Fedex Driver Saves The Day! Check Out My Drinking Room!

The Art of Moving Heavy Objects: A Personal Reflection

As I stand here, reflecting on the experience of moving a heavy barrel up the stairs, I am reminded of the importance of appreciating the efforts of others. Just like the fedex driver who bravely hauled that massive payload up the incline, there are many unsung heroes in our lives who put in tireless work without always receiving the recognition they deserve. In this article, I'd like to share my personal experience and pay tribute to those individuals who make a difference in our daily lives.

The Unappreciated Effort of the Fedex Driver

I was fortunate enough to have witnessed the fedex driver's impressive feat firsthand. As he effortlessly lifted the barrel up the stairs, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and admiration for his strength and determination. His unwavering commitment to getting the job done without complaint or hesitation is truly inspiring. It's not often that we get to see individuals put their skills to use in such a remarkable way, and it's a testament to the power of human capability.

My Personal Experience with Moving Heavy Objects

As for me, I've had my fair share of experience moving heavy objects, albeit on a much smaller scale. In my past life, I worked as a stone tile installer, which required an impressive amount of physical labor and mental toughness. The weight of those massive tiles was not to be underestimated, and I can confidently say that it's one of the most challenging tasks I've ever undertaken. The process involved using specialized equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, to maneuver these behemoths into place.

The Value of Recognizing Appreciation

Despite the difficulties associated with moving heavy objects, there is a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment that comes from a job well done. In our lives, we often take for granted the efforts of those around us who make our daily experiences possible. It's essential to acknowledge and appreciate these individuals, whether it's a coworker, family member, or stranger like the fedex driver. By doing so, we not only show gratitude but also encourage others to strive for excellence in their work.

My Whistle Pig Table: A New Project

With the heavy barrel adventure behind me, I've moved on to a new project – building a custom whiskey table. This involves installing wall-mounted wine bottles, a wood shelving unit, and a counter with seating. As I work on this piece, I'm excited to showcase my creativity and attention to detail. The finished product will be a unique addition to any home bar or entertainment space.

The Importance of Smart Planning

One key aspect of this project is the importance of smart planning and preparation. From selecting the right materials to ensuring a smooth installation process, every step requires careful consideration. I've learned that with the right tools and resources, even the most daunting tasks can be accomplished with ease. And, of course, having an extra pair of hands (or in this case, two) makes all the difference.

A Final Note on Appreciation

As I conclude this article, I'd like to reiterate the significance of appreciation in our lives. Whether it's a kind word, a thank-you note, or a small gift, these gestures can have a profound impact on others. In the case of the fedex driver, his efforts went largely unnoticed until now. By sharing his story and paying tribute to his hard work, I hope to inspire readers to recognize and appreciate those who make a difference in their daily lives.

The Steam Room: A New Venture

As I finish writing this article, I've received an update on the steam room installation, which is nearing completion. With the help of Aqua Defense waterproofing material, this space will be transformed into a relaxing oasis perfect for unwinding after a long day. The finishing touches will soon be applied, and I'm excited to see the finished product.

A Bottle of Whiskey: A Token of Appreciation

In honor of the fedex driver's remarkable feat, I'd like to leave out a bottle of whiskey as a token of appreciation. This gesture is a small but meaningful way to express gratitude for his hard work and dedication. Who knows? Maybe this will inspire others to recognize and appreciate the efforts of those around them.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enall right you have to give shout outs when they're due and i gotta point out uh first off thanks to whistle pig for sending me this whiskey barrel for my drinking room downstairs i'll show you that in a second but big shout out to the fedex guy who you know you look at somebody you watch somebody doing something you wish you're there to help i have my doorbell we're not even a doorbell just a security camera from ring over there and this guy backed up and he got this thing up the steps by himself and i was looking that was like the guy doesn't have a hand truck he doesn't have a second guy he back he was smart enough to back it all the way up but then these steps are not like this barrel for one person one human being and i'm not even gonna try i'm gonna go get a hand truck to move this but i don't even wanna guess how much this weighs but i would say probably in the neighborhood of a hundred pounds at least uh i guess whistle pig could tell me how much a barrel weighs look at this wait till i open this one downstairs but this thing here is going to be my centerpiece table downstairs in my drinking room and i gotta say uh people deserve credit this dude totally deserves credit for getting this up here watch this struggle right now like check this out so the guy's out of his truck looking how far and how close he can get to the house with his truck it's a little bit of a ramp it's a little bit of effort but he knows what's in the truck and i have zero qualms with him backing up even right up to the porch doesn't really matter the entire front yard's like a demilitarized zone so you're not gonna hear me complain with a guy driving on a dirt in a fedex truck i'm just super happy that he's there with my whiskey barrel so he backs up gets as close as he can as close as he's comfortable with but he's still gonna bridge the gap now here's where i would probably get creative and take a nice piece of wood and try to stretch the cross still leaves you the problem that you're on a balance beam with a barrel of whiskey opens the door and here's where i pick it up on my doorbell i'm like oh cool my barrel's there and watching this guy sort of get it off thinking that somebody inside's going to see him and come outside and help well no he's just probably used to doing things on his own so he thinks he's going to take this barrel out but probably didn't load the truck himself and he's sort of realizing just how heavy this damn thing is and you can see he's trying to find a good grip just to give the old heave hoe to transfer from the truck to the steps and yeah not really not really feeling that that's a heavy son of a if you know what i'm talking about so now if it was a barrel without that little shelf on it a little uh drink shelf it'd be awesome you could just roll it right up the steps but no this one needs a little heave hoe and here i'm like i wish i was there but even if i try to get there the guys has got to wait 10 minutes for me to get there so i'm hoping somebody inside will watch this struggle and come out and help but this guy is determined so he's like all right let me get this up let me uh see what i can do can't grab it sideways can't grab it here let me whoop don't drop it just kidding it's just a barrel nothing's gonna happen it's a big wooden barrel so here he's picking up the phone and this is where i disconnected from my feed because my phone actually started ringing randomly enough and i thought that he was calling me uh then i come back to the feed and watch he's still trying to get this thing up there and he's doing a little bump maneuver right that's where you take your knee you just get it off the ground high enough to use your leg muscles to push it up further and right there you have almost like a little victory uh almost celebratory even if you stood it up right there i don't think i would have been a complainer you got a nice whiskey barrel right in front of your door but he's like let me get this thing out of the way so it's not in the way even though the the entire porch is a hot mess right now so anywhere he left it would have been acceptable he looks first somewhere that's sort of out of the way nice and neat so he can scan that in and go back about his day either way this guy was a boss that was not easy if it was me i would add two people there but then again i don't run fedex so that guy gets a high five if you guys can help me track down whoever that is i don't know who it is uh but i owe him up i'm gonna give him a bottle of whistle pig just for making that happen i wish like there's guys in the house who didn't ring the doorbell didn't ask for help didn't he just he got that thing up there i was like oh that thing's totally going down and it's a barrel it's like donkey kong if it falls on the ground it's not really a big deal but watching this guy do this big efforts uh very under-appreciated a lot of people do a lot of stuff and i remember i and believe it or not back in the day i used to move stone tile which is probably the heaviest material known to man like dark matter it's it's heavy and uh my buddy was actually or not my buddy but the guy i worked for actually the same guy same company that delivered the tile to this house and i remember the amount of effort when you have a truck on even the slightest incline i mean you got to get the truck to where it's going to be getting that pallet jack and moving that stack of tile which could weigh thousands of pounds it's not the easiest thing and i remember i doubt i could even do it now but you got to give people credit it's usually a multi-guy job but companies multi-guys for one or two things is sort of a waste of labor so give people credit when they bust their butts don't give them a hard time for being late and all that stuff but give them a high five and give them a kudos when they deserve it this one uh fedex ground guy i if you're here just i don't know somebody like get me in touch with them uh i'll leave like a bottle by the mailbox or something or whatever but he deserves it all right let me get this downstairs now and i'll show you just how difficult it is even to move with a hand truck see this i would consider proper equipment ignore my gingerbread walls right now they're gonna get painted um this is a strap barrel and now we go down the steps oh yeah this is smart let me video take this what do you think one handed with a video camera or maybe just maybe i'll put the camera down all right wish me luck now this thing has a nice roller feature yes sir i'm an okay all right yeah it's working well this dude picked us up the steps by himself yeah let's take you with me on this journey because what can go wrong when you've got gravity on your side see this is like a tripod you know what smart people ask for help i'll be smart today can you just guide this down as i drag it down oh this is so much easier with two people that first flight of steps i'm like this isn't going as well as i thought it would it's not filled with whiskey now they're giving me all the whiskey i want but this is going to be a table so like put a piece of glass on it all right victory is mine thank you two people much better one guy very difficult this is my little whistle pig layer just so you see and get an idea of what we're doing here we're going to be doing uh wall-mounted wine bottles here and here over here we're going to do a wood shelving we're going to top level uh shelf for liquor and then a shelf like eight inches below it for glasses here i had a piece of wood here earlier i don't know where it went um shelving so effectively we're gonna have one shelf to here and up here we're gonna have a shelf that comes out about halfway to there and then over here same thing as the other side shelf over there these are all going to be lit up shelf over there on the top that'll be for a liquor and then the shelf below it for glassware split wine fridge right there it'll be uh for like champagne on the one side this side swing door and then the other side will be sodas and stuff here this will be a countertop uh there'll be seating here this will be a bench bench there that is just going to be an accent wall and then this is my whistle pig table here gonna get a piece of glass on top of it and then some uh stools that go around it i don't know if this is tall enough maybe i'll have to prop this up underneath with some legs but luckily it's made of wood so it should be relatively easy that's my steam room over there getting waterproof with aqua defense it's my flooring going in over there oh comment below all right moral of the story this barrel is heavy and i give props to the fedex driver if we can find out who he is i get a bottle of whistle pig for you buddy thank you for the effort i i my phone rang at that time too i thought the guy was like maybe calling for reinforcements but alas he did it himself all right see you tomorrowall right you have to give shout outs when they're due and i gotta point out uh first off thanks to whistle pig for sending me this whiskey barrel for my drinking room downstairs
