The Art of Doing Nothing: A Journey of Self-Discovery and Guitar Playing
As I sat at my desk, staring blankly at my computer screen, I realized that I had made an executive decision to put off going for a go-karting session. This was not the first time I had bailed on fun activities to get things done around the house, but it was certainly one of the most notable instances. I often found myself moping and wishing that I could be doing something more exciting with my friends instead of getting work done.
But as it turned out, fate had other plans. I decided to take a break from my computer and clear my mind by cleaning up my junk room, which was notoriously cluttered and chaotic. As I navigated through the carpet, which was still strewn about the floor, I felt a sense of excitement wash over me. I started playing around with some guitar stuff that I had been meaning to get to for weeks, and before I knew it, I was lost in a world of sound.
I began to mess around with my loop station pedal, layering sounds together in a way that was both experimental and mesmerizing. As I played, I felt my stress and frustration melt away, replaced by a sense of calm and focus. It was as if the act of creating music had transported me to a different realm, one where time stood still and all that mattered was the sound.
I decided to share this experience with my friends by playing them a few bars of a new little peep song that I had been working on. As I played, I could feel my fingers moving in sync with the music, creating a sense of harmony and balance that was both soothing and exhilarating. I was struck by how quickly the riff came together, and how effortlessly it seemed to flow from one section to the next.
But as I delved deeper into the performance, I began to notice the nuances of sound and texture that were taking place beneath the surface. I started to experiment with different tunings and guitar settings, using my loop station pedal to layer multiple sounds together in a way that was both complex and beautiful. It was as if I had stumbled upon a new language, one that allowed me to express myself in ways that I never thought possible.
Despite the fact that I wasn't feeling 100% well, with a lingering ache in my back that made it difficult for me to sit still for long periods of time, I found myself becoming more and more engaged in the music. It was as if the act of playing guitar had become a form of therapy, allowing me to channel my emotions and concerns into something positive and creative.
As I continued to play, I began to think about the parallels between my experience with guitar playing and other activities that I enjoyed, such as riding BMX or working on cars. Like these pursuits, music was a source of stress relief for me, one that allowed me to focus my energy and channel it into something positive.
However, unlike these other activities, music seemed to be a more personal and intimate experience. When I played guitar, it felt like I was speaking directly to the person on the other end of the screen, sharing my emotions and thoughts in a way that was both vulnerable and cathartic. It was as if the act of playing guitar had become a form of self-expression, one that allowed me to convey feelings and ideas in a way that was both complex and beautiful.
As I finished my performance and closed out the video, I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over me. Despite the fact that it wasn't perfect – there were moments where I struggled to find the right notes or rhythm – I knew that I had created something special. And as I looked back on this experience, I realized that sometimes doing nothing can be the best thing for you, allowing you to clear your mind and focus on something that truly matters.
And so, if you guys are looking forward to a video of me playing some simulator games or other stuff, don't worry – it's not going away. But for now, I'm just going to bask in the glow of my guitar-playing triumphs, knowing that sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of creativity and self-expression to turn a bad day into a good one.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys house I warned you today the back is not doing well or just cruising around I don't think we're gonna be able to do much luckily these seats don't really bother my back much so we're heading over in the r32 to the warehouse and I'm gonna go see what's going on there so he showed up at the warehouse and Alberto's first task for today was to figure out how the s13 wastegate got stuck what did you find sir the reason why wouldn't stay closed was because this bolt was keeping and diaphragm to from going all the way down so that's 13 broke because Alberto didn't tighten the bolt enough it's just a joke I know I know the bolt out of it and then hopefully shouldn't come off again but that's gonna be another new thing now we're gonna have to be looking out for so a 13 should be back on the road I finally got my fenders for it I am going to do over fenders on the car what I can barely like bend over a little wash your car right now it is a little dirty right now huh but anyway so that car should be pretty sorted mechanically now now it's just a matter of getting it to look nice for the open house I got a ring over to Randy so we can do some paint stuff with the over fenders and totally forgot about these I've been sitting on these probably for I don't know maybe well over a month now a company called terra firma that makes and sells a bunch of rad skyline stuff basically OEM spec skyline floor mats they sent me set for mine they can put like badges or anything custom on them but i just chose plain black ones but these are super nice and they're actually conformed to fit instead of this ratty old thing we got the nice new fresh sheet that looks too good and throws me off new old new old these are sick look at how much better this looks so from what I understand these are actually designed after the Nismo old logo floor mats and another cool thing too I don't know if they're out yet or not but Terra firme is also making direct replacement carpets so if you have in our 32 that has like shot carpet you can check them out because I'm gay that's something that's not easy to get in the states so anyway thank you guys I appreciate getting the r32 looking all nice and here's this stupid Mustang tire that had that screw in that I was telling you guys about so annoying so was my first time getting sushi I guess this isn't sushi though I guess this is chicken so it's from a sushi restaurant so I'm cultured where's the chopsticks it's authentic BMW looks really nice from this angle huh I dig it you guys might have seen in my Instagram story that I wasn't pumping just normally e85 anymore if you noticed I was pumping ignite red so technically speaking that ignite red isn't 85 it is an ethanol blend it's technically there 114 octane rating designed for use in racing and like built engines and stuff and what's rad about it is it actually already comes with lubricant in it too as you guys know I've been running pump e85 and pretty much all my cars and anyone out there I guess maybe not if you're in that California because I heard they have good 85 anyone that runs 85 in their cars has heard all the horror stories about getting like junk gas from the pump and I did not want to run into that issue I have had issues where I've done the content tester on the pump fuel and had whoops my back hurts so bad that I'm like trying to push around you on the skateboard so the coolest thing about all this fuel stuff is I'm talking about you guys know my friend Cletus Cletus mcFarland he runs an ignite in his car he's actually sponsored by ignite and he got me in touch with them when he found out that I'll still run in pump e85 I talked awhile with the owner he's a really really rad dude and he decided that he was going to sponsor me there fuels so we're now gonna be running ignite red in all the cars that were previously on pump e85 it's gonna be really nice just knowing we're putting the same fuel on every single time having consistency not having to worry about any sort of issues with junky 85 sometimes the gas stations blend it with crappy stuff that'll clog up injectors and fuel filters where this stuff is as good as it gets if you can see I got 355 drums just chilling ready to be burnt up objects aside I'm insanely thankful like having a fuel sponsor is probably one of the best things you can possibly have with what I do other than maybe next to a tire sponsor but this stuff smells really rad - I always remember like the distinct smell that cletus's car had it almost smells like bourbon and there feels so pure that actually the owner will like drink it I think he has to like distill it or do something to it so it is drinkable but it burns it literally smells like bourbon if you guys ever smell like heart the event it's this stuff it's sick it Burton's cooler at Burton's cleaner and what's cool is actually made here in the USA they make all their own fuel there's no lab there's no race gas in it there's no MTBE Logan is literally race the best drink the rest I'm super excited so I didn't tell you guys this because I wasn't ready to announce it or anything but I did have the Evo tune on ignite red so that car up there is running on ignite red the s 13 we've gone ahead and converted to ignite red the skyline we're just finishing up converting to ignite red pretty much the same in terms of tune as compared to pump 85 but I do believe for whatever reason it might be because it's oxygenated but don't mark my words for that we did have to add a little bit more fuel to make sure the AFR stayed safe but the cool thing is knew that we're tuned on ignite red we can go ahead and put normal pump 85 in it if we had to if we got in a bind and the car would just run a little bit more rich so what's cool is now that we're tuned for this will be like safe for whatever so I'm really excited super thankful and I've been very excited to share the good news with you guys I have a hypothesis since the BMW seems to go all over the place much more than I did before and that coupled with the fact that the steering wheel is no longer straight when it was before shipment I have a feeling maybe when the car was shipped they used the arms or something to tie the car down on the boat or on the truck or whatever and it threw the car out of alignment which would explain the crooked wheel so if the car is tow I on the rear right now and that's 100% why it's making no traction just wanting to step out everywhere so I'm gonna check that real quick I bet that's the case based on what these two plates are telling me the car currently has almost an inch of tow in which doesn't really make sense because then it should be wanting to go straight but that is a ridiculous amount of tow in to the point where something definitely got thrown out of whack on this car just looking down at the wheel this wheel doesn't look totin that much but if we go over to the other side this one looks pretty drastically towed in in comparison it's a nice little Drive love this turbo tonight played out rather interesting so I wanted to go go-karting with everyone everyone went go-karting like all my friends and everything and I was this close to doing it but the places they went was called OKC and it's an outdoor one that doesn't have a seatbelt so there's a lot of like side-to-side leaning and leaning forward and stuff because you're not harnessed in in the go-kart and with my back hurting as much as it is I made the executive decision to determine that that probably wouldn't be the best thing for me to heal up quickly now this word gets tricky so I was like I'm not gonna go go-karting and I'll get sup done around the house usually when I bail on fun stuff to get stuff done around the house I wound up moping and wishing that I was doing the fun stuff with all the friends and not getting anything done at the house where I would have been better off going and doing the fun thing that was in the case tonight him I don't know whether it was luck or if it was a large caramel macchiato upside down but they forgot the whipped cream on but I actually got a lot done I don't know if you guys have seen kind of my area lately if I'm in full motion here like this table like decently clean for me I cleaned off my desk quite a bit not too bad and I started cleaning off this table I just kind of got camera stuff that I need to take care of but the thing that I'm a little too excited by this huh alright the thing that I cleaned off probably the most this junk room that has just been full crap still looks like it's full of crap but I've I've managed to navigate through a little bit of carpet I mean it should get some carpet showing so I could walk over and play with some guitar stuff and I was just messing around and I thought it was kind of cool like basically I'll just play for you so I'm gonna put in like a riff here it's from a new little peep song I know if you guys listen little peep whatever I there's a really cool guitar if I was like I wanna learn how to play that so I learned how to play it was like oh it's just something cool if I kind of layered some other stuff over it that's what I'm gonna do I have like a loop station pedal that like layer stuff on stuff on stuff I don't play guitar often I used to play a lot and I'm always like whenever I play in videos you haven't I only play in videos I guess I don't really fit all that much on my own so I'm usually a little bit rusty so bear that in mind but anyway I'm gonna play for you cuz I think it's kind of cool also apologize for me talking so fast I don't know if it's luck I don't know it's caramel macchiato speaking I don't know if it's me being excited about playing guitar because I've played so playing using one of my loop station pedals and although I didn't like to try to do everything one take I haven't I switch tuning and switch guitars twice so I'm just gonna like play one section cut the clip and then play the next section with the next layer I'm not a fancy music guy well you guys might recognize this riff now I got a switch to different panel and I got a drop this tuning down my other where it doesn't sound right you won't be able to hear to play and when I plan on here at overwatch perfect the ninth rope relay to give it a little bit more and we pull out the big guns this is the fun one take a couple tries and I may have messed up quite a bit but I accomplished my goal of trying to demonstrate a bunch of different though I missed one little thing that I like doing like tremolo picking where I go because like many things with cars and all other stuff I tend to be a perfectionist everyone in the back because I was fun for me I probably play more it's a nice stress reliever but I get caught in this boat kind of the same like concept that I have with like riding BMX or working in cars or drifting where like if I don't get something I get really frustrated that I end up spending hours and hours and hours but with this I got that first rift figured out like really usually really quick please quick but trying to like blink all that stuff together and one clean Ranma job is it wasn't clean but I'm still pretty proud of it might be guys enjoy this video a little bit different my back is feeling a little bit better like I can do stuff them setting up crouching down and stuff I do I hope you guys it's - thumbs up I know I saw what you guys want to see simulator stuff - I was going to do that but every time I need a signature stop end up getting discouraged because I have trouble with settings and getting a mic to sound right and stuff I'll probably fiddle around this for tonight but I thought it would be safer to play the guitar stuff make sure we got a video out for them you getting frustrated and annoyed and all that but tomorrow you don't know what I'm doing but i'ma get you a good video promise all right guyswhat's up guys house I warned you today the back is not doing well or just cruising around I don't think we're gonna be able to do much luckily these seats don't really
