Welcome back to the channel today, I want to talk about iOS 14.3 and additional new features that may be coming to the iphone here in the next couple of weeks and months to come for iphone 12 and other iphones as well. Now, first I want to talk about some really uh enhancements that we'll see pertaining to the iphone when it comes to new products that will enable these features.
For example, the first thing I want to talk about is a new feature that could be coming to Find My iPhone which enables the iphone to find any additional accessories using Find My iPhone even after it's offline. So for example, right here we see that offline finding is enabled on device for air tags. You've heard of AirTags and this is a new feature that could be enabled on 14.3 once Apple releases that new product, we might see this new feature appear on the Find My application.
Another great feature that could be coming to the iphone and this one is pretty much confirmed by apple. This one is reverse wireless charging. Now we've seen this on other products where you can charge let's say for example a pair of AirPods by placing them on the back of your iphone, and this will start charging. A recent FCC filing by Apple suggests that iPhone 12 can actually charge admit charge using magsafe and charge other devices. Apple specified that this could be coming to a potential future product from Apple, so iOS 14.3 can also open the door for reverse wireless charging if that potential other accessory becomes available.
Now this could be two things. This could be reverse wireless charging or this could be pertaining to AirTags as well. We know magsafe is a circle on the back of the iphone which is magnetically attachable to other accessories. So if we have an AirTag that can also be charged using this method, that could be what Apple is referring to but it could also be both things maybe reverse wireless charging for other AirPods as well. That may be coming in the near future.
Another great feature that could be coming to the iphone is always on display now if you've seen apple promotions recently they have a new leather sleeve for the iPhone 12 and this leather sleeve has a little window on the front which always shows the clock always on through the window that's on the case. This could be suggesting that Apple could be enabling at least at some point or at least in some form of the always on display at least on iphone 12 actually with iOS 14.2 we saw that the apple leather case actually received support with 14.2 so this feature could already be here on iphone.
The always on display but once apple releases that case in the near future, we could be seeing this feature become available for the iphone other minor things that could happen could be additional features to the wallpaper ui. I know we talked about this for quite some time but I'm hoping that Apple at some point will address the uh lack of features for the wallpaper ui on the iphone and uh yeah hopefully that's everything we'll get with 14.3 here in the near future and some of the latest 14.2 features.
