TISTHESEASONATHON TBR!

**Tis the Season-a-Thon: A Reader's Challenge**

As the holiday season approaches, many readers are looking for ways to get into the spirit of things. For one enthusiastic reader, that means hosting a Tis the Season-a-Thon, a book challenge that promises to deliver a festive and fun reading experience.

**The Books**

First up is "Snow", a lengthy romance novel about an adult film star who is asked to co-star in a Hallmark Christmas movie with someone she had a crush on as a teenager. The reader is excited for this steamy holiday read, which they hope will be a great addition to their holiday bookshelf.

Next, the reader has "Remember" by Lauren Grant, a book that promises to deliver a quick and easy read. This one is special because it's written by none other than Lauren Graham, an actress best known for her iconic role as Lorelei Gilmore in the popular TV show Gilmore Girls. The reader is curious about this short book, which claims to be a collection of stories that Graham has not shared with anyone before.

**A Gift from the Library**

The reader's library also gifted them "Just Like Magic" by Sarah Hoggle, a romance novel that promises to deliver a unique and intriguing story. This book tells the tale of Betty, a frivolous young woman who is visited by the Ghost of Christmas Present and finds herself falling for him. The reader is intrigued by this unusual premise and hopes to enjoy the resulting holiday read.

**Baking with Books**

For the final challenge of the Tis the Season-a-Thon, the reader will be baking a holiday treat while reading "Meet Me Under the Mistletoe" by Jenny Bayless. This book promises to deliver a lighthearted and romantic story about two former enemies who reconnect at their old school and must navigate their feelings for each other. The reader is excited to dive into this festive romance, which they hope will be a perfect addition to their holiday reading list.

**The Reader's Plan**

So what does the reader plan to do with these books? First things first, they'll need to finish reading "Just Like Magic" before diving into any of the other books. They're not sure which one they'll enjoy most, but are excited to try them all out. The reader is also planning to record their thoughts and reactions on social media, using the hashtag #TisTheSeasonAThon. Will it be successful? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: this reader is in for a fun and festive reading experience.

**A Personal Note**

As the reader prepares to embark on this book challenge, they can't help but feel excited and eager to dive into these holiday reads. They love the idea of immersing themselves in festive stories that will get them in the mood for the season. And with a little luck and some great recommendations from friends and fellow readers, this Tis the Season-a-Thon promises to be a reading experience they'll never forget.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone my name is Heather and welcome to the channel bookables today I'm sharing with you all of the books I'm planning to read for Tis the seasonless on if you don't know that is a holiday readathon that I made up that is happening um this year next month as a matter of fact I thought I would share with you what books I'm planning to read for that before I get into all the books I'm planning to read a word from the sponsor of this video book of the month if somehow you don't know a book of the month is it is a monthly book service for you guested Book Lovers book of the month offers up to seven that's right seven selections each month for members to choose from your team meticulously goes through each month's new releases they also really focus a lot on new and emerging authors as well as diverse books as well a lot of times you can get books even before they're out that's right book of the month usually does that sometimes which is amazing so like I said there are up to seven selections each month that you can choose from and they always have a wide variety of genres whether it be fancy to see romance historical sci-fi there is a book for everybody whatever genre they like for my picks for this month the two that I chose is a first up is a thriller the last party by Claire McIntosh at midnight one of them is dead by morning all of them are suspects it's a party somebody dies you get the gist I love a good mystery thriller and I've heard a lot of good things about Claire McIntosh I'm very excited for that and the next one is kind of a contemporary with a hint of like magical realism steeped into it and that is the Wilder Woman by Ruth Emmy Lang so this is about a mom that disappears and it really follows her two daughters Nora and zadie and Nora can see like what things are happening but she couldn't predict that her mom goes missing and then zadie I think wakes up from different memories and basically they try to go find their mom and it's all about that it's a lot to deal with Sisterhood also with a lot of kind of magical realism steeped into it those are my two picks for this month they have a great selection every single month it is hard to choose just two every single month assure you me and if you're interested in of the month now is the perfect time literally I'm saying that to check it out because they're having a cyber monday deal and let me tell you the deal is amazing you can use the code cyber five at checkout to get your first book from book of the month for only five dollars which is just astonishing because their price normally is ten dollars which is a great price already but to have an amazing Cyber Monday deal where it's only five dollars like jump on that don't miss it go to your computer right now type in that code and get yourself some books because that is an amazing deal I'll link everything down below in case you want to learn more I highly recommend you checking this out for yourself or for a loved one it's a great gift as well but either way do not let this great deal pass you by because you don't want to miss it again that sniper five at checkout and you get your first book for only five dollars seriously that's amazing thank you so much to book of the month for sponsoring this video and now let's get on to the books I'm planning to read for tis the season of fun it's a little bit too ambitious I think I selected like four or five books do I think I'm gonna read those all in one week no because not only do I not read that regularly because I have two kids now but I am still in the biggest lump of my life like I have not finished a book in like a week and a half which is a lot for me I don't know what it is there has not been a remedy for it I'm just blah I don't I I wish I could tell you I don't know hopefully this readathon will kick it out who knows five challenges for this readathon if you want to know more about Tis the seasonathon I'll link everything down below we have an Instagram a Discord all that fun stuff but it's a great time it's a low-key time especially this year next year I'm planning to ramp it up a little bit more but you're not here for all that let's just get into it first challenge is to read a book set in December and honestly the majority of my books will do um one that I shall pick for this All I Want for Christmas by Maggie Knox this is about um two character Sadie and Max that are selected as contestants for this reality show called star maker and they're paired up for duet week and they have amazing chemistry the only problem is they don't like each other fans go wild and then they have to fake a relationship you know to kind of help get the ratings up all those things you get it reality TV but their dreams just Within Reach they agreed to the ruse will their fake relationship be exposed before they can win or might their phony connection be turned Real by the Christmas finale so this takes place like during Christmas at some point because they have a big Christmas finale I try to read one of other Maggie's knocks books before but couldn't get into it I think it was more like contemporary but this sounds more romance so I'm hoping to enjoy it I'm trying to stay away from all reviews this year with holiday books because I just want to go into them so that is my selection for book set in December then we have book with snow on the cover and all these really do but the one I selected for this one is a Merry Little meet cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone this one is very interesting because we have it's about a woman who is an adult film star let's just put it at that and she gets asked to be like kind of in a Hallmark Christmas movie and she's like um what but she agrees and she co-stars with this um actor that she had a really big crush on when she was younger and basically they start hooking up and they have to keep it like kind of PG because they're on a PG movie and things happen and I just know it's a steamy good time and that sounds like a great holiday read for me so this is my book for um snow on the cover it's a pretty lengthy one like it's over 400 Pages which is very long for a romance but I'm hopeful for it a book under 250 Pages for this one I'm going with have I told you this already stories I don't want to forget to Remember by Lauren Grant if you don't know Lauren Graham is an actress very famously known as Lorelei Gilmore we all know my love of Gilmore Girls I just did a freaking I just hosted the gilmore-a-thon so I love a Gilmore Girls is Real This Book is like very short it's under 200 pages I don't know if I'll love it as much but either way it's basically about stories that she has not told anyone I guess they're just gonna be funny antidotes I think it's gonna be easy to fly through I might try to listen to this honestly I don't listen to a lot of audiobooks but I feel like this one I feel like I should listen to it in Lauren Graham's voice we have book you received as a gift honestly either of these two could go for that because one I bought for myself and the other one I got from the library and I consider them both gifts because the library gifted me this book for two weeks I gifted myself this copy of this book interprets whatever you wanted to let's see for this one let's go with just like Magic by Sarah Hoggle I have written one other Sarah Huggle book and liked it I'm kind of on the unpopular opinion there a lot of people don't like it but I did this one is basically about a kid named Betty who is very frivolous and I think she gets visited by the Ghost of Christmas present and feelings start happening like she starts falling for the ghost to present which is just so odd but somehow it could work I mean I read a book this month called the dead Romantics that was basically about a woman fall in love The Ghost and I was there for it a thousand percent so why not fall in love with the Ghost of Christmas present why not Betty channel the Christmas spirit and learn to live with Goodwill towards all men or will her selfish ways return as soon as the holidays are over so this is my selection for that and last challenge is to read a book while baking a holiday treat I can use any of those I designed this challenge specifically for that in case you want to double up because I definitely will but I have another book will I read this during the readathon or not I don't know but I'm going to read it in December and that is meet me under the mistletoe by Jenny Bayless I think out of all of these this one is the one I'm least excited about um this is another Library copy um this is um about a character named Noel runs a second-hand Bookshop in London and then I think she has to go back to her old school grounds for her Union or a wedding or something and she runs into her name is Scott her her enemy that she never really liked growing up and then they get connected this time I don't I don't know Nori and Isaac who swore they're common and ground but pressures mount on all sides and Nori must decide what kind of life she wants to live and what sort of love is worth the risk this one like I said we'll see I'm planning to read like all cutesy romance books especially holiday ones in December that's what I like to do I don't like to have a lot of pressure towards the end of the year because I'm getting ready for my big all the videos I'd like to do at the end of the year the beginning of year it's kind of a big hubbub and I love that so yeah those are all the books I'm planning to read for the Tis the season-a-thon will it be successful I don't know we'll find out together I'll definitely be vlogging and hopefully having a great time reading all of these I don't know which one's gonna be amazing I don't know not but we're gonna have fun and we're gonna find out together as always thank you so much for watching and I will see you in my next video byehello
