Why the Final Cut Pro X Hate

**The Transition from OS9 to OS10: A New Beginning**

As many users are still trying to come to terms with the latest update from Apple, Final Cut Pro 10 has been met with both excitement and criticism. The transition from OS9 to OS10 marks a significant change for the video editing software, with many features being removed or reimagined in favor of a more streamlined and user-friendly interface.

**The Clean Start**

One of the key reasons behind this transition is the need for a clean start. Apple's decision to abandon the previous framework and begin from scratch allows them to create a better product that meets the demands of modern video editing. This approach may have been met with resistance from some users who are attached to the familiar interface of OS9, but it ultimately ensures that Final Cut Pro 10 is an improvement over its predecessor.

**Fiona Pro 7: A Legacy System**

While Apple has officially stopped supporting Fiona Pro 7, this legacy system remains available in the dock for users who still want to use it. However, it's clear that Apple's priorities lie with the new and improved Final Cut Pro 10. By continuing to support an older product, Apple is able to maintain a connection with their existing user base while also investing time and resources into creating a better future.

**Patience is Key**

As with any major change, there will be those who are quick to criticize and jump to conclusions. However, it's essential to remember that this transition is a deliberate attempt by Apple to create something truly special. Final Cut Pro 10 may not have everything from its predecessor, but it represents a significant leap forward in terms of user experience and feature set.

**The Price is Right**

One of the most surprising aspects of Final Cut Pro 10 is its price point. At $300, this video editing software is an absolute bargain, especially when compared to other industry-standard options. It's clear that Apple is committed to making their product accessible to a wider range of users, and this pricing strategy is a major factor in that.

**A New User Interface**

For those who have had the chance to explore Final Cut Pro 10, it's clear that the new interface is a significant improvement over its predecessor. With features like iMovie-inspired navigation and an intuitive workflow, this software feels more user-friendly than ever before. While some may be missing certain features from OS9, the overall experience of using Final Cut Pro 10 is undoubtedly better.

**The Big Picture**

As we move forward with Final Cut Pro 10, it's essential to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Apple's decision to abandon their old framework and create a new one represents a bold attempt to innovate and improve. While not everyone will agree that this approach is right for them, it's undeniable that the end result will be a better product for users.

**Patience Pays Off**

In the weeks and months to come, Final Cut Pro 10 will undoubtedly receive updates and improvements. As with any software, there may be teething issues or features that need to be fine-tuned, but Apple has shown time and again that they are committed to listening to their users and creating a product that truly meets their needs.

**A Positive Outlook**

Ultimately, the future of Final Cut Pro 10 looks bright. With its intuitive interface, improved feature set, and affordable price point, this software is poised to revolutionize the world of video editing. As we move forward, it's essential to approach this new chapter with a positive outlook and an open mind. By doing so, we can ensure that Final Cut Pro 10 becomes the best version of itself possible.

**Conclusion**

As we wrap up our discussion on Final Cut Pro 10, it's clear that this software represents a significant step forward for Apple and their users. With its clean start approach, intuitive interface, and affordable price point, this product is undoubtedly better than its predecessor. While there may be some growing pains along the way, patience and an open mind will ultimately pay off in the end.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys David def Franco here from Tech social.com and DDE franco.com as well as ad for.com all links below anyway today I here to talk to you guys about a very hot topic lately um at least for this week U ever since Tuesday I believe uh Tuesday June 21st of 2011 in case you guys watch this video later Apple finally released phonica Pro 10 now with this new release has come A huge amount of controversy and naysayers which I totally understand why which I will get to in a few minutes but first let me tell you why I personally am loving phonica Pro 10 so let's get some backstory here let's get a let's you know let's go back let's get a little bit history about my uh video editing um experience I guess that's the best word okay so years ago in 2004 I got my first Mac that was a power book G4 my PowerBook G4 introduced me to video editing in a Simple and Clean interface in terms of iMovie and then over time I upgraded to imov 2006 then eventually Apple just stopped supporting imov 2006 the WIP to clean with a brand new start of iMovie 2008 personally I hated it I hated iMovie 2008 it was horrible I just did not like the interface it wasn't until iMovie 2009 that I finally fell in love with imov again between 2006 and 2009 I was still using iMovie 2006 so it's not like I stopped using the mac and went over to Windows Movie Maker because I still had the choice of using iMovie 2006 I'm emphasizing choice for a reason which I'll talk about in a minute or so so I eventually fell in love with imov 2009 because they brought back a lot of features that I really liked about iMovie 2006 but with a fresh interface and then finally current day we are now using iMovie 2011 which which I personally like very much yes I realize it's very limited it's supposed to be limited it's consumer grade software it's great for what it is no it's excellent for what it is the fact that Apple provides support for green screen and iMovie that's pretty much amazing guys that's like a prevel um task right there and they're putting it in iMovie so I give props Apple for doing that so fast forwarding to Tuesday and Beyond we are now using phonica Pro 10 at least I am I have purposely obviously purposely um removed iMovie from my dock why because I'm going to force myself to use finup Pro 10 I say force myself in a good way I like the interface very much because it resembles iMovie actually you know what let me go back a little more I do legally own phonocut Express I say legally because I know a lot of people out there pirate Apple software I personally do not support that uh but hey to each his own I guess I legally bought Final Cut Express 3.5 I think it was back in the day I say back in the day it was like Year 2007 and I was really really excited about using Final Cut finally I realized it wasn't Pro but it was Express and express still had many features that I probably wouldn't ever need for my basic YouTube videos now like I said I was really excited to use fot Express however jumping into the application I just could not get into it because of the interface the simplest tasks required multiple steps now now I'm not an idiot ego time I consider myself to be smart in everything I do for the most part I do a lot of things I do YouTube videos graphic design web design photography video editing outside of YouTube and a lot of things I consider myself a prer I'm a consumer that enjoys Pro tasks now I'm not calling myself a pro a prosumer and a pro are two different things so that's personally why I never got into final God Express is because the interface many of you will disagree with me but I think the interface was horrible it just looks so dated I am a user interface freak I love a good user interface when a program works great that's awesome but a program not only has to work great but it also has to look great in my opinion I cannot use ugly software I'm sorry I know that may seem narrow minded of me but this is why we use a user interface a bad user interface leads to a bad user experience at least in my opinion for instance I cannot use Firefox primarily on the Mac because it's ugly on the Mac okay not down right ugly I shouldn't I shouldn't say that but it could look much better Safari and chrome in my opinion look a lot more elegant and they do things better now with ficon Express I could just never get into it because of the interface like the simplest things required in multiple steps I know I am repeating myself so fast forwarding to today finic up Pro 10 I realize a lot of people hate it I realize why you you guys hate it I have read multiple tweets multiple reviews I've viewed multiple videos so I see what you guys are saying I totally understand this I totally understand Apple took a lot of pro features away like multicam support and video capture um capability I believe that's one of the cons somebody tweeted me on Twitter at twitter.com the Frank if you want follow me my links right below there so anyway why do I think people are being a little overly dramatic I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this but I'm using logic when I say this if you look at phonica Pro 10 it's a totally clean start do you honestly expect Apple to retain every single feature they've ever created and bring it over to a new Final Cut version hell no now I realize I'm not a pro but I'm saying this from a user's perspective keep this in mind fonut Pro 10 R number 10 is an x correct yes turn that X into a one 1 Z that's 10 correct yes again I know we're like in kindergarten here now what if we put a period between these two numbers what happens yes that would be a version 1.0 I'm not trying to sound like a jerk here but I'm just trying to get this through everybody's heads because everybody's looking at this in the wrong way in my opinion fic Pro 10 is a new start we should be thanking Apple that they even took the time to do a clean start if they stuck with fup Pro 7 and that framework they would eventually hit a wall and they wouldn't Implement features the best way possible why do you think we made the transition from os9 to OS 10 now I was not a Mac User back in the days of os9 but I read online that a lot of people just like this experience or instance situation whatever you want to say quick jump cut there I don't like how I said that basically a lot of people were up in arms they were like oh my God everything's so different they took away features from os9 that were supposed to be in OS 10 but believe but but because OSN is a clean start it's impossible to include everything from the previous version that's just how it is guys it's technology this is something we have to deal with I mean it's not a bad thing we just have to be patient and that's another thing phonica Pro 7 guys it's not it's not going anywhere FICA Pro 7 is still in your dock you see you see the icon click it open it edit to your heart's content okay yes Apple no longer officially supports fonic pro7 that's obviously true but do you really expect Apple to concentrate on on an old product for years to come no that would be bad business okay anyway guys I'm really talking a lot here the point is Final Cut Pro 10 is new there's no reason to go all up the norm and saying this is the end of Final Cut no no no that would be um thinking narrow minded that would be Thinking Inside the Box you got to think outside the box guys Apple's doing a clean start did you honestly expect it to be the best product in the world and as another thing guys it's $300 that is cheap for pro editing software and yes I still firmly believe it is pro editing software I personally love the user user interface because it's like iMovie 2011 but much much better I now have flexibility so I personally am loving Final Cut I just think people are jumping the gun a little too easily and throwing hate towards Apple's way when honestly I firmly believe they do not deserve any hate if if anything you should be thanking Apple for putting hours upon hours and sleepless nights into recreating the framework from ground one because of this new framework we are going to have a better video editor than ever before it's just going to take time that's all be patient if you want to use phonup pro7 then use it it's still there but for users like myself who want and need a new user experience use phonica Pro 10 it's really that simple guys we should be fortunate that we even have the choice it's not like apple has deactivated your phoca pro 7 license it's not the end of the world and yes I realize fona Pro 10 cannot import fona Pro 7 um files which sucks yes also guys let's not forget apple is a very smart company they're not stupid guys do you really think Apple's going to alienate their entire user base and just lose everybody in one shot no apple is relying on you they're relying on us to be patient to use the product to submit feedback because I can guarantee you this time next year phonica Pro 10 will have a nice substantial upgrade or update whatever you want to say maybe it won't be phonica Pro 11 cuz I really don't see that I personally believe they're going to go with the whole like OS 10 kind of update basically it'll just be like you know FICA Pro 10.1 10.2 10.3 because there's no reason to jump from 10 to 11 right away and no I'm not saying all this just because I'm an apple Fanboy I really don't want to see comments like that in the uh comment section below because if you think I'm a fanboy for thinking outside the box then I personally think you need to think outside the box more again the world's not ending guys look at the big picture don't jump to freaking conclusions it's really really sad to see that people think so small in this world and yes I may be pissing some people off right now but you know what that's fine I just think optimistically I think positively and I'm a big picture kind of person anyway guys thank you so much for watching leave your thoughts regarding final Pro 10 below the video and I look forward to reading your thoughts and reviews and all that stuff and also if you have any video responses be sure to post them right around there it's somewhere around there and I'll be sure to view him and as always guys check out tech.com d.com at.com all my sites Social Links are
