Unboxing - Kinect for Xbox 360

Unboxing and First Impressions: Xbox Connect

I am thrilled to finally have my hands on the Xbox Connect, which I received as a Christmas gift. As you can see from this quick shot of the box, it's a familiar design that everyone already knows about. I'm excited to share my unboxing experience with you, so let's get started.

Using My Screw Pop: A Quick Shot

I have a video on how to open the box using my trusty screw pop, which you can search for if you're interested in seeing more of that process. For now, let's focus on what's inside this exciting package. As I take out the Connect sensor, I can see that it's quite large and comes with a lot of cable management. It's easy to get lost in all these cables, but I'll make sure to keep them organized.

Taking Out the Manual

I don't think we really need to read the manual, as most users will already be familiar with the Xbox Connect. However, it does include Connected Adventures, which is an awesome addition to this package. I'm particularly excited about playing this game and can't wait to share my experience with you in future videos.

The USB Cable

Since I have a classic Xbox 360 that's a few years old, I need to use the USB adapter to connect it to the Connect sensor. This is actually quite cool, as it shows how versatile this accessory can be. I already have Xbox Live set up on my console, so I'm good to go.

Setting Up the Connect Sensor

Now that we've taken out all the extraneous packaging, let's focus on setting up the Connect sensor itself. As you can see, it does pivot from a built-in motor, which is quite impressive. The bottom of the sensor has rubber grip on it, so I don't have to worry about it moving around when I'm using it.

The Camera and Microphone Setup

One of the most exciting features of the Connect sensor is its ability to measure 3D space with multiple cameras. It's also equipped with an ambient light sensor or microphone – I prefer saying "ambient light sensor" because of my experience with the iPad, but there's a microphone on this device as well. As you can see in this side shot, there are air vents and a rubber grip on the bottom to prevent any movement.

Coiled Cable Management

After taking out all the other components, we're left with a lot of coiled cable. I'll make sure to keep these cables organized so they don't get tangled or lost.

The Final Piece: Connect Adventures

I have to say that I'm impressed by the fact that Xbox included a game in this package – sometimes accessories don't come with games, but it's great to see that they did include one. Connect Adventures is definitely going to be one of my favorite games to play on this accessory, and I'll make sure to share my thoughts on it in future videos.

That's all for now, folks! I hope you enjoyed this unboxing experience as much as I did. Until next time, happy holidays and I'll see you soon.
