Is The iPad Air Worth It?

**iPad Air vs iPad Mini Retina: Is the Latest Upgrade Worth It?**

I'm a huge fan of the iPad Air, and one thing I love about it is that it's still relatively affordable at $500, which includes 16 gigs of storage. However, recently I picked up the Asus Transformer Book T100, a Windows 8 tablet with 64 gigs of storage and a keyboard dock for $400. That makes the iPad Air $100 more expensive than this one.

**Is the Latest iPad Air Upgrade Worth It?**

While iOS is $300 more expensive than Windows, it does offer some additional features that may be worth considering. However, one thing to note is that the new iPad Mini Retina is actually going to be available later this month, and it's not clear whether the new iPad Air will offer any significant upgrades.

**The Size Matters**

For me, the size of the tablet matters a lot. I prefer the smaller size of the iPad Mini, simply because even though the iPad Air has similar specs, it does offer some added features like better battery life due to more room for battery. However, on the other hand, if you're going to use a keyboard case or something on your tablet, the iPad Air is definitely bigger and might be more suitable.

**Productivity vs Portability**

For me, when I want to grab a tablet, I need something small, lightweight, fast, and good for watching videos, reading books, etc. So, in that sense, I'm not sure it competes with my laptop. While the iPad Air may have some additional features, it's not clear whether it offers enough of an upgrade to make it worth considering.

**Lamar's Take on the New iPad Air**

However, my friend Lamar had a different take on the new iPad Air when he played with one. He was really impressed by how much lighter and thinner it is compared to the previous model. The new design is also available in space gray, which I'm a big fan of.

**Lamar's Channel and More**

Lamar is also a comedy vlogger who talks about all sorts of things, including tech. His channel has a "Like Section" that comes out every Monday, where he shares his favorite things, and it looks like there might be some fun content coming up soon.

**Battery Life and Space**

One thing to note about the new iPad Air is that its battery life is actually similar to the previous model, despite having a slightly smaller battery. So, if you're looking for a tablet with great battery life, this one might not offer enough of an upgrade.

**Conclusion**

Overall, while the new iPad Air offers some additional features and a sleek design, it's not clear whether it's worth considering if you already have an older model or if you prefer the smaller size of the iPad Mini. As for me, I'm definitely going to be upgrading to the new iPad Mini Retina when it becomes available - but only time will tell!
