero to 100 in about an hour this phone charges from zero to fifty percent in 30 minutes that's not bad but zero to a hundred percent it takes two hours that's too goddamn long right sony we need at least at least a 40 watt fast charging brick 45 watt you see apple got 65 watt we need a fast charging brick especially with a 4k display your battery is going to drain faster if you rock it at max brightness and all of the max settings you want that faster charging speeds and lastly now this is kind of petty but no reverse wireless charging now again if you got a samsung a galaxy s20 ultra got a galaxy note and you got used to having reverse wireless charging you rock a lot of wireless earbuds there's nothing like going out to dinner or going somewhere and putting your earbuds on the back of your phone charging it up and then when you leave that dinner or wherever you at your earbuds are at maximum capacity that's not a gimmick if you start using it and you get used to it it's going to be hard to go back to not having it so i'm happy that they added wireless charge because you see with the xperia one you didn't have wireless charge so i'm gonna give him credit for that but if you're gonna add wireless charge and you still got a glass back why not add reverse wireless charging look at shoes she was trying to take a nap all right now with that being said on the scale of 1 to 10 this phone is a major major major go the best thing about this phone to me is the camera this is a camera phone okay now all cell phones nowadays have cameras this is one of those camera cameras right this is a real camera phone now i'm going to say this i'm not a photographer when i use cell phones for me all of my pictures come like this i open up the camera i just want to do point and shoot i don't got time to go to pro mode and change the white balance and change the shutter speed change the exposure and change all of this and change all of that i don't do that but that's just me if you're a photographer this is the phone that you want this is like having a digital camera in your pocket all right this is a beast camera not to mention the build quality on this is a1 let's break it down all right first things first build quality y'all know i got to say it feels so good in the hands ladies you know the procedures i love it all right gorilla glass 6 on the front and on the back aluminium frame and it's water resistant all right so no complaints with the build quality and you got wireless charging next display check this out always on status that let you put a picture yeah all your notifications time date and look how bright it is now that was one of the things that i loved about the x1 you see this is my paris phone still got my paris picture on deck i love this always on display now there's a couple of different ways you can open up the device you can swipe up putting your pattern in your pin like i said no face unlock but you got the fingerprint sensor mounted into the side and that's one of the difference between the x1 and the mark deuce you see on this one you had a a separate fingerprint sensor and then the power button underneath i didn't like that this one now the power button is embedded well actually the fingerprint sensor is embedded into the power button and it works surprisingly well you're never going to be going like this trying to open it up no once you put that finger on the side it's going to pop open now of course soon as i say that that's because i was going like this i messed it up let me try that one more time uh sony is trolling i'm sorry shoes i yelled out i scared shoes alright let's do that again there it is all right so the fingerprint sensor is super unresponsive you're not gonna have any problems at all i know this is live videos that's the struggles that you got to deal with latest processor gpu super silky smooth no lag at all now 4k display of course no need to say it but you can see it for yourself it looks beautiful it's stunning now i rock my phones on max brightness i will say this they claim it goes up to 600 nits brightness but outdoors it's definitely not the brightest phone in the market the galaxy phones definitely get brighter so if you work for the mail for the post office or ups or somewhere where you always outside you do construction you might want to think about that right because you're going to be outside you're going to be using your phone in direct sunlight all the time this is not the brightest phone in the market but it does get mad bright let's go through the setup real quick got all your basic toggles okay of course you got screencast let's take it over to the basic settings let's see you got vpns private dns got nfc all right tap and pay android pay let me wipe it down one more time my bad y'all i'm back here sweating so if y'all see me uh dripping all over the place i got to turn the air condition off to make these videos because the ac sound is too loud and if i open the windows xerxes be peeling out my screen i'll be getting mad flies nevertheless i digress appearance okay so you got different wallpapers you got live wallpapers if you want i like to leave it black to save some battery you got your always on display like i said you can add a picture if you want that's the one i got right now but you got a whole bunch of different stickers okay you can have your music information shown or not leave that on you got different clocks alright those are the different clocks for your always on display nice and clean let's go to uh let's see battery now let me talk about the battery real quick that bump in the battery makes a huge difference and that was one of the things that i didn't like about the xperia one if you like me 4k display you're gonna rock it on max brightness the battery was dying way too fast this one the battery lasts way longer now i'm not gonna say you're gonna get eight hours using it heavy on max brightness but you can easily get eight hours if you turn on stamina mode turn an adaptive battery and lower the display brightness right last little charge almost two hours that's right eight or eight minutes yeah i just took this off the charger a little while ago let's go to sound now check this out front facing dual speakers the speakers on this phone sound great but the only thing that they lack in is a little bit of bass but you got the dynamic vibration which makes up for that we're going to talk about that in a minute okay you got dolby atmos too like i said they sound great let's see uh secure let's go to security real quick like i said on smart lock let me put my pin in real quick on smart lock there's no trusted faces all right so you never got that basically no face unlock at all let's see you got tips and tricks uh stamina mode battery care blah blah blah no need to go through that that's pretty much it now you also got side sense so if you hit the phone on the side it's hard to do on camera hold up let me and i got to hold the phone naturally there it is it's hard because my arms are stretched out if it's closer it'll be easier to see but this is your side sense so basically tap on the side of the phone you can have different apps you got quick toggles all right so i can turn on my flashlight on and off i can do split screen mode notification center or one hand mode so basically what you're supposed to do is just go like this and then say i want to take it over to the gram bomb i'm on the ground just like that all right so say i'm on my home screen pull the phone into my pockets ah hold up there it is take it right over to the gram now it seems like i'm struggling but like i said my arms is extended mad long if i was holding the phone naturally and playing around you get used to it and it does work nice it's a nice little gimmicky feature let's see what else uh matter of fact let's pull up a youtube video so y'all can see the display and listen to these speakers and we'll talk about dynamic vibration all right so i got my usual test video queued up check this out full screen 4k panel look how beautiful this looks you got immaculate viewing angles now if you hit the volume button you see dynamic vibration the more you increase that the phone is vibrating with the bass so even though it doesn't sound like it has a lot of bass you feel the bass shaking so when you gaming or you're watching videos the phone is actually vibrating like crazy in my hands this is so sick now of course if you want to you can lower the dynamic vibration this is what it completely off i don't know if you can hear the difference so let's put it back up but you can definitely feel it it's vibrating like crazy i love this feature it kind of gives you a mental feeling of the phone having a lot of bass it's crazy look at that display though this is insane alright so now let's check the web browsing speeds go to apple.com opening webpage there it is now this is the full website no 90 hertz refresh rate but it still scrolls nice and fast nice and smooth now check this out here's the side sense so when you use the social media let's take it over to instagram see scrolling speeds are nice and fast but this is what i meant about the about the keyboard i say i want to leave a comment look at the keyboard it's a little bit narrow but you'll get used to it right little kitty cat let me go ahead and like that real nice though all right now for the main event the camera the camera on this phone is incredible it's like having a dslr right in your pocket now there's a quick way to open it up say you're having lunch minding your business and somebody's about to get punched in the mouth grab your phone press that button on the bottom yell out worldstar and start recording alright so this is your world star camera button let's go through the different modes okay so you got regular shots you got wide angle all right nice and wide giggity and you got zoom now let's go to maximum zoom it's not macro but it's a nice zoom for your different modes you got pro mode google lens slow motion portrait selfie creative effect and panorama take it over to video let's go to settings for video size you got 4k all right that's 30 frames per second full hd full hd 60 frames per second let's see you got video stabilization and sound will turn that off now check this out let's go over to uh pro mode now again i am not a photographer so half of the stuff i don't even know how to use and i don't even want to learn but again like i said if you enter photography you know what all this stuff means it's all lit you could pretty much change everything you got the single shot continuous focus manual focus i mean it's just everything it's too much stuff for me to talk about everything is on deck now here's another thing i want to show you let's go to cinema pro all right now this is kind of dope too let's hit allow for everything this is how you want to create your videos so if you're buying this phone as a youtube creator a tic toc creator whatever you do you just want to make your home videos you got a bunch of different modes and a bunch of different microphone settings you can reduce the wind noise you can change the look you got opaque bright warm strong cool soft soft monochrome this is crazy there's so many features to play with on this camera matter of fact i want to show y'all one more let's go to our different modes let's go to creative effect check this out all right now upgrade from the sony xperia 1 and if you're creative or your photographer then this is a phone that you want to check out beautiful 4k display super smooth processor loudspeakers with dynamic vibration expandable memory headphone jack always on display wireless charge water resistance this is a beast but for 1200 bucks i don't see it flying off the shelves right now especially with the new galaxy notes coming out that's more my speed the new iphone's coming out they're all going to be 1200 bucks if you really like this phone i say wait i say wait a few weeks because once the uh the note drops and the iphone and the new pixel and some of these other huawei phones coming out i see the price on this one dropping it'll be under a thousand bucks and give it a month or two anyway sony
