**Cult of Mac App Review: Family Guide The Quest for Stuff**
I'm Joshua Smith and welcome to another Cult of Mac app review. Family Guy is an extremely popular TV series, and they've even been known to release a few games every now and then. And the new app Family Guide The Quest for Stuff is the latest addition to the roster. I decided to bring you guys an inside look at the app so stay tuned to check it out as soon as I launched the new game.
As soon as I launched the new game Family Guide The Quest for Stuff, I immediately felt like I had hopped right into the TV show and into the family Guy world right off the bat. The app tells the story of Peter getting into a crazy fight with the giant chicken thus accidentally destroying Quog, and it's your job to pick up the damage. At first tap, the app felt pretty similar to Simpsons Tapped Out but I noticed I was laughing a lot more at the dialogue and sounds of this game. The Comedy is definitely not lost.
The app keeps you entertained by completing quests which helps get Quog back up and running. There are some pretty funny tasks like making Peter and Chris play Leap frog, and helping Jerome get a hamburger. Nevertheless, it's pretty entertaining as you add buildings collect coins and clams, and just do some downright crazy stuff. While the game play is remotely easy by just tapping and following the storyline and quests, one cool feature I liked was face space, which is like a knockoff Facebook part in the game where you can read live posts from your favorite characters, and even share them with your friends.
Completing quests is actually pretty fun, and I often found myself cracking up while showing my friends the dialogue written by the real Family Guy writers. You get to go home and explore Quog which literally feels like a well-made interactive expansion of the TV series. That's why Family Guide The Quest for Stuff earns a Solid 4 and half out of five stars. I'm not even a big fan of Family Guy yet this app still kept me playing and laughing. Its graphics and sounds are just like the show, and its gameplay isn't bad at all.
However, one thing that did get annoying is that Quest took forever to complete so you either have to come back to the app later or pay in-app purchases to buy more claims to speed it up. But either way, this new family guide game is full of achievements to play for full of jokes to laugh at, and full of fun to have right on your device. That's something you might just want to go check out for yourself.
