**Unboxing and First Impressions of the HP Omen 17-inch Gaming Laptop**

I recently had the opportunity to go through some animations on my new gaming laptop, the HP Omen X. This beast of a machine is designed to handle even the most demanding games and tasks with ease. I started by playing around with the various lighting effects that come pre-installed. First up was the color cycle animation, which showed off the vibrant colors of the keyboard and surrounding areas. I also experimented with the starlight effect, which created a mesmerizing matrix-like pattern across the keys. rate it's powered by the Intel Core i7 7700 HQ that's the quad core processor clocked in at 2.8 the 3.8 gigahertz and you could overclock it now you got the nvidia geforce gtx 1070 graphics card you get 16 gigs of DDR 4 memory the hard drive is one terabyte and 256 PCIe nvme SSD now what does that mean I don't know now I'm just kidding now you get the mechanical RGB keyboard you got Bang & Olufsen speakers the battery life is five and a half hours it comes with Windows 10 home and it weighs about 10 pounds alright so here we go HP omen X now I will say it definitely has a lot of weight on this nice looking presentation comes with two boxes let's open up the first one this is gonna be the power cord shoutout to white shoes you got the daily hive so that's it for that box let's grab a let's see congratulations on your purchase plug that and file it flick it a risk warranty information plug that and file it and that's pretty much it nice presentation ok comes a little sleeve will pop this out here's your laptop now again super heavy you're not going to be carrying this around anywhere this is going to be stationary let's open this up ok nice attention to detail on like that 17-inch gaming laptop if you look on one side here's your Bang & Olufsen logo there's your power button on the top let's see what kind of ports we got alright so you got a full size SD card slot you got USB 3.1 got a bunch of fans this looks like your power input on the back you got Ethernet you got two USB type-c 3.1 those are thunderbolt compatible mini display HDMI another USB 3.1 - big giant fans on the back we'll see how much noise this makes another side got another USB headphone jack 3.5 for your mic and you're good to go let's see you got a webcam on the front now check the specs and see what that webcam is again not just I just got to stress how heavy this laptop is now I was planning on taking this with me on the flight that's out of the question hey out of the question alright so let me pause the video real quick I'll plow this up and then we'll go through the OS and we'll check out the speakers and check out the display talk amongst yourselves all right Joss we'll be back in now I got a few thing all set up so now let's test it out first things first my initial impressions fresh out of the box now I'm trying not to sound like a height beast but I love this laptop now keep this in mind I never bought a gaming laptop before I didn't see what the big deal was every time I look at these they always look so big and heavy I'd rather get a laptop that I can throw in my bag and just rock out since I'm not into PC gaming but after using this one for a few minutes this can actually replace your desktop first thing I got to mention though the size and the weight alright this video might not do it justice but this thing is literally 10 pounds and it's giant alright so if you're thinking about putting this in your backpack think again now look wise it looks so dope you see these lights on the front everything lights up ya know I'm all about that RGB life and this is full RGB status alright so I'm gonna open it up let's see how long it takes to power up from being totally off let me try to get this lit a little bit more view all right there we go in the meantime how's your weekend alright while we enjoyed this awkward silence while booting up also out of the cause there Mouse forgot what you call it all right got the cause they're Mouse cuz I don't really like using track pads alright so that load up time was pretty quick let's see that I put a password in I hold up all right so to boot up Tom nice and quick the build quality on this I love it now if you notice you see those red lights I'm gonna dim the lights so you can see the full RGB this is all plastic but it kind of has that cold steel feel to it definitely a one build quality let's see how fast this is once we open it back up alright let me put my password in one more time all right so here's your trackpad very responsive has a nice clicky buttons but one of the things that blew me away so far is this big giant mechanical RGB keyboard nice clicks listen to how loud they are you got to nerd keys highlighted WASD all right so when you playing a fresh game of Dungeons and Dragons you can get your kills on let's see what else I matter of fact let's open up the only control center I am in one command center and get that interview I'll show you what some of the options you got on deck okay so you got your GPU utilization CPU memory let's go over to lighting now you got all different lighting all right so let's go through some of these animations you got color cycle star light you got breathe in I'm gonna dim the lights in a minute so you can see what they look like ghosting ripple wave omid tear drops you got static just gives you want one color and you can also go to exterior you see those lights on the top and that big almond brand you could change those colors if you want you can change the almond lettuce and the lights on the side I'll leave it on maximum brightness now your macro keys add those and assign them if you want let's see you got your network booster blah blah blah everything that you need on your gaming laptop alright so let me turn the lights real quick take a look at this RGB keyboard all right so let's check out all the RGB keyboard effects first you got color cycle let's apply that now you can switch between fast slow and medium I got it on fast all of the keys that's gonna be a static color and they're just gonna keep changing the only sign changes all so let's take it over to starlight same thing slow medium and fast this is kind of that matrix effect I like how that looks let's take it over to a breathing now the key is just gonna breathe on and off or one static color or you can change custom colors if you want take it over to yellow we'll do blue nice breathing effect let's do ghosting now forgo thing as you type you see the letters light up now this is one of my favorite ones this is sick this is my actual typing speed I know let's take it over to ripple let's do our fast ripple now again when you type look at that oh this is lit white shoes back in the building shoes don't step on the keyboard let's go to wave now this is the one I'm probably gonna leave it on just a nice RGB wave let's go to oh man X oh you see that as you type it kind of gives you the letter X that's pretty sick let's go to raindrop okay now this is really that matrix effect let's go to audio pause okay I guess I gotta have
